I want to share my experiences and what I learn while fishing in tournaments, especially on a local level.

So, you decked the boat first then overplayed it with aluminum?
So what is best for a V hull? Wouldn't the pink foam sit flat with the hull? Seems there would be a gap from the pink foam the closer it gets to center, since the v doesn't equate to flat flooring. What do you do to flatten it out? I hunt with some big boys, and worried about the subfloor not being able to handle the weight over time. Sounded like pour foam was the answer until waterlogging became an issue.
I've been around lakes majority of my life and I have no house to call my own because I didn't always have a job. I need to get started on building something like this anyways, thanks!

How do you determine where to place heavy items on the boat builds to get them to balance properly and not be too front or rear heavy I've seen batteries and livewells moved forward in some boats and rearward in others

what im planning to do is prep n seal the inside of the hull and the framing under the subfloor with anti rust prep then epoxy sealer then the pour foam under the sub floor n then reseal the floor once the panels are in
i know that this video was 3 years ago but judging from how long it takes you to drill them holes with that shitty drill bit lim guessing you are still working on this build. 1/4 of the video was drilling like 2 holes. jokes aside it looks good
Just starting a rebuild on my Alumacraft 14' V bottom and am glad I caught this video. I do have a question for any of you TBN'ers though. Here it is. I want to use the same foam board in the bottom of my boat only a different thickness. What type of adhesive can I use to seal this foam to the bottom? TIA.😊

Pour foam, rivets and stainless steel.....name three things that should NEVER be used on a aluminum boat. They have a welder but chose to half ass the job with rivets that will be broken or loose in less that 1 fishing season.

According to our past president.electric boats can kill you if they sink. I would think you guys wouldn't want to use them. Also you could get eaten by a shark?
Hi Nate I purchased the heavy duty center storage glove box from Tiny Boat Nation they will not help me with the problem I have with it the problem with it is that it leaks really bad I think it’s at the hinge but can’t tell for sure I have not changed it in anyway it’s a matter of fact it still looks new I like it but can’t use it for anything it’s useless to me if I knew it would leak I would not have purchased it at all for $329 I wish they would have helped me so I’m hoping you can I’m not asking for something for nothing I would just like to get it fixed. I am trying to replace the Jon boat bench seat foam and 1x4 boards. But i want to know what should I use for the foam. I can’t find anywhere where someone refilled the bench seats with foam. The only thing I can find is removing the foam and turning into storage. I know some don’t like them. But I found out that foam helps the boat to float in case of sinkage. I am new to boats. But I want to keep it at spec and be safe than sorry. The bench seats are not attached to the floor. They are mounted to sides/walls of the boat. Can someone help me out. What should I use instead of expanding foam or if so where I can find it.

Sorry for the probably ignorant comment / question. At the 24:20 mark, I don't get the point of the drain hole out the side of the boat. I get the pump, pumping in water to the livewell, but what is purpose of allowing it to "drain" from that side when you have the drain in the bottom of the livewell and also the overflow on the opposite side. Seems at least in my head kind of pointless. I guess I don't see the point of of that component. I haven't seen the full application of one of these systems so maybe I am missing some of the core functionality.
What kind of runtime and speed do you get from the 6.0 and that battery? Currently have a 14 ft v hull with the 3.0 and the e80. Looking to possibly upgrade boats and the motor to the 6.0. Looking at almost your same size/setup
I think I like the 'less is more' approach with the rod lockers. Are these working out OK without the rods being separated?
It's pretty cool seeing how your experience building out these little boats has expanded over the years. In a way it was a good thing you shelved this project for a while. A lot has changed and now it's getting a very spiffy redo.
What size tubing did you use for the gunnels? Looks awesome i wanna look at doing this to mine
