When I first played Hitman 3 I had no idea about the Carpathian Mountains but around the Berlin level I thought to myself "You know it would be cool to see a level take place on a train but that's far to linier to happen in a Hitman game" and boy I was shocked when I opened the train car the first time especially since the game purposefully hides the fact your on a train. The level is simply and ultimately not exactly what I would have wanted from a train based level but at the end of the day its easily one of my favorite maps due mostly to how I perfectly called its existence

Honestly I love every single Hitman game! I love taking the time to master levels and find the optimal route. Like in Silent Assassin on the motorcade level getting the perfect shot with the sniper! Even though I played a demo of SA first, Contracts is where my heart is, it’s the first one that really got me into the series!

I think that this tier list is decent - but of course i have my doubt on some maps. I try to "rank" the maps by SO and creative options to kill the objectives. Let me start with Ambrose Island: it has 2 fortresses (the pirates place + the colonial ruins) and when it comes to diffculty to infiltrate the colonial ruin takes the cake - the pirates are easy to infiltrate suit only and the ruins can be easy if you only infiltrate from the cave - the two guards one having his back to you is my g2 point! Also the options how to take out the satellite is very nice - ever tried to toss an impact explosive down the shaft when you are already in the ruins where the prison is? Also the fact that you could play detective for Farah and revealing the murder of that chinese guy to get a nice proxy kill by the pirate lady on the merc leader is very nice - if you have a sniper rifle its cheesy easy to snipe the tower signal thus forcing the meeting and killing both with one shot using a leviathan - the satellite is the most annoying if doing so. Yes the story seems "pressed in" as we already faced the finale in carpatian mountains but i love this map nevertheless - also if you dont like using seeker1 its gold :) Paris: i like the way you can most of the time using the master key and how easy it is to get - even in your suit. Also this location much as Ambrose Island has a large part accessible SO - and you can kill both targets during the firework without a sweat is very unique as every1 is looking to the sky (not to mention that the glasses in the 3rd floor area are venezian mirrors (so nobody can see you performing illegal actions like pulling a gun and point it at a chandelier. So i agree its great! Hokkaido: is unique yes with the RFID chips for sliding door access - and the fact that you can disguise yourself as Jason Portman (from Heaven Island!) to get a civilian access to the operation area is great! Its one of the few maps where you can kill 2 targets SO in minutes - Yuuki is easily killed right from the start using your pistol and shooting the escape cart.. but YES and thats the downside reaching level 20 is pain - i used to not grind it by playing this mission over and over but trying to do some Arcade or Elusive Targets - but even without equipment it's easy to kill Yuuki in the Sauna and shoot Soders replacement heart :) as you did it - not even a silenced pistol is needed - the striker is my g2 for this loud approach and you can get this weapon right off the bat (or should i say getting OFF your BED?). But thats it - it's boring because of your limitations despite having a nice proxy kill by the chief surgeon - i like proxy kills! Mendoza: 2 targets yes very forgettable but my favorite map design when it comes to open areas and navigation in roofed area - it's easy SA and you have proxy kills on both targets (the proxy on Don Yates unfortunately needs a disguise i would love the option to leave the evidence on the desk with the inaccessible letter opener because Mrs Yates comes very often alone upstairs...) also when it comes to disguises the merc guard is great to get everywhere and facing almost 0 enforcers BUT the waiters disguise is also strong! Its also cool how many options you have to kill the female target during the guided tour - freeze to death, getting smashed, tossed in a grinder... great stuff :) Whittleton Creek: i love it - Suit Only so many options both targets can easy be accident killed and yes the clue hunt is tedious - i also go for the tape in the attic and the shovel and the foto in the basement of Janus house ... it's a long time not having done this but i guess that were my g2 clues - annoying part is that Janus's personal bodyguard gets only distracted by coins (which you can find very scarce in the map thus having 3 in your loadout seems obvious!) anyway who needs distractions when you make the old guy happy by having his smokes? I love the way that almost all imporant npcs have their own path to walk - the mailman is also attending the BBQ party and if he is a target in Freelancer for me i abuse this and poison his beer :) It's a great map also giving us multiple manholes to exit! Isle of Sgail: You dont like gloomy castles with secret society partys? Ok but i love it for this specific setting - so many ways to traverse the map and almost every castle tower can be climbed - also a master key in the top level of the appartment tower is great and so many unforgettable kill options for the twins! The cages you can drop, the antique chain you can steal and strangle her - and both targts are easy for SA SO Sniping if you have the right timing - almost as easy as on Ambrose Island! The Elite Guard outfit brings you everywhere and getting one is super easy without changing into any disguise. Sapienza: I like it from the setting being a fictional town in Italy - i love the way same as you do Silvio is behaving as narrotic wreckage he is! Also the fact that not every one knows: he distrusts Francesca that intense - he has created a sample of the virus ONLY FOR HER - you can get it by shooting the antique ship in the small room with the opened hatch to the attic where the katana is - great way to just toss it in her office and let ther suffocate to her demise! I also love to kill Silvio - very creative ways are given to the players by story line or challenges! letting him escape and rigged the plane with a bomb is my g2 as i have already shot the virus with a penetration bullet from a sniper rifle or using the isolated scientist looking over the virus - the laptop there can kill the virus too! Sapienza is great in The Author too and for the Icon it's also great! Your D-Tier is ok despite Isle of Sgali, Colorado is a pain doing SA SO but only because every1 has a gun and is an enforcer, Mumbai is a pain from the start only because the crows patrolling the streets are enforcers - its very cool that you can use 2 meetings to kill 2 targets in one strike and poison the Melstrom not even knowing how he looks like - knowing how he looks like by using the guy having a photo and talking to his brother about is is an easy way to reveal him and killing him by poisoned tea on the tea plaza is nice - harder one is dropping a sign on his head but all 3 targets are very doable without a seeker1 or so! Dubai: the fastest map in compare to Paris to kill both targets SA SO only by fibre wire but you need real skill and timing - and the right starting location as well because once the old man is in the sheiks appartment it's a fortress :) but i did it also easy by abusing his terror for noise - and an exploding golf ball comes yet again in handy ^^ Miami is an ace that's for sure: having a father kill his own daughter then you killing him - not setting one foot in the Kronstadt building same as having the robot kill Robert Knox is an all time favorite - and sniping the race lady under 60 seconds then her father is great too - so fast so easy!
