Welcome to BirchwoodBiker
No fancy editing here, just a working class man who has been riding and repairing my own bikes since 10 years of age.
I enjoy nothing better than being out riding any motorcycle anywhere enjoying the moment. camping and short tours
I am not a mechanic and do not show videos' on how you should repair or ride a vehicle, just use your own discretion, and if you need repairs to your bike sort after professional advise.

Great to see your progress. Get well soon. Then you are back on the motorcycle.
Much appreciated👍👍👍
Really enjoying your videos, can I ask what screen you have need to replace mine with something taller but don’t want a sail size one 👍
Cheers Ian much appreciated, Honda NC750X 2021 Touring Screen, 550mm Tall, made In The Uk New. slipscreenslimited (70972) BusinessRegistered as business seller 98% positiveSeller's other itemsSeller's other itemsContact seller £54.08. I would be honest look for Puag Screen they are better 👍👍👍
Size seems spot on original is about 400mm can I ask what make it is please ?👍
Apologies didn’t scroll down far enough you recommended a puig one is that the standard touring one ?
I'm so glad you mentioned that with the CBR 650r you're leaning forward and you can feel it because that's not for me, I think I might be much better off with just the cb650r I plan on going for long rides so I'd rather have a more comfortable seating position and ergonomics.
The CB650r would be the one for me there great bike👍👍👍
If you are pulling away in 3rd because you can all the e-clutch is doing is slipping the clutch which eventually will cause the clutch to wear out prematurely good technology but treat with respect otherwise is going to cost you down the track, less complicated than the dct as when that fails only a specialist at Honda will be able to fix it. My bike is the Honda cb500x and my car is a Toyota and it’s a manual. Driving a manual bike and car on a twisty road is wear I am happiest.
SBF are to be avoided, due to them charging a £200 admin fee do "checks" they should be doing before buying the bike in the first instance. What's dishonest about it, is they tack it on after the fact, instead of just adding it to the total for sale price like a sensible person/business would do - kzread.info/dash/bejne/i35olI-tg6uagc4.html
I was charged £100 6 years back I just would walk away, that's theft👍👍👍
Hello BWB: Very informative video on the merits of DCT. I am curious as to your age? I am 68 and have been biking for 42 years. I am intrigued about the NC 750X with DCT and will be looking for a 2022 or 2023 Grand Prix red next year. The bike seems bullet proof. I like the practical efficiency of it. Thank you taking the time to do these videos. Dave from Nova Scotia, Canada
Hi Dave I'm 59 and like you I've been on bikes since I was 10 49 years, you want go wrong with the NC don't list to it's boring far from it, and you will get great mpg returns and low maintenance cost, get a ride on one if you can👍👍👍
A up Bud . glad you are able to get out and about again , for me Maintenance and cleaning is a big part of Motorcycling just knowing its the best it can be when your riding , stay safe out there mate.
Cheers Dale same for me 👍👍👍
At 50 years old, I've never driven a motorcycle before. I picked up a used Himalayan a couple months ago, and I'm loving it.
FANTASTIC👍👍👍
Glad to see your on the mend. As I mentioned i also recently had a similar procedure and now they've whittled down the number and strength of the drugs they gave me i now feel that I'm finally going to get my GoldStar out of the garage for a little tootle. Looking forward to it.
It's quiet a hard thing to get your head around, but I'm def on the mend have to say 1st ride today I done 145 miles but am much more tired than before, send me some pics of the bike, and glad your back to 100%👍👍👍
Best therapy ever the NC, all the best, glad you're on the mend.
144 miles of it today, that would of cost me a fortune with a shrink, and it was only £12.00🤣🤣🤣👍
Great news...enjoy the ride... I'm looking forward to many new videos. Ade
Cheers Ade much appreciated👍👍👍
Hi Paul, I'm glad you're back up to a ridout ,take ot steady, and don't get into any road rage 😂 That TFR has to be really diluted down, or it stains alloy as I'm sure you know
Cheers Gaz I'm surprised I have any paint with my concoctions 🤣🤣🤣👍
Well your effort is paying off. The weight loss is noticeable, and It will make the bike faster as well!
Cheers your right I've done 145 miles today and it cost less for fuel Kching 🤣🤣🤣👍
16:11 What the fuck?
A picture of stents which I had installed due to Heart Attack👍
Hiya mate, Im glad to see you looking so well, its great to see you preparing the mighty NC for a ride out, good on ya.
Cheers Paul👍👍👍
Good to see your recovering well Paul, hope you get a fair few good rides in over the coming months. Get yourself over to God's own, you'll definitely feel better then.
I love my bikes but jesus i hate washing them or dying it down on rainy days before it goes away.
Riding over now to see how it's done on my bike!😊
dam just put the pressure wash away🤣🤣🤣👍
Your dirty NC is cleaner than my 'just cleaned' NC. Though to be fair I view my NC as a workhorse...Good to see you back.
they more economical and go faster 🤣🤣🤣👍
@@birchwoodbiker Maybe I need to apply 'go-faster stripes' to mine...
I bought a bike of them a few years ago never again bike was dirty break pads where worn filter was very dirty and oil they said it had been changed balls shit it was not so if they lie what else are they liying about
I think that's the issue in most places although my 1 bike I bought was spot on, although it was mint in the showroom👍👍👍
Staff are sales people not bikers
Your probably right, they need to keep the lights on👍👍👍
I have the same blue FZ6. I love the bike but I have duly noted your warning about the low fuel notification 🤣
If you like being spoken down to and being treated like a gullible idiot that knows sweet FA buy you motorcycle from here. If not then maybe you should consider some where else.
Got one, and I love it. FZ6 2006
they are a great bike👍
Bought FZ6N S2 as my first bike. Super nice. Did my first oil change, changed seals+fork oil. It has quite a lot of power! So i am quite careful with it. The acceleration is quite strong, usually i ride around 3k-6k rpm, I definetly feel that it wants more rpm...
Fantastic bike the power increases as you move over 7k, as everyone says they are a R6 engine, but they been given more mid range power, I'm still undesided if I'll sell mine, great all rounder, ride safe BB👍
Just look at all the bits that are on the ADV and Forza to see what could be done to the NC but then it would be knocking on the door of the NT1100 and Honda want it just as their “commuter” bike.
Yes I think your spot on, it makes good money for little effort👍👍👍
Problem with the tank is its overall positioning. BMW had the bike with a side filler but the tank on the NC sits quite high to put the filler elsewhere.
Ace bars as a youth and upright as an almost 60 year old.and your politics are on point too mate. i did subscribe now
Thanks for stopping by! 👋
Keep putting quality bikes like yours I may even be buying again👍👍👍
love your review and i can figure we are very similar in what we want and think of many bikes. Never knowingly set my suspension up or had it done , just ride and adjust to what is on offer and as for the Bandit i sold my good old 96 B600 when Ulez started then went Msx125 - XJ600 Diversion - New cb500x - and now im back on a Bandit 650 as they are a pretty reliable work horse. Eventually i may get a Vogue 300 for some light trail riding . all the best
Cheers Chris, got to say the vouge 300 a brilliant bike on the short ride I had it, can't go wrong with the Bandit, but you swap if you rode the NC that's me being cheeky👍👍👍, thanks for subscribing really appreciate people enjoy
Take care and recover asap
Thankyou
Was the original chain beyond its wear limit? At what miles? My NC hasn't yet needed any adjustment after 3k miles
I put wide bars with risers love this bike and I own a BMW S1000r and 900 Hornet but this is my everyday go-to bike best investment I have ever made.
This is my 3rd FZ6 and I had 3 of the older mk1 Fazer's great bike lots of fun on them if you want to play, doesn't beat the NC in fuel, but much nicer in the bends👍👍👍
Good to see your home bud , take it steady you`ll soon adapt to the changes you make and hopefully feel better for it😁
Cheers Dale much appreciated👍👍👍
