This channel provides detailed and comprehensive information about lion prides and coalitions roaming the Sabi Sand Game Reserve in Southafrica.
All of my videos are meticulously crafted by me, using editing programs and PowerPoint to design my own maps. I write the scripts and provide the voiceovers.
While I incorporate wildlife footage sourced from various providers, the essence of my work lies in transforming this content into something unique and special.
By contextualizing it with a storyline, conducting thorough edits, and adding commentary, I aim to offer viewers a comprehensive understanding of events, which drive the lion pride dynamics in Sabi Sand.

Crying so hard for Chela but found my solace knowing that she's found her true, eternal peace at last. What a life and what a legacy she had lived and had left. Rest in heaven, my beloved Queen Chela, you deserve all the love and comfort that the heaven and earth have to offer. Your spirit lives on in many hearts including mine. I love you and respect you, and will always remember you ❤🙏
I got through some of it so I could understand the dynamics but skipped some & am feeling kind of nauseous from the whole situation. Hers is not the only tragedy that has been ongoing for thousands of yrs., & there have been a couple of heartbreaking deaths over the last couple of yrs., but when it's put into story situation like this it makes it real & it is more than heartbreaking. It would be nice if nature would have cut back on some of the violence of these animals. People always say "this is nature, it's life, you need to accept it." I know it will never be different or better but my nature is such that it never has & never will make sense to me. You are able to see the goodness in Chela's face; she had a look that evoked a combination of strength, kindness, & caring. Thank you for this.

I was heartbroken when I heard this news! 😢 She was an absolutely incredible lioness, look at what she achieved in caring for and protecting all those cubs, almost single handily! It was an amazing feat, she will be remembered and honoured for it! 💘 What a legacy to leave behind! RIP Beautiful Queen Chela! ❤️🌻

My heart broke for her on numerous occasions but her stoic resilience and instinctive attitude carried her through. She was a survivor, a true legend and will be in our hearts always and forever. Thanks for the video. When the Avoca male lions came she left with the young Birmingham daughters? Then the Birmingham daughters had cubs and the Chela again went with the sub adults when the Mohawk male lion left with his sons? Chela left with the sub adults twice? Then later the sub adults were also with Chela?
No, Chela mated with the Avoca like Amber did, since both had no cubs with the Birminghams. The Birmingham daughters were shy of 3y and stayed with their mothers and were pretty much accepted by the Avoca, only the two young males were not welcomed, thats why Nana broke away. In 2021 the Birmingham daughters were almost 5y old when they had their first set of cubs. Actually they then broke away in April/ May 2021 from the core pride because of the young cubs. Also, in mid 2021 the PCM arrived and went after the core pride with the subs. They killed one of Amber's daughters and that's when Amber and Ridge Nose took the initiative to mate with them. As a consequence they got pregnant and left. Chelas was always with the subadults it's just that first the Birmingham daughters left the pride, then Amber and Ridge Nose and then Purple Eye died.
Hi thank you. I get confused. With the Nulhuma pride it seems there were always lions and lionesses that would come and leave. I do not know if you have ever seen a video where there was confusion about the Nukhuma male lions with the Nukhuma pride but they were somewhere else. Then it was suspected it was the Talamatie pride with them too or the Talamatie male lions. I did not know the Birmingham daughters split. What a lovely lioness was Chela may she rest and wish the best to her son and all the Nukhumas.

These are the type of stories I have great difficulty dealing with, & while I want to watch her & about her life, I hesitate. I'll try & see how far I get, probably having to skip over some of it. But thank you for honoring her. She was beautiful.
I literally cried like I assume most others did. I also drank two glasses full of red wine in her honor. The reason: I met her in 2018 on my pre honeymoon with Amber Eyes. I was so captivated by her beauty. She was an incredible lioness, one who will never be forgotten. RIP darling girl. Watch over your son and grandbabies.

I went into the circumstances of her death in the last update in April. There is no real proof that the PCM did it, as I said there were other lions in the area as well.
She was such a warrior queen🫶💫🦁👑💛 Imagine how difficult it would be to keep 7 subadults alive, let alone fed, especially as a single mother. She was the true definition of a lioness🙌 RIP beautiful queen Chela💔👑🦁 Thank you for the wonderful tribute to Chela's life & legacy👏💗 youre an amazing story teller with the most amazing story telling voice to go with it☺️🫶

What a beautiful Queen and an amazing story with it. Such a hard life for the wild lions. She had a resilience about her and fought to keep the young ones alive, a fight she lost in the end herself but gave one last time to save her offspring, such dedication is and should be honored and respected. I would say you did a wonderful job in telling her story. With honor and respect. Thank you for this, for being her voice and telling others just how hard it is for them to raise the little ones. Only half of cubs make to their first birthday. She was a true warrior, and loved her pride. So sorry I couldn't chat while this was premiering. I was bawling the whole time. She was such an amazing warrior, mother, sister, Auntie, protector and Queen. Everyone who knew her will miss her so very much :( I just know that she's rolling around in fields of flowers and chasing buffalo with all of those who went before her. Hi I had a question. The Matimba male lions had cubs in the Nukhuma, Styxt and Torchwood pride like the Birmingham’s male lions. Is there still Matimba daughters in the Torchwood pride? I am curious about the lioness’s that are with the half brothers of the Plain camp male lions. I wanted to know about how many lionesses are daughters of the Birmingham’s.

I cried all the way thru it. It is truly hard on the females lions in the wild.
@@buffiesilver It's harder for males. But yes; all of these animals have a tough time in the wild. Their lives are just so unpredictable.
@@auntiez4917 yes but females when they are Denning their cubs is a vulnerable time for them. All on self to do it without the pride for 2 months. I know it hard for males as well with the statistics there is none of them that has it easy.
If kinky tail would be beside mr-t, mapogos would win the war…. I think one of the silati was killed by mr-t and kinky tail??? Am I right?
one of the five Selati was killed by the Majingilane in June 2011, later in 2014, Selati #3 died of the injuries the Majingilane inflicted on him
