    These comments are hilarious don't own a machine if you can't work on it yourself. Belt change on kine takes 20 minutes. Pretty simple and quickly done. Plus if don't high range ride constantly on difficult terrain you shouldn't burn up belts.

    Thanks for keeping it real, and not editing out the fun parts, like fighting to get the belt off.

    Was there any special alignment or just open and close the clutch?

    @@newpylong My friend and I both bought 2015 machines. He got a sportsman 570 and I got a foreman 500. The sportsman broke all the time and he got tired of it and sold it. I still have my foreman and it has been sunk once. Still runs like a champ. I don't really use it for mudding or trail riding anymore, more of a utility machine now. The sportsman was fun when it worked

    HI, I have a 2010 Sportsman 850 EPS Touring and need to align the CVTs as the secondary is misaligned to the primary CVT. This is engaging the secondary even at idle RPMs and making it difficult to shift gears. How do i go about sorting the alignment? I have 3 tools from Polaris Special tool set to align but dunno which one is the right one ( PA - 47346, 2870654, EBS 2872292). In case the tools are not right how else can I adjust and align the CVT pulleys?

    How to change a Polaris 850 belt in the field: Put it in park. Take out the key. Remove wallet Extend thumb Pay the next man down the trail on a Japanese quad to take you home.

    What a royal p.i.t.a.! I don't have to remove one thing to get to my clutch cover on my Kawasaki. Not one. If I had to go through this stupidity every time, I'd be pushing the thing off a cliff.

    Your secondary needs to be shimmed properly. The secondary should not be spinning when the engine is idling. This makes it hard to shift. Once shimmed right, it will shift very easily.

    what was the hook shaped tool you were using. Did it allow you to slide the pulleys closer together. Any help is appreciated

  • @BourbonLegend46
    @BourbonLegend468 жыл бұрын

    The service manual calls it a Belt Removal Tool and should be included in the tool kit that came with the bike. It's got a small hook at one end for opening up the clutch sheaves to remove the belt and the larger end is used to adjust the pre-load on the suspension. Hope that helps.

    Since that belt was almost 7 years old and still in pretty good condition I'm not too concerned. Besides, I prefer to actually have all 4 wheels turn when I put it in 4WD.
