Bending Spoons. It’s a curious name, right? It’s from The Matrix, where the hero discovers that what seems impossible often isn't so. In 2013, when we were a punchy little start-up, the parallel was fitting.
Today, it’s more appropriate than ever.
That five-person startup has become one of Europe’s leading tech companies-with 300+ bright, inspiring, and hard-working Spooners from over 35 countries. Our category-leading products-including Splice and Remini-have been downloaded half a billion times and delight millions of people every day.
Plenty has changed since our early days. But our mission remains steadfast. We’re still going all-out to make an enduring positive impact on our customers, on our fellow Spooners, and on society at large. And we’ve only just crossed the starting line on what we want to accomplish.
An impossible mission? Maybe. We’re all-in on finding out.
P.S. Head to www.bendingspoons.com to learn more about us-and our award-winning workplace.

The concept is compelling, but the final questions could have benefited from greater technical specificity. I would like to hear more about them in detail.
A valuable opportunity to hear directly from the InstantNGP author. Thank you!
Bruh. The cooperate nightmare has you 😅
AI will eat our jobs faster than we can invent new ones, all sectors of society will be affected-just look at how few motor car workers there are left today lin the industry because of the introduction of robots. There will be few things left for us to do that can not be done quicker and more accurately by an AI-powered system so how will our society cope with so much unprecedented human obsolescence?
If the team was amazing soo far in all the videos I had the chance to watch the official is an amazing bonus
This is strange as I already love the vibe of every single soul I could see in every video. Like all of them already mentioned way too many times, it feels toooo good to be true but somehow it is. I can’t wait to have my chance to apply for any available working opportunities you will have
Did you apply
This is not even a "tech" company. It is more like a holding company that purchases tech companies at a low price, fires all their staff and screws over the existing users by milking every single buck from them.

When self training, can't the model just diverge from ground truth? because it is using its own predictions as training data for the next step
what an amazing work! I came here researching about NeRF but the applications of this are far beyond only NeRF
I'm applying 😅, where I'd love to be
I love this community, I count myself part of this prestigious team 🎉
I have just applied, and was researching more, saw this and its really amazing and I will love to be part. 🧠and💃
i love how useless this video is without the slides.
What would JESUS say? Holy c r ap!
I wanna be a part of this team!
Why are they concentrating on his face? The whole video is almost useless since we can't see the slides.
Questo video mi ha portata indietro ai tempi della pandemia quando dovevo lavorare da casa e star dietro a mio figlio di tre anni! Ora ci rido e mi fa ridere il vostro video, ma è tutto vero!! :D
I totally agree with you saying that recruiters often see people as fixed, as they were just what they did as a job or what they studied. People is not just this, people is also a work in progress which make a persone become something else. And then again, we always evolve and discover something new about ourselves. It's intelligent imagining how your employees will be in the next years, it's not common! Thank you for sharing this ⭐
The more I look into Bending Spoons the more I love the way they operate. I have hired people who didn't have the experience needed but I could see the potential in them and this has worked out great for me and them. It really goes beyond just seeing the potential, you have to draw it out of them and convince them of it.

Science Radio, Swedish Radio (and Max Tegmark) can probably shut down their fanatic AI dystopia now..! Just look at how ChatGPT managed my rel. simple question (a theoretical physics problem)..!?! It couldn't even manage to leave a correct answer..! Not even a likely one... but on the contrary... an improbable one! Here is my question (and the answer from ChatGPT): If we hit a tennis ball with a speed of 100 km/h relative to us against a train coming towards us with a speed of 200 km/h, at what speed will the bouncing ball come towards us in km/h? ChatGPT If we hit a tennis ball with a speed of 100 km/h relative to us against a train coming towards us with a speed of 200 km/h, we can use the principle of relative motion to calculate the speed of the ball after the bounce. When the ball bounces off the train, it changes direction and will move back towards us. To determine the speed of the bouncing ball after the collision, we need to take into account both the speed of the ball relative to the train and the speed of the train relative to us. If the speed of the ball relative to us is 100 km/h and the speed of the train relative to us is 200 km/h, we can use the principle of relative motion: Speed of the ball relative to us = Speed of the ball relative to the train + Speed of the train relative to us = 100 km/h + (-200 km/h) [since the speed of the train is directed towards us] Thus, the bouncing ball will come towards us with a speed of -100 km/h relative to us. The negative sign indicates that the ball is moving towards us in the opposite direction to the movement of the train. In absolute terms, the speed of the ball is 100 km/h. I didn't think that Max would take my science vision (sci-fi nonsense) "In the beginning man created the internet" seriously..!?? The one I sent him 15-20 years ago. But apparently it is so, according to the improbable doomsday scenarios about AI, he spreads in the media. An "AI researcher" creates AI systems..! Not someone who criticizes and speculates about the future of AI and humanity. Max is a theoretical astrophysicist and nothing else......
Gosh that panel with Elon et al is probably the most heavy-hitting panel I've ever seen in a single frame. Reminds me of this photo i.pinimg.com/originals/fe/0a/f9/fe0af92ce02a9072b87d40cd1da479fd.jpg
Fantastic Video Max!!! Yes it needs to be be formed democratically.
How will we know if Ai is ever conscious ?
How do you truly know that anyone other than yourself is conscious? If you can answer that, then you can answer your own question regarding AI.
I don’t get why the question about the mountain with the heads was thought to be so difficult. I got St Paul in two minutes using Google maps and Google search….the only intelligence required was to realise that the subject was ‘currently in’ South Dakota because no information had been given about any further travels after he arrived at Mount Rushmore…an AI would take that for granted because that was all the info it had, whereas a human might get stuck thinking “well it doesn’t say where he currently is”.
I'm not sure, but I think this talk took place in Italy.
@@jdgoodwin3136thanks but not really relevant to the question.
@@tsb3093 I'm sorry. I assumed that you possessed the capacity to infer from my reply that an Italian audience may not be as geographically familiar with the American Midwest as a person from say, Arizona or even Manitoba. You seem to have not understood that a comparison was being illustrated. That comparison was between AI and an audience in Italy. Even if instructed by the presenter, I doubt many in that audience would immediately open their laptops and/or smartphones and do a Google search during a presentation. Capisci?
@@jdgoodwin3136 I do and I did but he wasn’t comparing the LLM’s performance against a non USA based audiences knowledge. He was just presenting it as a smart answer full stop. He even said that he himself didn’t know the answer although he lives in the USA. The location of the point he made was unrelated to the location of the presentation. I just don’t think that it was a terribly difficult question to demonstrate the intelligence of AI.

I don't think optimism is warranted given the genetically determined primitive drives and resulting stupid, cruel and self-defeating behaviors which humanity has demonstrated that it is unable to transcend except in too limited numbers and too limited degrees to produce a good result for us.
You are way too pessimist, have you seen us eliminating ourselves with nuclear weapons ? :)

Hey great video explaining a little bit about bending spoons. I'll say that I feel a bit better today about the @evernote acquisition. I'm rooting for you to make. @evernote even better! 🙏
The host asked a question at the end of the lecture about the Microsoft "friend in your pocket". He mentioned, and seems to have no problem accepting, without question, that the conversations with it included racist and insulting comments - I would really like to know who decided what a "racist comment" was considering who/what is judging what acceptable language and "misinformation" is these days. I get the feeling that this host is a super liberal. Max's responses about Europe being such a democratic group (and so much better at it than the "Americans") doesn't seem to take into account that it has a terrible track record for being governed by dictators and ROYALTY - not to mention socialists, Marxists, communists and the like. How many times has the US pulled their arses out of the fire? I think he needs to check the filters on his lenses. They (Europe) want to steer the world in the "right direction"? They don't even know how to read a compass! I'm definitely not comfortable with them deciding what is the "right direction" or their ability to manage it even if they can come up with it. We have never had an individual, group, society, cult, religion, government, or nation that has been able to perform that miracle. If we can't control it should we build it? Of course not, but we will because we can and like Max said "because there is so much money and power in it". The two most important factors to the human race. We will do it with the usual disregard for the consequences - just like we have done with everything else of importance. Humans just don't yet (if ever) have the common sense, judgement, humility, moral compass, self control, empathy, or just about any of the qualities it takes to develop something this powerful without using it improperly. Take a look at how poorly we have introduced the internet and social media to society - and we want to let this enormously powerful technology loose on the world? Take a look at the scumbags who are running the world now and tell me they are capable of developing this technology without screwing it up.
That palm example at 8:13 o_O looks better than ChatGPT...
I hate to say it but, Max's demeanor and his ability to speak clearly and fluently don't match up with lectures I have heard him give in the past. His ideas and freedom to articulate his ideas openly seem to be being stressed by his association with entities like Google. Is that why he seems to be hesitating while he decides whether his words will satisfy his masters? - or is it just that time is taking its toll on his speaking skills???????? I recall much better from him.
Mitico!
