Great video as always. I love the way we both abstain from buying more!😉
Thank you and thanks for watching my channel.
Happy Shopping, John. Have a great week! 🙂🙃🙂
Hey Maureen, hope you have had an amazing week! Hoping to get some stitches done over the next few days.
I have never bought a Villa Rosa Design pattern before but after seeing the Dainty Machines pattern- well, I just had to have it and I ordered it directly from Villa Rosa. I am going to make the sewing machines out of my huge Kaffe fabric supply. Villa Rosa should make you an affiliate!! I think you must be one of their best fans. So thank you for enabling me!!
I do love their patterns and how quickly everything goes together. Its just funny how you find designers, fabric makers and pattern makers that you just love.
Wow, thx! Have fun.
Thanks so much and thanks for watching!
I love watching you open your goody bags/boxes. Lots of sewing ahead for you 👍😃. BTW, I said I wasn’t going to buy any fabric for the rest of week in your Sunday Live…..well, I didn’t even make 24 hours lol, I bought fabrics from SS live on Monday 😂🥹
Thanks Joyti. I mean I do work hard for my money and should be able to spend it. But then I get it and I'm like, where do I put that. Thanks for being part of my KZread family.
Great sales gets me too John.
Vera, I tell you, I need to leave those emails closed.
Although I don't quilt Your videos always inspires me to get back to my sewing machine. Thank you !😁
Ah Barb that is awesome, thank you! This is still so new to me. You'll get back on that machine when your ready.
Oh how cute the sewing machine pattern is. Never saw fabric of pin before so no wonder you bought it. Love the 50’s material. No wonder you couldn’t pass up those kits and fabric.
That's why I keep trying to not open emails. But that sewing machine patten and the fabric was just too cute.
You're well set for retirement! Mercy, you have more projects ready to go than I can imagine!
I know but I keep thinking I'll have a snow day and get back on track. The only problem, I live in Phoenix - LOL
@@guyscrafttoo I'm not waiting for a snow day in Jacksonville, FL either, hurricane day, maybe, but no snow!
I ❤your attitude about shopping and spending money.
And it took awhile but I tracked down and purchased a Bear Hugs quilt KIT (in Canada).
Oh that is awesome! My niece told me awhile, we go to work to make more and you never know what tomorrow brings. I see so many people leaving us too early, that saved everything and never enjoyed life.
3 Dudes used to have a quilt store...they were terrific!! Great fabrics and super cute kits/panels! I have a bunch of jelly rolls, would enjoy a sew along...see ya tomorrow!!!
Oh wow, had no idea. I really would like to get to know those guys especially since they are local.
Nice haul! I love that haunted mansion project...can't wait to see you make that.
I'm excited and for that price I just had to do it.
I enjoyed the video but..... What happened to you tonight?
Hey Katy, Just completely lost track of time. Unfortunately, my brain doesn't function when I get near a quilting store and a sale. Sent you an email, lets get something on the books again.
@@guyscrafttoo thank you for letting me know and I'm about to answer your email too. ;) :)
Wow! I love them all, you HAD to buy that 5 dollar a yard fabric and the kits!! Wow, good haul. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Jeane, its hard when there is real quality fabric not to grab it up.
You scored big time!! And like we talked about, once you retire, your spending will slow down, so you'll be thankful for having fabric and quilts squirreled away! I was so overwhelmed...so many people, too many tabs open in my brain, felt like I was in the way...I didn't do too bad, $60 for the am visit. Came home, let my senses settle down, went back and spent $20.00 (I found a beautiful vintage hexie flower quilt a few weeks ago at Goodwill, and bought a bit of fabric to add a couple borders.)
Girl, that was awesome. Yes, I know how you can feel but you know me, right in the middle. It was so awesome seeing you. Can't wait to see the projects you turn out.
@@guyscrafttoo we loved seeing you too!! I ended up putting the Halloween quilt kit back...my daughter didn't like it 😕
Wow nice haul !
Thanks Glenda and thanks for watching!
Happy Shopping, John. You did get some good buys today. Get them when you see them. Say Hi to Curtis. 😊
Hey Maureen, Thanks so much! I know I have such a stock pile but I did save quite a bit.
Oooh, I love that Halloween quilt, is that a panel? Ooooh I love that party animal quilt! Oooh I love that Holiday Hound quilt! Mr Snowflake is adorable, oooh I love the Witches Hat panel! What a fabulous haul! Enjoy everything John! I love when you go shopping 😁
Thanks Joyti. I am planning to stop until Black Friday. I have so much but the savings here were just too much to pass up.
@@guyscrafttoo I don’t blame you, you got some really good bargains and beautiful everything ! Lol. Don’t stop, you work hard for your money, If you see it, you want it, keep buying it! I did that with yarn before I resigned my job. I can now open a yarn and fabric shop! Lol
Were you supposed to be on a live with Katy the Greenland quilter?
Yes, but I had told her I had show tickets. Then that got cancelled so I thought I could do both and ended up losing track of all time. I felt bad, she said no one showed up. I'm working on getting another one set up with her. She is such a sweetheart.
What do you use for your fabric boards? I ordered some from Amazon and had to send them back because they were so thin.
Hey Vera, I will put the link below. Hopefully it works. I agree, I used other boards and finally found these that I think had just the right amount of stiffness. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BM37HD6C/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I just checked and they are sold out. I bought some foam board I am going to try
That may work. These are I think 50 lb, that's the weight I found I like. I have had to buy them from two different distributors in the past. Seems like they cant keep that weight or size in stock. Let me know how those work.
@@guyscrafttoo I have a feeling they are too think 3/4”. The mess cutting them is horrible!
Excited for you.
Thanks Joyti. Going to be a fun morning.
Excited to see it!
Thanks Vera, you know me and a sale.
Super excited
Donnell, me too, i was up early this morning for no reason. So I cut out two more quilts LOL
Have fun! Can't wait to see your studio come together. 😊
Thanks Stephanie, its certainly a challenge. Can't believe how much space everything takes.
Fun fun!!!! See y'all Sunday!!!
Hey Ms Sally, sales are always fun and I actually don't make the trek to this store very often.
@@guyscrafttoo watching my fav LQS online, then again at 4p...wasn't gonna buy anything, then the perfect backing fabric for a quilt for my cousin and her hubby...5 yards/$30 ... works for me! Hope you had fun!!
Have fun shopping! Buy, Buy, Buy, tee-hee.
You know I don't need encouragement. LOL
Thank you.
Thanks for watching Jeane
Thanks for the info!
Thanks for joining in.
Hi John, I'm sorry I missed your "live" program. I subscribe to a weather channel. Not "The Weather Channel" and your storm was on there tonight. I hope you stayed safe. Take care. 🙂🙃🙂
Hey Maureen, you were missed but glad you caught the replay. Storms were just crazy last night. I will admit still getting use to their verocity here.
Hello John! Tucson here and monsoon is here
Martha, hope you stayed safe last night. Our storm was crazy. Thanks for joining the channel. We need to grow our Arizona base. LOL
Hi John, I really like the Shiloh pattern, too. Most patterns that I like look like the traditional patchwork type. 🙂🙃🙂
Hey Maureen, nothing wrong with traditional. I'm trying to mix it up more but you know we all fall back to our comforts.
Shiloh looks like a fun stitch. I haven't done my Villa Rosa quilt idea yet. When you get to long arming your quilts would you be willing/able to show us? Or at least a parade of "ta da" footage?
I really would like to do longarm and actually more things. I'm hoping after Labor Day that my channel will move in that direction some. Thanks for watching.
I `ve never heard of Villa Rosa so i paused you & went & checked it out. From what i seen i think i might give them a try. Thank you & Happy sewing & be blessed.
Welcome Glenda, and yes, I'm a huge fan. I'm still so new and their patterns give me the feel of doing something more sophisticated but at my level.
This was a great batch of patterns!! Accordion looks really cool!!
Hey girl, doesn't it. I was like WOW that really just pops!
I ordered 26 patterns from them last week. I already had a lot of them.
Oh my, they just go together so quickly and I love the look.
I have the Shiloh pattern and love it!
Hey Vera, Just something about this pattern really caught my attention this time.
thx
you are welcome!
Shiloh was easy! That was the pattern that didn't have a front to when I bought kits at QuiltCon. You're going to have sew much fun with these patterns!
I think it will make a beautiful fall quilt. Just hope I don't have to shop for fabric - LOL
Hi John and Curtis!!!
Hey Sally, it is always good to hear from you! I hope you have had an amazing week!
Would you happen to know where I could find a VR pattern called Business Card? They no longer have it available.
Unfortunately, not. I can post on my FB to see if any followers has a copy. Did you happen to reach out to VR to see if they have it electronically? My guess is this was before they went digital with patterns but could prompt them to add it.
The Prairie Christmas is adorable!
Thanks so much and thanks for watching.
I missed the live 😭 errands and dropping the daughter off at work. This heat is killing me! The snowman quilt is SO adorable!!! And yes, the little jack-o-lantern fabric is so fun!! I haven't seen a bobcat in forever...but we do see the coyotes a lot!
You are always missed. I can't wait for 35th's Christmas in July. I know I'm not suppose to be spending money but I haven't been to the main store this year.
@guyscrafttoo is Christmas in July next weekend? I was new to sewing last July so I missed it last year.
Hey Girl, It is always that last weekend of the month. I think they purposely do it after black bag which if they asked me, doesn't make sense. but hey, a sale is a sale.
@@guyscrafttoo hopefully I can make it 🤞🤞
Can't wait to sew the table runner - I bet it will be adorable!!!
Thanks, me too. I'm anxious to see how my cutting skills come out.
Oh man, you got some AMAZING kits!! Love Jingle Bells!! I'm still trying to find the perfect pattern for the Twas fat quarter bundle I bought last year 🤦🏼♀️
I have more patterns than I need. The issue is when I grab one I can't ever match up like I thought.
Those gnomes are adorable!!!!
Don't know why but I just love my gnomes.
I agree....prepping to sew is not fun. Cutting is my least favorite. Now using fat quarters to make pillows. Here in SE Connecticut we have a local store with fat quarters for $.75 each.....! Have a great week.
That is amazing
Hi John, You got some beautiful Christmas fabrics. I, also, had to stop opening emails, I was just out of control with MSQC, You will have some beautiful projects with what you shared with us tonight. Have fun with your quilting. Say Hi to Curtis. 🙂🙃🙂
Hey Maureen, Yes emails are the death of me at the moment.
I bought a few of the layer cakes also. I bought the Petra and already made it up. I love it.
I would love to see that. These were just too cute to pass on. .
@@guyscrafttoo every single print is great with it
The good thing about having the 3 Halloween quilts you are working on is that when finished, you will be ahead of the season.
For once, I'm working ahead and not after.
I cut out 3 projects while riding out hurricane Beryl.
I can't believe you could concentrate to cut anything.
@@guyscrafttoo I cut the day before it came in and the next day after it stormed through.
I had a tree come down but it didn’t hurt my house thank God.
