My youtube channel is a collection of RC and FPV related videos but also family/fun stuff, camera/tech bits and anything else that interests me.

I've flown RC heli's and planes for over 30 years on and off, quadcopters since 2012 and FPV since 2013, and have been making videos since S-VHS/8mm days.

I make youtube videos for fun and aim to make short useful videos where I feel I can do something a bit different, so I try to avoid common reviews unless I can do something different.

Everything I review is bought with my own money as a normal customer (I am not a fan of paid reviews or reviewers), so I can give my open and honest opinion.

I pretty much delete any abusive/trolling comments, but try to respond to serious questions, but please read video descriptions first as I try to put details in there where possible, also please don't ask me for links as I don't recommend any particular vendor, and links are outdated within a day or two, so just search for best price in your country.

    Are there height restrictions on this?

  • @jamesb72
    @jamesb7212 күн бұрын

    No height restrictions but armbands are NOT allowed so rapids are only for confident swimmers. The pool at the end is deep so need to be able to swim to the side to grab rope to pull round to steps.

    Thanks for your quick reply. Are there height restrictions on the indoor slides? Sorry for all the questions it’s just my son has dwarfism and although he’s 13 he’s the height of a six year old. He’s a good swimmer but my concern is he wont be able to do what his younger sisters can do and that makes it awkward!

    @@paulnormansellartist I don't work for Centerparcs, but at Longleat there are no restrictions on the indoor tube slides or the ramp slides. The only height restrictions from memory were the larger Typhoon and Cyclone rides in tubes - just googled centerparcs height and there is a list of rides blog.centerparcs.co.uk/posts/fun-for-all-at-the-subtropical-swimming-paradise.html

    Cool 😎 How are you finding the range and signal penetration? Done the FCC hack.? Mine loses video signal if I'm behind a large tree or if I've dropped too far over the horizon into a valley or gorge. 🤔

  • @jamesb72
    @jamesb7224 күн бұрын

    We're finding range amazing even behind trees or bushes but its been dry here (a wet tree is much harder for rf to get through iirc). Certainly amazingly better than the old analogue fpv gear I used a few years ago which would only cover a few hundred ft and would go snowy behind any obstacles). But we're staying vlos mostly and have distance limit set 1600ft and not flown behind terrain only tree's/bushes.

    I just installed a standard servo connector (futana).spliced into the wiring than use a field charger to charge the battery and than install the battery in the transmitter and your done.Make sure to set your field charger at 0.5 amps and 2 cell.It takes about 6 hours with a new battery.I just replaced my battery this way in my DX8.

    Good tutorial. Just bought one and waiting for it to arrive. I have also bought a 90 degree quick release camera bracket which I can use to turn my TurnsPro 90 degrees to do tilt timelapses. (You need a 90 degree angle gopro mount and a gopro to tripod mount). Apparently 250g is the most weight you can put on the TurnsPro when doing tilt timelapse.
