  Tongues is just another way of saying languages . Doesnt mean the jibber jabber they do that means nothing. Your are correct in your reference. Just understand when they do that in church, that absolutely is not what God is referencing

  It means both. Different languages and "jibber jabber" that is coming from the feeling of the holy spirit through you. I once used to believe it was just "jibberer jabber"until I was really deep into prayer one day 3 years ago and I was praying for demons to be cast out and all of a sudden I got what I thought was tongue-tied and started speaking jibberish and thought that I just lost my train of thought... But no I felt the holy spirit Even stronger in that moment, which is how I can discern very clearly now that speaking in "tongues" of god's language is real as well As tongues meaning different languages of our language.
