This anime sucks and butchered most of DR2 cast, but the Soundtrack Team was for damn sure at least trying to make good stuff. EDIT: There's plenty of people talking about it with analysis in detail with videos and explanations and plenty of platforms to talk about this preposterous animation, i'm just here to vibe with the good music and pretend the only thing from the anime that happened was the good (happy) ending. I'd much rather talk about the games i actually enjoy.

how exactly? the dr animes (besides the THH one) are the only things that actually give context and backstory to how everything happened and is also the only thing that tied it all up in a perfect little bow, i genuinely do not understand the hate for the dr3 anime’s because some of y’all be tweakin out on a whole nother level
@@exvoussz Yeah it explains stuff, so badly it might as well not exist since it: •Removes agency and power from Junko who is reduced to a lucky girl who gets HARD carried by plot, Mukuro and movie kid, which could be done by anyone and takes alway her menance as a master manipulator. •Mukuro has an amazing and very well written novel which improves her character to a nuanced and conflicted person who is not as apathetic as her sister, anime comes and makes her a incestuous masoquist too dumb to think on her own. •Mikan already suffers enough distasteful oversexualization for a character with parallels to rape victim in her free time events, making her actual victim of harassment by drugged Terumi "for jokes" then turned into a sex slave? Come on leave my girl alone for a bit. •Who is Mahiru, Hiyoko, Gundam, Akane, Nekomata and Ibuki? Non characters, if the anime gave them 10 lines of meaningful dialogue i would be shocked. •Real Chiaki is a complicated subject since she erases the value in AI Chiaki, it's really weird seeing this girl i don't know wearing the face of someone i know and hoggin so much screen time. •Don't even get me started in the anime original character, they manage to get treated even worse: •Chisa, a very interesting and compassionate character, gets brainwashed and her personality is overriden until her very unidignified death, essentially getting removed from the anime before S3 even began, she never got a chance to come back or develop as character and please don't give me the despair excuse because NO ONE but Munakata gives a Flying fuck if Chisa died, no one but this dude even mourns her. •Munakata had potential then he had to become the most hipocrite, annoying, OP motherfucker who could NOT get himself to stop pestering Naegi when the world ended because he was too dumb to notice his girlfriend was brainwashed and his friend was a traitor. •Sakakura had a shit ton of potential as well and then he helped the world end because he can't come out about his feelings for Munakata, risking getting the very man he loves killed and even if not, no world to live in. And when he was JUST getting development, he dies. •The last game participants had cool designs but way too rushed deaths. •Gekkougahara is a non character. •Izayoi is a non character. •Finally, Naegi the ultimate hope for some reason allows himself to get depressed because of a random Munakata ghoul dude and the anime simply forces him to stay quiet and take it like a champ despite being fully able to rebuke fucking Junko.

I remember reading his story in the manga which was the drawn and quarterly English translation on the volume known as Kitaro the vampire slayer. For some reason they changed his name to Eryt, but I still found the story creepy and entertaining with his plans to suck the prime minister's blood and all the chaos that ensues in his dusty looking house right next to a cliff where his story ends.

@rainbowlizard9261 as much as the drawn and quarterly translation captured the comedy and dread of the kitaro magna, they seemed to edit things up due to wanting to make it kid friendly which is what I remember from the summary at the back of the first volume, yet they had no problem with a man getting reduced to a pile of bones by odoro-odoro, a yokai monster's true form showing what is clearly his testicles, the tree story, and of course what happens to kitaro during the battle with elite. Aside from that the stories despite the supposed changes weren't really bad and I think if I never read them I would have never gotten a taste for the comedy horror genre, which was later developed fully by Courage the Cowardly Dog which also got me into slapstick cartoons. Oh, and the chapter with johnny in the book I read, was titled Eryt the vampire, always thought it was Elite Vampire Johnny, never thought it was another name for him. I wonder if in the future which English publisher would get the license, one who could be a bit more faithful and respectful to the original creator's work and maybe even include stories which have yet to get an official English translation as well.
