I've just ordered one, thank you so much for the review! Also, you can make that arrow type much safer by adding a 2.5" square cube of open celled foam to the tip, using contact cement to secure it, then wrapping fabric and fabric taping it down to the haft. The foam on those is a bit harsh at less than 5 ft.

Ebay-Amazon-Etsy BEWARE. There is so much false advertizing on those sites that it is caveat emptor. Medieval collectibles or Kult of Athena are resellers. They do not always carry realistic stuff but at least you are very much going to get what you are looking at on their sites.

While the maker's makes a excellent looking crossbow, they forget to add a arrow retention spring! That's why your bolts need a notched nock to hold onto the string.

$50?? That’s almost too cheap, especially for the quality xD. For some reason it never occurred to me that crossbows exist. I bought the gambeson, its decent but the straps are cheap leather and the sizing is a bit large (I'm thin/athletic build). It doesnt offer much insulation neither in colder weather (late season). Mytholon weapons are amazing, the solid grips are great.
