  It’s brilliant that you’ve thought of making the funnels from a thinner material. Considering how thin the real ones were compared to the hull plating, the width of a piece of paper is just how thin your funnels should be when scaled down 100 times. You can use water soluble glue to have them detach from the deck when sinking. But the chances of that happening still might exceed the time you have during the final plunge so, you do you.

  Yeah they wouldn’t have buoyancy anyway so it would be kinda pointless. They would just kinda stay on the deck in both cases

  As you have already read, the lake isn’t deep enough by far. I’ll just create the illusion of a break and vertical stern, that was the plan from the beginning anyway

  @@Mr.401_Official With a model this big and made of cardboard? She'll probably break in two. I tried to simulate it with a model like yours (much less detailed) by inclining it by hand (holding the bow with one hand ant using the other as a lever point roughly at the historical splitting point) and it almost split when reached the limit inclination (it didn't because I stopped before it actually split).

  @@user-mi8ef4qd2k No no, this thing is really tough it definitely won’t break. It’s built with structural integrity in mind and uses a complex system of beams and gurders for stability. I mean I could literally sit on it before I installed the boat deck details.

  I measured the lake’s depth a few weeks ago and found that the deepest spot is like 1,5 meters which is not enough by far. I’ll just use an external stern section set and sink it separately

  @@Mr.401_Official I would suggest to try to find a deeper lake... Even if the ship splits in half, it would not be enough space for the wreck

  @@user-mi8ef4qd2k that would be logistically impossible so I’ll just have to use some cinematic tricks. There’s definitely gonna be enough space for the wreck though.

  @@Mr.401_Official It could also do like Britannic (Titanic's younger sister). Hit the bottom before fully sank and roll over on a a side before dropping like a stone

  @@user-mi8ef4qd2k She’s definitely gonna do a Lusitania/Britannic and strike the bottom during the final plunge. She should be at an angle of approximately 50 degrees at that point and then she’s gonna settle down (probably without rolling over) I’ll make sure to create a Titanic type sinking for the final video though

  Yeah definitely, for the final video I still need to build around 15 in-and external sets plus a simple model of the Carpathia… that’s gonna take a long time but I’ll document everything so don’t worry

  The compass tower is perfect. It looks like you’re using PLA for vents and other props. Most of them will float off either during the sinking or after the superstructure deteriorates.

  @@rhyusbrand8311 yeah I know, I tried many different color combinations to achieve a realistic anti fouling but it always looked crappy.. so I just went with the cliche vibrant red. I could just call it a giant boot topping which goes all the way down and around the hull 😂
