  There's something captivating in the contrast between the carefree, whimsical vibes of the track and the straightforwardly creepy and alien visuals. I mean, there's also a bit of that gross goopy alienness in the sound too but it's more cartoony, in a sense. Something slightly disgusting but ultimately friendly and endearing. The visuals, on the other hand, reflect none of that cartoonishness and go in the exact opposite direction of cinematic photo-realism, taking a confident nosedive down into the uncanny valley with no intention of ever coming back up. Did any of what I just typed make sense? It may read as harsh but I think you made it that way on purpose and I wanted to point this aesthetic quality of the video out because I found it very compelling!

  lol yeah that makes sense. Honestly, to me I thought it went well together, but I guess I have a distorted perception. Originally he did want something more cartoony. When I first showed him what I was working on I think he said something like, “uhhh that isn’t what I was thinking at all”. I started with the concept of wanting to use AI for a full length video, and I ended up working with that idea as the concept for the beginning of the world.

  Are you just using the MJ output as an initial image? Curious how you’re keeping the MJ cohesion across so many frames. I always lose that cohesion after a handful of frames. Admitedly I haven’t messed with any of this is several months so everything is probably different now.

  Yes I am generating the initial image in Midjourney, but then I take that image into ComfyUI to generate the video. For these videos I was using LCM models.

  I am honestly about to pick up a new career. I will keep VJing, but it's pretty tough to make a career out of it. Many people undercut, and it's very difficult to get a reasonable wage for the labor.

  Glad you got something out of it. I will use an Edge Detect with a low opacity and then map the arcade button to the Block button in piano mode. I also like a little bit of blow, and others... Ill have to check. I change them up pretty often

  Nice bro thank you for sharing this !! Yaeltex controller are amazing but the price too ahah, apc40 mk2 or Launchcontrol xl + Launchpad are a good alternative too I have a midi fighter twister such a beast for vjing But yeah having just one controller with all you need is a must

  Where does one get VJ sets? Ive been using FL 's Zgame for a while and like do sets with automation clips... But I've seen some impressive stuff on Resolume I just can't get my mp4s to work.

  mp4s won't work well with Resolume. You should always convert your clips to DXV3
