Hey everybody, and welcome to Welcome Grove Homestead! We are a homesteading family in East Tennessee. We started as an urban homestead out in California, and God enabled us to move out here and live our dream of having a full-blown homestead in the country! We are working with nearly 60 acres, growing hay to feed our diverse group of animals, from goats and sheep to pasture pigs and cows. We've got some smaller critters here too, from rabbits to a variety of poultry.
We want to share our journey, and our lessons, with you! We try to bring the honest truth about homesteading in our videos, sharing the joys and sorrows, successes and failures. We want to help people learn about the things we do. Amanda has a reputation for being a bit of a nerd, so she tries to explain some of the WHY and HOW we do what we do.
Homesteading isn't only on the big properties! You can grow food and be more self-sufficient exactly where you are! As we always say: You can GROW where you're planted!

I know exactly where you live. I lived on welcome grove rd for around 3 years almost across the road from your farm. I fixed my place up and resold it. You have a nice place. I lived there just in time to meet Randy’s dad. He was a really nice old man and a good old fashioned farmer. Now both Randy’s parents are gone and I actually moved back to Kentucky where I grew up. I love the small farming country life and I wish you best of luck as you make memories on your homestead.
We mis yours videos
You call it back sheald, please make a back sheald in order to not depend of another person holding it.

How did you do with the caos of the fethers jumping all over the place? Did you impruved it?
Such cuties, chicks! We'd love to work with you.
Hi, we would love to send you a bag of GrubTerra.
Love and hugs
Fun video. Are you still using the mineral buffet with your goats? If so, I would love to see an update video on the results.
My heart goes out to you ❤️🌹

Why dont you try lentils and other pulses for the goats instead of soybean ? Even alfalfa seeds are also legume
Thank you! Great information! 🌻🐛🌿💚
I always look forward to your videos! Keep them coming
Loving your videos
Great info video!
I have always struggled giving sub q fluids to my cats (yes I said cats... still not on my property so all I have are cats and chickens) but the process of tenting is the same and this was exactly what I needed to see how to "follow the body" and use the tent. Otherwise I was always afraid I'd go right through and out the other side. Thanks so very much!
So glad that this was helpful to you!!
Yep.... team work makes the dream work! Awesome job! There is ALWAYS more to do on a homestead! Hang in there one job/chore at a time! Blessings on your family and your growing homestead! 🌻🐛Carolyn in Ohio 🌿💚👍
Great education video thanks
Great job
My go to...always :)
Good bread learning. I'll soon learn to make
Very sorry for your losses and both doelings - so sad. Certainly you take wonderful care of your goats, so no shame there for losing them and lesson learned on the tiny one. But the rest of the babies are so cute and look strong and healthy. The moms did great.
Beautiful babies! Homesteading... yep... it is still worth it... 🌻🐛🌿💚💕
😭💕
Hey, it is always tough to know when to intervene with mother nature. So often we think we can do better and actually make things worse. You just can't always know. Congrats on handling 7 births! Wow! That is busy! Sad you lost the doelings. But such beautiful babies! Thanks as always for sharing!
And then there were 7. What away to grow a herd. We are so sorry and don't be hard on yourself.
Wow, quad and triplets kids on a first freshening? That's nuts! Beautiful babies. So sorry you lost the two little ones. I can relate to the all nighters Amanda. Late night or all night watch as our Shetland ewes always seemed to decide to lamb in the middle of the night. My wife usually took on the watch chores but sometimes it was both of us if I didn't have to go to work in the morning.
Sad for your loss! Blessings!❤
4 babies! If that isn’t the sweetest! Good job mama!❤
Congratulations on all the new babies, sorry for the losses.
WHOA! Way to go. Thank you for sharing!
Could the testicles not still descend?
Not usually. And even just looking at his scrotum it will never have space to fit them
Don’t beat yourself up, you were exhausted. Always remember God knows what is going to happen before it happens. Give yourself some grace, God does.
Farming, ranching....hard work, hard choices, hard losses. Every day is a learning experience. So sorry for your loss, they are never easy....not one of them. Today is a better day...forward, one step at a time. Hugs, big ones.
new life ❤❤❤❤
I'm going to try this recipe, it looks great.
what size loaf tins/pans please ??
Audrey is a wonderful helper. Great video. Have been missing y'all. Hope y'all made it through the storms and no damage. God bless.
12 bunnies moved onto grass and all but 2 died of bloat! mama had been eating greens for weeks.
I had a property with older fencing and we got a Brown Swiss dairy cow. That rotter would lean up against the wire of the fence until she SNAPPED OFF the wooden posts.. Then she'd be off all over the countryside!! We ate her. I have had a sudden and intimidating explosion of mites on my chickens in just the last few days. It's terrible!! I sprayed the entire coop down with neem oil, today after dusting the nests and shelves with DE yesterday..that did nothing but make the mites mad at me. I swear I had 100 crawling on me when I collected the eggs. I wiped pure neem on my forearms!
When i saw the title of the video + your new cute haircut, i was like "oh, no, how did she catch it on fire?!" I'm there were no actual incendiary accidents. I winced seeing Miss Kitty climb up on the stand with that massive udder. Poor thing. I hope it calms down soon and that she doesn't get sick. It's always great to see an update from your channel.
Lol no incendiary events. Just my brain smoking with all the little problems adding up. Kitty's udder is still very large each morning, but a little less painful, I think. She is doing great on production this year!
Hang in there Kiddos! You've got this! Great family team work as usual! Blessings on your family and your homestead!🌻🐛Carolyn in Ohio 🌿
