Hi, We're Ray and Jo Fidow and we are proud to live in the beautiful city of Dunedin (Otepoti) in the South Island (Te Waipounamu) of Aotearoa/New Zealand so you'll see a lot of Dunedin.
We like to travel, not only in our beautiful country but also the world, particularly around the Pacific and it's edges where we love meeting people wherever they work, play or live. We live by the adage that, 'A stranger is only a person we haven't met yet.' Although we've travelled many times, we are only just beginning to record our trips, so we could take awhile to sort it all out!! So just come with us and see what we get up to... let's go...

Love your journeys...had a bit of a laugh when I spotted a 'H' landing pad on the table as I am Flight Sim nut and thought that the table would be a bit small to land my chopper on it... Your footage and photography is amazing and gives us all a taste of Aotearoa in its finest...that is every day of the week.
Hope you grabbed a Jimmy's mutton pie while you were in Roxbrough, had a few weeks there as a kid in the late 50s at the health camp.

Once again a fabulous journey. Just thinking back our trip in the Campervan, ditching the waste water and topping up the drinking and washing water. Remember to put the caps on tight...before travelling putting the plugs in the shower and sink to stop anything coming back up into the van...learning to shower conservatively...wash down turn off soap up and then wash off. New Zealand is a beautiful country and has so many beautiful stops and sites....love the KIWI Mince on toast. Thank you again for sharing your travels...will be looking out of then next Lady Bug clip.

I stumbled across this video by chance :) It reminded me of when we picked up our motorhome for the first time two years ago. We've since travelled over 30,000 kms to the top of the North an bottom of the South and most places in between. The freedom is wonderful... enjoy your new adventures.

Love your journeys. My wife and I did this back in 2022 visiting our daughter in Rotorua. We hired a campervan and I would love to plug their name but won't here. But they are in Auckland meet us at the airport the day after we arrived, as we flew in from Norfolk island spent the night at the hotel located at the airport so that we could get our feet on the ground. We travelled from Auckland to Rotorua and spent most of our time at our Daughters partners house and was given an adapter so we could plug into the house supply. Spent a couple of nights at Orewa before taking our van back to the hire company....sad day saying goodbye to the van. I would highly recommend this to anyone who has never done this sort of trip. Love your clips and commentary, first meet your clips with the cruise you did my home on Norfolk Island. This clip has brought back memories and only wish to do it again, but spending more time touring than parked up at a home. The warmth of the caravan, the meals and driving all makes travelling and touring so special. Thank you for sharing your trip...and again if you are ever on Norfolk Island I would offer the Norfolk Island hand out to have you here for a cuppa or a dinner.
What a neat story! In 2021 we hired campervan for a 3 week trip around the nth island and gave us a taste for it. We are so enjoying ourselves and feel really lucky to be doing what we're doing. Would love to take up your offer when next in Norfolk Island. Yes, we will return.

Depending when you need it, urgent or otherwise? I think it gets cheaper everyday as the cruise progresses. Sometimes on embarkation day they may run a special? Happy cruising!!!

The roaming package works good on land but you need ships wifi at sea. 😀

Really enjoyed watching your vlogs, i think i was as excited as you guys. I've made notes from some of your comments for our upcoming trip in October and i do believe we will be staying at the Washington Hotel as well. What scares me most is navigating the trains especially from what i can see, its all in Japanese. Tell me your secret. Look forward to watching your next adventnture.
Thank you. Yes, the train system looks daunting but it is easy to navigate when it's broken down into the train line you want to use. There are also various signs in English plus the locals are great at helping you! We recommend getting Suica Card and loading it with a few yen. Search on KZread how to do it as there are many good videos about it. I will try and find the link to a guy who explains it better than us! Also how to use the rail system. The Washington Hotel is okay and clean and very handy in Shinjuku, but try and upgrade before you arrive to a larger room room than we had, as it's very, very tiny but I think most hotels in Tokyo are smallish. Despite all that Tokyo and Japan is a fabulous place to visit. The sights, sounds and above all, the people are fantastic.
