it looks like those files u created were mono is that the case and if so how do u get that? I have been tryna bounce it out from the software in mono but it keeps coming in stereo, I haven't tried from the live 2 in standalone yet but either way I wanna get the ones from the computer in mono and eliminate a couple steps when I bring it into the daw

Nice video's as always! I met you on MPC Gang. Too bad it got shut down. Anyway, you know how you tuned the samples, doesnt that put them in a different key though? For example, if you have a sample in G Minor, and everything else is in G Minor and you tune that sample up by 3 or 4 or 5, wouldn't it be out of key?

Ill be damned - so the Focusrite Solo huh... I actually got one as a gift from a coworker - i have it saved since i figured it would be decent too use with a mic. I do have a Volt 276 too though that i use when i sample and for midi.

Can you also just separate pads into individual tracks in FL Studio? A big reason for me wanting to attach the MPC to FL is because I want the workflow of sampling drums into the pads. I can see it getting complicated for mixing/mastering purposes if all the pads are through the MPC plugin sitting on one track in FL Studio.

Bro u the best hands down ! I have question. Can u do a tutorial on how to use the sampler with creating your own sounds using it and making your own beat tags using the sampler? Thats something that alot of ppl not making tutorials on, on KZread. Ive seen videos of ppl with salt shakers, keys shaking, ect ect but they wasnt using the mpc and there were no tutorials.

Have you read the conditions? You're basically selling your soul to the devil. Everything you upload and remix, they can use it and resell it, otherwise you can't use their services, and the worse, if you want to download what you did, you have to pay a subscription

Pretty much my flow as well. Throw on a drum break and scrub through the sample. Those 16 qlinks on the X are murder with it too. I'm starting to learn towards Serato though. Pitch shit, time stretch, chops laid across the keyboard, etc are just way too immediate. On the go though, this is the way. Nice vid!

Dropping Gems. Good shit. Also when using the bass from the original sample, make sure you cut the lows out of the original sample so its not so muddy sounding.

I just finished listening to Kanye's Bound 2 track - that had no drums, snares, nor hi hats, just chops and synths. If I wasn't listening closely, I wouldn't have noticed this. Do you know the secret to this phenomenon? Good video by the way

Also you could start with melody/instrumenst first then make drums, then scrap original melody/instruments … leaving you with just drums … and from there start with the drums and they should be pretty dope already!

What's going on? I'm using the Latest MPC Software and when I'm in controller mode when I'm making a Beat! I see a Red Line come across the bottom of the Grid! And it do it often when my beat is on and when the sounds match! Why is that? I'm surprised you never talked about it. But I'm not using a standalone I'm using a MPC Touch

This really you only applies to non musicians(drum sequencers). Drums are not the heart of every song not even hip-hop, although they might carry a good amount of energy. Drums can also pigeon hole a melody and a groove, considering most drums today are made of non-natural sounds and tones.

Sequenced noise music like this first so for trap I think it’s almost essential to get your cut, you can always layer and delete! Thanks for showing your workflow man
