Any chance to get Brian Wampler back, after 7 years? I enjoy his Chasing Tone podcast a lot, and it could get really interesting when he's allowed to be a more on-topic than in his own podcast. 😆
🤘🏽
Interview Todd Langer
James Root METALLICA
I respect that many of the comments about music, in general, that you folks had discussed, still stands over 6 years after this interview took place.
Dave Friedman is the lord and master of all that is tube
Now that’s a rig 😎 love the show cheers Marc 🍻
the way he talks reminds me of Roth
The Torin Nealson show would be a good time to showcase Marc's pedalboard.
Are you kidding???? a 100W VH style plexi from Dave?!?!???!?! HOW DO YOU EVEN THIINK TO ASK?!?!? Woo hoo!!! That will sell off the charts 🤪🤘🇦🇺🍺
Friedman clearly not on the same level as Martin Kidd. Friedman is a copier of what had been done while he was licking lollypops, Martin is an innovator. Having the MKII head, Freidman amps can not compare.
LOL Keep Blowin Smoke
Always learning new things from Tone Talk!!! What a treat!
I can see him and listen to him talking all day without feeling bored, even his way of speaking and his voice everything is perfect.
B squad amp builders.
Wolfgang special is also on Prime, FYI!
I have zero interest in lps....
I have ( 2) 7.1 Denon receivers. 1 room has the full surround. The other is stereo plus center channel. The Klipsch KG-2 have enough lows. I removed the sub. I also use a DBX 119 to take analog tv and limit tv. I switch to digital when watching BD.
Marc, what’s the harley benton you’re getting? Inquiring minds want to know. lol
Hey it’s the Harley Benton HT Modern.
@@tone-talkPerfect. Thanks!
Thanks I enjoyed that 👌
That interview with Zeke was bad. He sounded like he didnt know what he was talking about and most of what he said was wrong and just tring to sound cool and mysterious. Why did he keep saying Edward Van Halen too and not just Ed or Eddie. It was annoying.
You guys probably get more metal heads than metallurgy nerds, but the fundamental mechanism for tin wisker formation is not well understood. It has been observed in the laboratory and hypothesized that it is primarily due to different compressive stresses that produce shearing at the through thickness grain boundaries with particular orientation to the film layer. Tin extrudes from the grains, whose surface oxide films are sheared. Dave is correct that if they are cleaned, they will in fact return; however, the problem was first discovered in the 40s.
Addicted to the show😂😂❤❤

Hey Marc, is the Patreon still happening?
Hey there, I’d like to do it ideally but I just can’t find the time to do extra content. I don’t want to take anyone’s money if we can’t provide added content for the added funds. Maybe one day!
I had a friend who had a PV Rock Master. I thought it sounded like ass. My mp1 was far better.
Great Show as always!!
I’m sure Grover commissioned and planned it with Ed, but photographic proof shows Karl Sandoval built it. Tim Wilson and Mike Shannon built Randy Rhoads’ Concorde but Grover claims he also built that. Now like with Ed, it’s known he commissioned and did all the planning with Randy for that guitar as well but I doubt he actually had a hand in building that guitar or Ed’s bumblebee either.
"rig show" woo-hoo looking forward to it!
You don't re-paint, you don't re-record art.. disgusting!
how about a synergy "jose" module?
39:46 Friedmann is German Your Polish neighbours will be shocked you’ve not heard of them Gdańsk! Bless you
+1 on the EVH spec Plexi!! Please use 4 inputs though?
More importantly is it a Hawk Tua town?
😂
Is Metro D coming back? Or can it be custom ordered?
Gold plated tube pins are fine if tube socket contacts are gold plated as well.
Yes. Male and Female connectors must be the same metal. For conductance and corrosion resistance.
@@Ontariosound And if you buy 60-70 years old NOS tubes with gold plated pins, you don't need to fight with pins covered by oxidation. I recently purchased some very nice NOS Telefunken tubes but pins were so heavily oxidated that they were almost green. 😡
Two dissimilar metals will exhibit galvanic corrosion over time.
Got my IRX Two weeks ago and i have to say it is the BEST guitar related thing i have bought. I hate you Dave... now i have to get the money to buy BE Deluxe :P........
I’m on Dave’s side on both his opinions on hockey and his amps.
Go Panthers!! 😊
Need Pete to join the mentioned upcoming "rig show." His live experience is extensive.
Ohhhhh yeah! That upcoming rack rig episode is going to be killer. I've watched the other one like 5 times, lol! My favorite episode of all time along with Bradshaw, Suhr, Soldano, and the Jake one. Maybe the guy who builds the current Trainwreck amps would come on? He worked with Ken as Dave mentioned and I'm sure he has a ton of insight and stories to tell of working with Ken.
Those episodes were great. Try the Pilson
@@Severin-Reed Yes, an awesome and funny episode for sure!! The one with James Brown was awesome as well. I was surprised how much so actually. Maybe they'll have some guests in the rack episode... Nielsen is a must and Leon Todd would be awesome - another fellow rack nerd.
The Original Six are the teams that composed the National Hockey League (NHL) between 1942 and 1967. The six teams are the Boston Bruins, Chicago Black Hawks, Detroit Red Wings, Montreal Canadiens, New York Rangers, and Toronto Maple Leafs. After serving as the league's only teams for 25 seasons, they were joined by six new franchises in the 1967 NHL expansion.
Yes on the 100 watt plex w/VH specs!!
100-WATT PLEX VH SPEC...Say YES!
YESSSS!!!!
it took this long to ask this? YES!! Dave definitely knows how to get himself in trouble. Guitar nerds all over KZread just caught sight of the “Ring of Power.”
Dave: "I'm rooting for Edmonton" Marc: "Screw you" 🤣🤣
That's why we love these guys. 😆
Go Oilers!!
I was hoping that they would have bet on the winner and the bet would have been some very valuable guitar or amplifier. 🤓
🤘🏻
why do you show yourself having beer? you drunk 😂
Someone told me they had trouble blowing a transformer up with a Tom sholz power soak attenuator, are they known to do this, haven't hooked mine up in years, been to afraid too until I clear up this rumor.
I have been using 9-40 since 1996 starting with the Erinie Ball 5150's. Still do to this day and just buy a bunch of single strings to switch out the low e and g.
18:09 or 15
1:20:43 I did this exact thing, learned drums and double bass and only use it for cardio.
I just emailed you David would that work in a 1970 Marshall major which is all stock thanks a lot
