Hi, I'm Steph! I turned whimsy and a love of baby names into a job. That's right, I'm a professional name consultant and people pay me to help them choose a name. Pretty neat, right?
I also love talking about birth empowerment, self-publishing, parenting, being a creative, and women's social justice issues. I live in Minnesota with my hubby, three kiddos, and dog.
I wrote a book called Names Don't Have a Gender in 2022 and I'm working on my second one.
I can definitely help you name baby, check out my links below! 🥰

Is Carmine a good one or so that a male name?
Please don't name your child Karma, people. They will be made fun of for it, you're setting them up to be the butt of some truly painful jokes.

They finally got their baby boy! Betcha money, I'm not a betting woman, but.... I'd give this one a nice new crisp $100 bill, on a boy. 😂😂😂😂❤

That is true, lastnames, although many times originating with male individuals, other times just meant you belong to a family. However, in our times all lastnames signify your family, it's not just your father
Both of my kids were named right before we left the hospital! The nurses all wanted to write the name on the white board but they never had the chance! 😂
My ears perked up when my own name (Dana) was said 😂
Brendan is the original name. Brandon is a result of someone who got the spelling wrong
Kevin is the perfect french name if you had the same french textbooks as many of us growing up. There was an example which was "Je m'appelle Kevin" 😂
Kevin became the most common baby name in France when they relaxed the laws about naming babies 😂😂😂😂
Actually, Scar's birth name was Taka... which means "garbage."
Dana Dana key Christian artist Kelsey Kelsey Grammer actor and Leslie Leslie Nielsen actor
These are all the ways people misspelled or mispronounced my name most of my life. Lol. I grew to love my name in my twenties when I discovered the meaning. I opted to give my own children unique names and almost went with Kerris for one.
My mother gave me a double name, with no space, but an extra capital letter. Nobody ever spells it right, much less pronounces it right. At around age 30, I completely gave up and just started going by Rae. Because of all this, my 5 kids all have VERY traditional names and spellings. My eldest daughter, Mary, often got asked by school teachers how she spelled or pronounced her name. If they read it on paper, they expected some weird pronunciation, if they heard her say her name, they expected some weird spelling (like Merry) I just wanted her to have a name that can't be messed up. Now I'm left wondering if this is a universal experience with most women and girls
My babies, Lois and siol
I love Corinne
Or what about the name Caring, it's so close but really unique & different. Stick the name "Caring Anastasia" onto one of those baby blankets. 😂😂😂
Or, what about Caring, it's close but different. ❤
My niece's name is Zoei...yes, that's Zoey with an i... I can't tell you how many times she's been called "Zo-i" and her little brother is Zac...not Zachary...just Zac..

I really love the name Camryn, its so much prettier and more femme than Cameron. I would feel bad though, since it would be misspelled all the time.

If my daughter had been a boy, she was going to have my maiden name as her first name.
Well, would've been his first name

In germany its common to have surnames like Thomas, Martin or Jürgen.
I personally see Emerson as quite masculine. Very cute name though!
Michelle is the feminine spelling, to be fair. Michel is the "boy name"
A lot of names from my country are being given to girls because they "sound feminine" to people who dont speak it and i like the idea of not gendering names but the reason annoys me.
