It is July, 2024, Six years now this past week. It has been very difficult for Scott's brother and me. I wish it wasn't so but I know that Heaven's Door will open one day for those of us who miss Scott. May God Give all who watch and listen to this video a peace that surpasses all reasoning.

Bravo! 👏 The fact of the matter is, the Fiddlerman - with his innate musicality and virtuosity for the violin - can even make a $39 generic violin made in China sound like “The Fidderman Master Violin.” 😉🎻🎶

I know to change strings one at a time to keep tension on the instrument and avoid the sound post falling. But if the sound post is properly fit and snug, it should NOT fall even with no strings or tension. Correct?

Fantastic piece by maestro Boccherini!!! It is titled “Nocturnal Music of the Streets of Madrid” and it was a piece that was impossible to interpret or understand outside of Spain because it represented the particular nocturnal joy of the streets of Madrid! However, I believe that, on the contrary, he gave us the reflection of that joy for immortality!

the piece is not called Master and Commander, although it was featured in the Russel Crowe movie, Master and Commander Far Side of the World. No, it's a piece by Luigi Boccherini titled Night Music on the Streets of Madrid.

I like the fact that I can play viola with a five string violin or viola (I have both) and that I can pop easily into treble clef when playing in a symphony on viola. Many composers mix up alto and treble clefs in high parts and my brain switches to violin. All violists should play five string instruments. If you are a teacher you can play violin, viola, cello (octave up) and double bass (two octaves up) with the string section. If I show up to orchestra, I can play viola or violin with one instrument. Orchestra members have sometimes asked the conductor, how can I switch sections. Answer; I play a magical instrument.
