Nice! We're glad it helped. We would say this in French but all I remember from French class is "ducks in orange sauce" and "bicycle shed". Thanks!
Each time I want to listen a song can’t connect to the stupid speaker,it doesn’t recognize that trash I’m agree w the most of the people is just a trash 🗑️ waste of money and time 😔
Don't have to bluetooth option
Same
Ok. How about the Sonos going through the entire setup process but then doesn’t show up at all in the app??
Was it doing this before the update in early May or afterward?
S1 is great. S2 sucks.
S2 was good...the new app (let's call it S3 although no one does) is absymal. People need to be fired over it.
I was about to go full bore on Sonos, and I realized my Home Theater has HEOS built in. I didn't realize what it was
I HAVE: 4X - Mirage FRX One 1X - Mirage Mc-3 Center 1X - Mirage FRx-S10 Powered Subwoofer I am still very happy with them. I am doing a AVR upgrade (wireless) can I further utilize my Mirage speakers and keep them relevant with wireless? Is this possible? Is it advisable? Will I loose allot / any sound quality..? ANY HELP / POINTERS / DIRECTION(S) / ADVISE... WOULD BE VERY MUCH APPRECIATED...
What do you mean exactly by wireless? Are you using streaming apps through the receiver wirelessly, are you hooking up wireless streamers, etc.?
When did Alex Jones become an audio reviewer?
He wears many hats.
HEOS NEEDS QOBUZ SUPPORT!
This worked. Thanks!

Did they come with the dust covers?
They do. They are more of a sleeping bag for when your speaker wants to go camping.

This is what Spectrum Cable said to do: "Your TV Box will automatically go into Nap Mode after four hours of inactivity if you do NOT have Power Saver ON. If Power Saver mode is ON, you will see an "Are You Still There?" message on your screen. If you do not respond to this message, your TV Box will go into Power Saver mode." Meaning? Having power saving OFF or ON don't matter. It's still gonna show you that message and if you don't respond, it will show the bouncing logo. I have mine exactly like the video above and it don't work.
Energy Saving ON = Box goes to sleep. Energy saving OFF = Box stays awake. The bouncing logo is a screen saver that should go away when you press any key. When you see the bouncing logo, the box is ON as nothing shows up when the box is powered off.
I have a google nest network ... sonos is not a fan of it
Just saw this come through...if you still have Google mesh, what is or isn't working?
@airetheaterdesigns it just plays hardball till you get it to work
@@davidmcnamara8759 Have you had the problems prior to about a month ago (before the last update)? If so, make sure you have all mesh and router units on the same SSID (don't have different network names) and put the Sonos units on a static IP (under IP reservations with Google) when your Sonos is up and networked. This fixes lots of problems with disconnects and possibly yours.
If you want a great sound with Yamaha AVR´s, you have to use the manual EQ. This tool is great and you can edit room modes very well. But you have to know what you're doing with the EQ. YPAO is not good. The measurement changes parameters in some frequencies that make no sense. It detects sometimes the right room modes, but intervenes far too weakly in the frequency response. If you want the best results, you have to do it manually.
We like the way you think. A point we like to get across as well is that what a machine thinks is the best sound (YPAO, Dirac, Audyssey) may not be the best sound for you so feel free to experiment. Many people are led to believe that these correction systems are the Holy Grail and discussions like yours can shed some light on the subject.
I just picked up this pair for $349 in white they look great. I was wondering did you have these at full range? Or did you cross them over a little higher also what watts per Channel were you using? Great review
You most likely will want to cross them over somewhere in the 70-100 Hz range depending on room and wall proximity (small vs large). Go with what sounds best to you. There are times that LARGE in speaker settings can be better but this probably isn't one of those times. We had 150 per channel in our demos (.08 at 20hz-20khz) but you can definitely use less. Enjoy them!
@@airetheaterdesigns thank you for your answer. Did you use the subwoofer with these as well during the demo?
@@vanderhoff66fu Not a KEF model but we did test with and without.

Waist of time
Waist is the center of one's body.
All these arguments works for all headphones. Why buy these particular ones?
Good question. Many of our clients aren't aware of some of these elements so we wanted to include them in this latest snippet. We will have a comprehensive review once we get more time with these. See our Part 1 for some observations that are specific. In a nutshell so far: Very premium build-quality. They are solid and their method for adjustment (cups slide up and down post) seems more robust and quality than you see with Sony and Sennheiser. We are comparing them right now to the Sony XM5s. Tight fit: The earcups "attach" very close to the side of the head, providing sort of a "locked in" feeling. If you like the feeling of being immersed in the listening content, this can be a good thing. If you are giant head guy (I am giant head guy), this might be too tight for you. Sonos claims that these fit 95% of heads. Head the size of an orange or a watermelon? Too bad. One touch soundbar sync: This feature with Sonos soundbars (currently just the Arc but future firmware will include the Beam and Ray) makes it easy for the tech-averse to "zap" music from their soundbar to the headphones. Many people aren't comfortable with going into Bluetooth settings, turning things on/off, pairing, etc. and this feature will be good for Sonos clients that aren't comfortable with these adjustments. Good noise-cancelling: These do a very good job in getting rid of external noise. So far we'd say the Sony and Sonos are comparable in this realm. More to come. Thanks for stopping by.
What about the set up with Android?
I'm actually on a training with Sonos right now. For the new app, full Android support will be coming in a future update. I know this is vague but this is what they are releasing as of this second. Q&A is in 5 minutes...I'll try to get more clarity.
They said "There is no ETA yet as we want to get everything else handled first". Boooooooooooo. We'll be making a video about the new app shortly as soon as we get finished with some of our current projects.
I have a play5 that I need to downgrade to S1 but the new Sonos app no longer has the downgrade option. Do you know of another way to get it downgraded?
Thanks for stopping by. From what I know, it isn't there yet but it will be coming shortly in a firmware update. We've seen them add a bunch of stuff (ex: sleep timer, volume ramp speed, etc.) in these updates and they did announce that this will be one of the fixes.
I have an old single unit and a new Beam w 2 surround speakers. Every time there is a power outage one or both are not in my App anymore. The Beam is easier to get back, but the older single is a PAI. Any tricks? I usually have to build the darn thing all over again.
I would call Sonos (early or late due to their app debacle and questions about their new headphones) and let them know this. BUT if you don't want to waste three hours, I think you have an older or wacky router and it isn't issuing IP addresses when it is supposed to. The static/reservations IP section in the video should help. P.S. Power-cycling the Sonos units once your network is back up may work also. If you are getting a prompt about S1 blah blah blah S2 compatibility when you say you have to rebuild the system, it may be easier just to upgrade the old unit. Sonos regularly has specials to do this.
I've been going back and forth between these 2 speakers - ML XT B100's and the R3 Metas for a few months now. I am a 65/35 HT vs. music listener. I recognize from all the reviews I've heard that the R3 Metas are going to be much closer to the initial reference recording particularly for music. Very low coloration. This is what you and others refer to as "flat". Audiophiles really seek out flat responses. I'm coming from 25+ year old DT BP 20 speakers that my wife wants out of the living room. So I'm looking for a bookshelf that will be more visually pleasing - I also have dual SVS SB-100 Pro subs, so I expect no issue on the low end for listening with either speaker. I assume the ML's will be a little more similar to my DTs here as they are "brighter" in the high frequencies. I have no way to audition either of these as not available anywhere nearby me, so I have to order and just do a comparison. I don't love the price of the XT center, however, the combo of the 3 speakers still less expensing than the KEFs. Thanks for your honest review.
Order them both through Crutchfield and see what you think. Send back the loser. Here's a link that will help you and us. www.pntrs.com/t/1-9448-301982-9448?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.crutchfield.com%2FI-rppjc1FYL%2Fp_839XTB1HGB%2FMartinLogan-Motion-XT-B100-Gloss-Black.html If you like dynamic sound (the XT B100s will be more forward/bright than your BP20s) and awesome imaging, 99% you'll like the ML. If you don't like live, bright sounds, get annoyed at concerts due to loudness or ever thought the BP20s had too much brightness or loudness (they actually don't have much of this so this lets me know the characteristic that you most likely would prefer), go with the KEFs. We sell them both but I like the ML for the .01 that's worth.
Thank u!

Yeah Agree with general comments on poor product design . Problem is we all have different WiFI TV and equipment setups and setup is flakey when something changes. Biggest help was the Reservation WiFi channel advice at 7 mins. But you have to tear down and reset everything and waste hours to do this, which is better than losing your investment on a eBay resale. Come on Sonos you will not survive unless you get this setup simple and robust.
Thanks for chiming in. FYI...setting reserved or static IPs only takes 1-2 minutes with most network products. This has aided many of our installs. The common thread that we see with most Sonos problems is poor network design and as everyone isn't a network expert, this is a hard one to fix globally. Our biggest tip is "When in doubt...call Sonos...it's free!"
Here is how to fix the Sonos products. If you are searching for a good bluetooth speaker system. Take my advice; Do Not, I Repeat, Do not purchase or go near any Sonos products. Purchase another bluetooth speaker. If you purchase any Sonos bluetooth products, then you have become a new born sucker. You are going to wish you never purchased this piece of crap. I pawned my Sonos Move and got some good bucks for it and now I am a proud owner of a brand new Bose bluetooth speaker without the hassle of downloading an app. Just pair it and your done.

Everytime I want to listen to my Sono I've got ro turn my phone off and restart it. What is the solution???
Instead of turning off your phone, try closing the app and reopening it. This can happen if you have the app open but haven't used it in some time. I would try that first.
Hello. This is a great video. Can I publish it on my channel with Ukrainian dubbing?
My two era 300’s are not connecting with my beam and sub but they stereo pair to each other. I’ve tried the hard reset but they’re just not connecting. Also when I go do get them to pair with the beam and sub no sound comes out of the era 300’s. It’s a bit of a headache
Call Sonos. It happens somewhat frequently where when you are attempting to pair speakers with a sub where those particular speakers can be out of range of a connection signal. In these cases, it isn’t always reliant on Wi-Fi… It’s reliant on the connection to the sub. Sonos may be able to see this with a diagnostic once you call them. It took us a long time to figure this out when this first came up for us with a Sonos amp and sub long ago. Calling Sonos gave us this insight.

Insane you cant do stero pair in Bluetooth
I bought two on Tuesday, everything was great when in WiFi but when you head to the beach you will find you can only play one speaker with bluetooth. How is it that a $99 JBL flip 6 can pair two speakers in stereo in bluetooth and not Sonos?? They could have been great, now they are Best Buy open box for someone else.
Maybe they need to hire JBL engineers? You can play Bluetooth audio from your phone to a stereo pair when connected to WiFi. Unfortunately as you've found out, you can't use a stereo pair when you aren't on WiFi.
@@airetheaterdesigns and not even just a plain pair without stereo. A shame.
Why using the move 1 in you’re video if you’re talking about the move 2? 😢
You've got a good eye! Our Move 2 was out on demo.

I agree. Check out the video we posted 5 seconds ago about the Sonos Move vs the Sonos Roam. The Move sounds way better than 2 Roams.
FYI I'm pretty sure you can pair these in stereo like I have with my era300s and my move 2s using the sonos app. If you havent used the app it's nice. Just add your streaming services and do a few settings. It even works with multiple stereo pairs if you have other sonos pairs.
@@ericwarneradmin No, it will only pair two speakers in WiFi. App then shows no speakers connected when you leave wifi. confirmed with Sonos no pairing on bluetooth only.
@@ericwarneradmin You sure can! We just put up another vid where we talk about this and we're finishing a full video about it shortly. However, the Move itself sounds better than 2 X Roams IMO.
To elaborate (we were out on vacation), you can pair the speakers only when you are connected via Wi-Fi. However, if you aren't connected to Wi-Fi, like jdawz mentioned they only work as single units in BT...no stereo pairing.
Thank you so much ! Love my tv but hate how it kept bugging me with all the notifications constantly

I'm having trouble with all my surround speakers not getting sound
You may want to check with your dealer/installer as they may be able to provide more insights BUT you most likely are in some form of surround mode where all of the speakers aren't providing sound constantly. Try putting the receiver in 5 channel stereo mode (it might be 7 or 9 channel depending on the receiver that you have). Do you have sound going through all of the speaker then? It could be that wires are yanked out, that the menus aren't set up correctly and other things but I would try the above first.
Thought it was interesting - not bad, just interesting - that when you talk about Marantz’s Audyssey room correction setup, the image you show is a Denon (I might be a #denonfanboy, but I’m 75 years old, so not much “boy” left!) receiver with THEIR Audyssey room correction setup on top (yes, I know it’s all the same company now). I’m not sure, but I thought Denon had Audyssey first, some years ago. As for #denonfanboy, I’ve always thought Denon was quite comparable in terms of performance, but at a better price point. How do you feel about that? Have you done a Marantz vs. Denon and/or a Yamaha vs. Denon review? Thanks for the comparo review - like I said, interesting! Bart
Thanks for stopping by. We will probably do a Denon vs etc. review in the near future here, depending on funds and free time. In comparing Denon vs some of the others, you kind of have to dive into the weeds to see some of the differences. Ex: Some forums have claimed "The RXA6A ($2500) tests the same as the Denon 3800 ($1699) so there is no reason to buy Yamaha". They neglect to mention that the Yamaha has a more robust power supply, bigger capacitors, a better damping factor and weighs 14 pounds more. Think these differences equate to sound quality? I do. It really costs all of these manufacturers the same to make this stuff and we don't make any more selling one brand vs another SOOOOO should one think that you get a special value with Denon vs Marantz, Yamaha, etc.? I think not. I would buy the receiver to meet your needs and budget and know that spending more does equal a better receiver. Do you need/want these better elements? That's up to you.
Are you using a eero app for a PC ? because my android eero app dont have outages or anything under activity except my current activity.
I'd have to check with my Android guy as I don't have one on me this second but you should be able to see it. Go to your network (if there is an option for "Manage in eero Insight" choose that first) and then push hamburger menu>Activity center>Outages. You will see it from there.
I hate Sonos with a burning hot passion. Terrible app. $4000 down the toilet.
What do you hate specifically? We're not Mr. Sonos so we won't be offended.
I’m getting there. Bunch of shit really. They were great and they screwed it up.
