So cool that you get to spend time with your dad. I lost mine years ago and wish I had more times like these with him! INCREDIBLE rig by the way.
Hi, i just bought me 05 LC, I'm trying to figure out what need Can you please tell me What wheels, tires, lift and shocks do you have?
I would recommend getting some maintenance work done before any upgrades. Repack the wheel bearings, check the heater tees, make sure the timing belt is up to date and the brake booster is in good shape. Once it’s baselined, you’ll have to experiment to find out what the right setup is for your use case and where you plan to go
Yes the vehicle will do it all, but should you? Youre obviously not wanting to keep the LX for long!? Thats rough!!
If you used it properly the. You won’t have that problem
I shall give this a try, being careful not to bend the arm itself. If it works, it will save me a bunch of time, obviously. Either way, thanks for the tip.
OMG thank you. I already knew about the mirrors BUT the damn seat I couldn’t work it out. I’m someone who likes to watch and learn not read and learn. Thank you thank you and thank you again. Have a good one. 😊
Nice vud, can you explain the components of the 2WD mod?
Love ya Patch
Enjoy it if you can get a site Everyone keeps posting all the small quiet places, they are covered up now. Thanks tictok and youtube
Hey Patch. So you replaced the high beam with HID correct? Do they make HID for the regular headlights it has a funny looking bulb with the two little wire connections on it. What was that extended you had could you give me some information on that too please Marco
I drive lowered cars and lifted rigs. Ive come to realize run the softest springs you can to prevent bottom outs while achieving the correcr ride height. Use bump stops and sway bars to tune the handling. Run shocks that allow full controlled and comfortable suspension cycling
Bada boom
Which front locker have you used ? Wish there was a light in the dash to be used for front locker and use the 80 switch for engagement as you did. Making it look OEM
the 98-99 Land Cruisers have a front locker dash light. I use an eaton e-locker
@@cruiserpatchmy car doesn’t have lockers either sides. Which one would you recommend ?
@noonsahib-je9ik eaton e-lockers work great for me
What jack is that?
Such a sick video dude. Thanks for all you do for the community.
thanks man! doing what I can
This helped me!!😊
Most of that lag, if not all of it, comes from oversized tires
Thanks, Patch!
Thank you! 🙏 💯
The kit is listed as sold out. Will it be available anytime soon?
I have a few OEM kits in stock but the metal tees will be a while before they’re restocked
Are you running the diff drop kit with your Ironman lift?
yes 100% I’m using the SuperPro diff drop kit. I’m currently backordered for those estimated back in september
Yes
Where’d you get that grill!?

You can’t kill those things
Just like a Cyber Truck
Is this for the 4.7 V8? Thanks for the video!
yes 👍🏼
These videos are low key the best to watch. 🤘
i’d be lying if I said I didn’t enjoy them myself 😂
Thanks for these videos! Extremely helpful and informative. I'm showing this to my mechanic.
Happy to help! There are a lot of little tricks that make it easier to work on these 👍🏼
Sounds like a jeep
Es una lastima que ayan mecánicos como tu el kit para sacar esas piezas no es caro esos golpes hacen mucho daño al auto
Dunno man, press kit isn't that expensive.. gonna hammer the new one in too?
Perfect, now every bushing and bearing attached to the fork/LCA is completely f'ed Typical boomer mechanic not capable of thinking
Boomer? I barely know her.
@@andrewduffie good one
@@jbrogert Thanks
I like to throw a jack under the LCA so it doesn’t bounce. Keeps the hammer energy on that LBJ!
smart! will do that next time
Enjoyed this video. I was just out there on Fin's last week. You are only front locked correct? Seemed to make a big difference on "the wall." My '05 LC climbs it well enough with A-TRAC but am installing a front locker this summer first before rear locker as I think it will be more advantageous with our IFS rigs. How do you like the CDL and locked front overall?
I was actually triple locked for this event/excursion. At the end of the trip I had some issues with my front locker not engaging (eaton e-locker- the supplied connectors are not waterproof FYI) I wheeled front locked for two years and after adding a rear locker I can say without a doubt that a rear locker is more advantageous than front however if I had to do it again, I would still do front first to prevent blowing it up Wheeling front and center locked vs rear and center locked is wildly different. Then triple locked (or twin locked) is a whole different ball game
@@cruiserpatch For sure. I've had two triple-locked 80's and they were amazing. Moved onto a Hundo for the drivability/power factor when not on the trails so the mountains were easier to navigate on I-70!
@mcknz75 I can’t imagine attempting to drive an 80 through Colorado without an engine swap or something…the 100 is definitely more highway comfortable as well
Sounds.......amazing?
Did the rear heater delete in my 80 series glad I did it.
awesome. do you have any part numbers for that delete? Would love to add it as an option for the 80 guys
@@cruiserpatch I don't remember the part numbers of the top but I remember that I found the part #s on ih8mud. I used the OEM 1st Gen Sequoia/Tundra heater hoses an they fit perfect.
How on earth did put this all back together?? It must have been a horror job....
😂😂😂
Love it. Thanks for taking the time to make these videos
more coming! I’ve had a lot less time to make them recently but they’re important to the community
As a '99 100 Series owner, I only had to glimpse at the gnarled metal and rubber for half a second to understand what I was looking at and have a chuckle. Hey, Patch!
😂😂😂 hey Trap! definitely one of those jobs you don’t forget
Damn.. why are they so hard to get out!
hmmmmm Toyota!!!??!?!????
If you need to hit it with a hammer it hasn't been properly maintained.
How’s the drive difference?
night and day. my girlfriend asked me if the engine was on when i stated it 😂😂😂
Where did you get those plastic pieces you’re using to slide your drawers? I’m looking to do something like that
search for UHMW plastic
Nice video amigo! Glad those flex head wrenches are working for ya 👍
dude they’re amazing! thanks again for the donation!
SO YOU SIMPLY REMOVED THE FAN SHROUD AND LIFT THE ENGINE AT THE BELL HOUSING? I DID THE TRANS MOUNT BUT NOT THE ENGINE. MINE STILL GOT OEM MOUNTS AND NOT SURE HOW TO DETECT THE SPLIT IN THE MOUNT WITHOUT LIFTING THE ENGINE.
if it vibrates a lot at idle the engine mounts might be bad
Creative!
scared to do this on my rusty ass 100 lol. Could you do a video on the ahc spacers? been interested in them and what kind of benefits they provide for a non ahc truck.
Great idea! The short answer is that for non-AHC trucks, it’s really only helpful for the rear end. I’ve got some great info on my build thread on ih8mud
You should play with chain snap binders in the rain or middle of winter
1998 lexus lx 470 with 340000 miles on it for 8K. Should I buy it?
Theres a 2000 Landcruiser with 250k going for $6500 here in KC in fantastic condition all things considered. I think that LX is slightly overpriced. Landcruisers are fantastic cars but they still have wear and parts that need maintained after 20+ years. The one your looking at I wouldn't pay over 5½ grand for it unless its in absolutely flawless condition.
