From you remarks about older K2 skis being soft, I don't think that you ever spent the day on the Apache Recon.
how much is worth it to avoid a leg ski injury ? I broke my tibia 40 years ago and I broke my achilles a month ago. Please, leave all of this to a technician. it's your health and safety we are talking about here. I wish I had not experienced any of those two injuries...... thanks for your video. regards. Pablo.
Great review. I own all of those jacket types and my favorite being the polartec 300 weight like the Denali jacket shown ( TNF. ) I can add that soft shells look warm but they are not. The fleece thickness is usually low.
Good vid 👍
Is this ski going to be inaccessible for a true intermediate and hold them back or will they be able to improve with it over time?
I have 2 denali jackets. There are no pit zips in mine? I think TNF stopped that years ago after the 1st generation Denalis
Hi, is it a lot stiffer than the 84 (that has no titanal) or does it keep the same soft feel and ability to change turns radius ?
It's kind of sad that BYU is sending us to a 15 year old video. You'd think they would update it by now, but nope.
Nice and short guide. However, I think one thing is missing. It isn't mentioned whether to do this seated or standing. Maybe something to add.
I still have these!!! Those were th days!
This is a fabulous ski. I agree with the top rating. This is a hall of fame ski. Super performance and unreal durability.
4 stars out of how many stars?
Owned them for 15years!! What an outstanding ski boots. This season will be my last with them. They were amazing 👏 well done tecnica.
I'm just starting to learn to ski, and am a level 1 skier, and am now looking around to invest in my first ski boots after I've had a few lessons, so which Salomon boots do you recommend, I'm just about 5' 6" and am 166 pounds?
Thank you so much for this video!
Thx just picked some up.
Sexy Hood :)
Thank you for the review Thom! Just ordered these couple of days ago...
can I test this some how on the slope if enough pressure applied. the din calculator says to set mine to 8 aggressive and 6.5 moderate. Can I go in between 7? Moderate would release faster?

I found this for sale somewhere, but am curious. What makes it a ski for females versus a ski for males? Is there a difference or is it just marketing?
Mina är fortfarande supersköna 2024
Nope I love that we old timers actually know how to ski on straight skis and we get EXERCISE from knowing how to UNWEIGHT and turn via our perfected technique What they do today shuffling I don’t characterize as “skiing” If you want EXERCISE and don’t want to be typically FAT I suggest people learn how to ski straight skis which require skill mastery but hey we all did it and I still do it no problem and I don’t need any “technician” at a shop to set my DIN or release as I do it all myself on my 10 pairs of various length straight skis as I was a technician at a ski resort back in the 1970’s and 1980’s I have 2 pairs of shaped modern skis and I do NOT like them As I’m not going on the mountain to be LAZY shifting back and forth I prefer my straight skis I’m expert on them and I put young people to shame on the mountain as I fly past them doing jumps , moguls , deep powder you name it 😊
I just got these skis from a friend. They're super fun!
The Atomic Mens Hawx Prime XTD 80 HT GW with an 80 flex is designed for beginner skiers, not 'intermediate to advanced'.
Spyder was a ground breaking idea years ago. It's inspired cheaper knockoffs.
Hello! Tell me please, how thick is the titanal plate on this skis? Thanks!
Schon paar Jagertee gehabt was 😂🥃
The host just has no chemistry with anyone lol otherwise it's very informative.
Noice
Where can I get a scraper? Or what could I use to scrape off the skis instead?
The fit is slim or relaxed? The person is wearing an m or l size?
Relaxed fit. He’s def wearing a medium but should get a large.
I'm at the half way cafe at Treetops resort in Gaylord MI. I've been skiing all day on some of these skis I bought on a prime day deal based on this video review. It's rainy and crusty here but the skis have been doing awesome. Thanks!
Never trust a review when you can’t see the actual reviewer ski… just sayin’.
But is it gripwalk?
It's not
Lol in otherwords, it kinda sucked!!😂
Another reviewer called these beginner to intermediate skis. Would you recommend the 7.2 for me as a guy that doesn’t snow plow or fall down but smears and skids turns more than carves? Also, at 6’ 205lbs would the 174 be a good length? I ski in the poconos (PA) so pretty icy usually. Thanks!
I’m basically the “creepin on intermediate level” guy. I don’t snowplow or fall down on greens but skid and scrape instead of carve. Would you recommend this thunderbird 7.7 or the thunderbird 7.2? Also, 6’ and 205lbs would the 174cm be good? Oh and I ski a lot of icy crud because I’m in the poconos
im glad im not a little bitch #straightskisforever
Such a good review in 30 seconds! Amazing, I've just picked this up for ¥13,000 yen in Japan. Very happy with it
