A wonderful and insightful interview. Thank you both for sharing.
A delightful podcast, with a wonderful director.
Great interview - thanks 😊
@@Lightsmith_UK thank you so much for watching. I’m glad you liked it :)
Own a Godox TT685, AD200 PRO, AD400 PRO, AD600 PRO and MS300V .
That’s very impressive. How are you liking them?
An informative, vulnerable and authentic discussion between artists. Something I hear over again is 'put out the kind of work you want to get paid to shoot'. I think there is a phenomenon where the developing artist, being unsure of what they actually enjoy are simply happy to get paid, and end up producing work that is somewhat accidental, and heaven fobid they beome successful at it, because they may well have delayed their artistic development as a unique voice with a unique process. Then again, not all people, even artists, want to keep developing. I have met many who are happy in their rut.
Delightful conversation! Ivan…your studio is fantastic!!! #ivanweiss #londonphotographer #londonheadshots #camerashake #camerashakepodcast #stukelistens
This was so much fun to make :)
Really enjoyed this and super insightful! Look forward to seeing more!
Glad you enjoyed it! There’s definitely more to come :)
Did u ever use both lichts combined in one shoot ?
Actually I have, I used the Godox as a key light and a couple of Interfits as slaves.
No Olympus/om systems?
They were there but I didn’t get a chance to speak to them unfortunately. I’m sure there’ll be an opportunity to feature Olympus/OM Systems at some point in the podcast :)
Terrible video.
I think you misspoke at 17:53...the camera does have a mechanical shutter.
I did indeed. Thanks for pointing that out. It does have a mechanical shutter
why is he mogging you
This was a most interessant talk - compliments to both of You!
Thank you Jürgen. Glad you enjoyed it! Where are you based? Always interesting to know where people listen/watch from :)
I am based in Germany, retired, writing German books on PS, LrC, fine Art printing and digital photography.
Oh excellent. I’m in Germany at the moment until Sunday
I tuned in to listen to what Jean Fruth had to say, instead i got the host talking over her over and over again. i tried to watch this video on three separate occasions but couldn't finish
Hi guys, thank you for putting this show together. It's a fascinating insight into what we often take for granted. I'm a hybrid viewer/listener so appreciate both the video and audio editions. I fully appreciate the work that goes into the whole production process. Dave's podcast history is new to me so I've got some catching up to do.
Hi Norman, thank you so much for watching/listening. It is vey much appreciated :)
❤❤❤
I love tommy. I have 2 kids too. I understand his situation. Especially doing content and in marketing side. But at the same time you feel guilt because you think “I want to give more time with my kids” but yeah. It was hard
It's always hard to balance family life with things like KZread (or even running a podcast). It definitely takes a lot of fine tuning :)
Everyone deserves to be photographed. I do youth sports so it's important to include all the players, not just the starters. Opportunities are everywhere. Get out and take photos every day if you can
You’re absolutely right! And thank you for listening/watching :)
Great to talk as always
Please slow down
Please speed up
I guess that balances things out :)
Great video, mate. You captured pretty much everything the show had to offer. Makes me want next year's show to come around even quicker now though! 🤣
Thanks dude. As always absolute pleasure hanging out at the show. And yes, I'm super looking forward to next year's show!
Absolute pleasure. So glad I bumped into you :)
A great review of The Photography Show. Appreciate the interview.
Really great conversation! I enjoyed listening as it was very inspiring. As he is my President, I can say that Austin is an excellent leader!
I’ll definitely drop by should I be in the area :)
I like the sound of "Snappy Snaps" 😁
It’s a real thing 🤣🤣🤣
do not make a quantum tunnelling device.
Now that you mention it…😂
This conversation is like opening up a verbal time capsule of photography! Love it!! Austin, 26 years with Bedfords-that is impressive! Really enjoyed the conversation! Kersten...pretty sure you were looking for the word, "VR or Virtual Reality"...the thing with the goggles. I'm sure your audience knew what you meant!. #bedfordcamera #bedfordcameraandvideo #bedfordtalks #camerashake #camerashakepodcast #kerstenluts #stukelistens #pam4bedfords #photoconokc #photoexpolr
Hahaha thanks for listening! I really enjoyed this conversation. It was like walking down memory lane :)
Fantastic!
Many thanks!
There is so much here in your conversation with Andy Horton. The Influencer bartering bit about exposure, "The minute I can pay my rent with exposure, I'm game!". While you both talked about there are times when you are generous with your photography skills and talent. That exposure bit is spot-on and hilarious! Andy's journey is so interesting and the barrel racing with almost instant photo delivery is quite the process! Kersten! I so appreciate how you take time with your guest speakers, we really get to meet such interesting photographers on your podcast! #camerashake #camerashake podcast #andyhorton #andyhortonphotography #oklahomaseniorphotographer #barrelracerphotography #kerstenluts #stukelistens
Fascinating conversation! Never knew the why behind the kilt until now! Portraits, boudoir, headshots, and pet photography/training…Ben Marcum can capture the wildest man, woman, or beast and create breathtaking images! So fun hearing all about it in this episode! Thank you Ben and Kersten! #benmarcumphoto #benmarcum #camerashake #camerashakepodcast #boudior #boudiorbybenmarcum #stukelistens
You are very welcome. Thank you for listening :)
Great episode Kersten! Some fantastic insights on headshot photography from Pam and one of the most beautiful smiles I've ever seen!! 👍
Thank you kindly!
Thank you Kersten! I so enjoyed our time together and hope this inspires your listeners! #camerashakepodcast #stukenborgphoto #headshots #stukeslistens
The name of his book is misspelled it is Grit not Grid. For all of you looking to purchase his book. Thank you for having him on your channel. 🎉
Thank you for noticing. :)
Real nice conversation…now say “Tilt Shift Lens” 10x fast! 😂
In photography I will monitor AI the way I monitor equipment .......... be a smart follower. More information to guide decisions.
As a musician, I've been telling people that iso in input gain for years. Great video!
Ha! Absolutely. That’s why everybody should play the guitar!
Love Russell's point about spreading the love by giving genuine compliments to other photographers/creatives!
First and foremost -- CONGRATS on 1000 Subs, man -- Well done!!! I remember when you added YT so I know this is a monumental achievement -- albeit not surprising at all. Absolutely stoked for where this channel is going! Now to my comment -- is it me, or is Mr. Brown extremely insecure? Did he actually say that when someone disagrees or dislikes an IG feed he unfollows or blocks them? Seriously? Again - it's probably just me, but I felt him to be a bit vain? Does he really expect EVERYONE to like all of his posts -- or otherwise he "has a bad day or a bad week"? C'mon now - how ridiculous is that? I'm a huge Adobe fan -- and Adobe user. And I think the core of this show's question is extremely relevant -- as it pertains to AI and how it's used; when it's declared (or not declared) as being used in a photo etc, but I was distracted by how insecure Russell seems to be. At one point, he told you that if he takes the time to comment on your photo, it's because it moved him in someway -- which is awesome. So why can't the same be true for anyone taking their time to comment on his photos? So basically - if someone says something like "I think the sky in that background is a bit blown out" he blocks them???? Newsflash, Mr. Brown -- IG isn't for photographers and hasn't been for some time. If you're not into reels the algorithm won't favor you -- we all know that. So yes, IG is still a wonderful platform, but I don't post there much anymore. I use it to stay in touch w/family and friends and such, but if we think IG is "THE PLACE" for photographers to post for other photographers, we're sadly mistaken. Speaking of which -- if you haven't done so already, perhaps a pod on "Where's the best place for photographers to post and see other photography" could be a future topic of yours. I get it - Russell is an Adobe legend. Ok, cool. And yes -- he's been there 39 years, as he reminds us -- which is all good, but times change. Platforms change. Tech changes. We have to evolve with these changes. I'm sure if Russell reads this he'll attempt to block me from following him (newsflash - I don't). I'll leave you with this -- how are we supposed to get better if all we do is seek adulation in our work? What's wrong with seeking opinions of others -- knowing they may not agree with you? Isn't that what makes photography great? How we can all see the same thing differently? The notion that everyone must adore all your work is not realisitc. Again -- great show -- I usually just listen while driving, but needed to comment today. Congrats on the show, and the growth of the show -- you're crushing it, my friend!
Generative fill will do to photography, what the sampling did to black american music, it will ruin it .
I get your point, but do not agree. Gen Fill, like any tech or tool, depends a great deal on how it is being used, and by who. A skilled artist will use it like a scalpel, not a sledgehammer...
Russell Brown is such an inspiration!
I love Roel! I've worked with his photos in my work with Russell Brown!
Yeah! So glad to see Russell on CameraShake!
Thanks for the vid!
You’re very welcome :)
All the best in 2024! 🎉
Thank you! Have a great 2024 too!
@@CameraShake thanks ✌️

It was an absolute pleasure to have you on the show Lisa!
What a great year!
47:45 LISA ROCKS!
It was an awesome year! And 2024 is going to be even better :)
Karl is an absolute legend, he takes art and physics and mixers them together to create mind-blowing images. Also, his style of educating is second to none. And he still has time for advanced wreck diving, I'm even more impressed now!!! 😂👍
Why isn't this getting more views? Karl has the most valuable, technically accurate and well produced commercial photography (and other categories) training available. This man is a genius with lighting.
great! Karl is amazing.
