Glad to find this video. For adult learners like me, this kind of practice philosophy is treasure. It leads to the correct technical movements and rhytm of the table tennis basics. Thank you so much

I want to ask, can we use the backhand serve instead of the reverse pendulum? The spin should be the same. My reverse pendulum top side spin serve is not as fast...

This is pure gold as i always say. Understanding the deeper meaning of relaxing only came to me recently because it is so counter intuitive. Loosening up your arms allows you to feel the ball at impact so much more it feels like a cheat code.

Is there more to this video? He says at 3:24 "Later, I'll explain in detail the sensations of impact and friction and how to adjust the feeling of driving the ball." I don't see that in this video, is there another video with that explanation?

Thanks. I tried this yesterday in training but I just can't reach the ball if I backswing first turning my waist and then make one jump towards the ball while forward swinging..it works only if the ball is NOT far and within my reach. What if the ball ist a bit far away? For example backhand side to forehand side.. How can you make side steps/jumps to the right after the backswing? I can only reach the ball if I make side jumps WHILE am backswingung (simultaneously) and then swing forward to the ball after I finished the backswing..Doing a small jump forward while hitting ist also not an issue.. But how to get balls that are a bit fat away in the forehead side with this one jump like Fan Bo does ?? Can some help with this? Thanks a lot

Excellent Tutorial. I really like the attention to detail especially the use of waist . Most coaches teach BHF preoccupied with wrist and elbow, rather than holistic approach . Footwork is also emphasised.😊
