    I would recommend getting some maintenance work done before any upgrades. Repack the wheel bearings, check the heater tees, make sure the timing belt is up to date and the brake booster is in good shape. Once it’s baselined, you’ll have to experiment to find out what the right setup is for your use case and where you plan to go

    I drive lowered cars and lifted rigs. Ive come to realize run the softest springs you can to prevent bottom outs while achieving the correcr ride height. Use bump stops and sway bars to tune the handling. Run shocks that allow full controlled and comfortable suspension cycling

    Enjoyed this video. I was just out there on Fin's last week. You are only front locked correct? Seemed to make a big difference on "the wall." My '05 LC climbs it well enough with A-TRAC but am installing a front locker this summer first before rear locker as I think it will be more advantageous with our IFS rigs. How do you like the CDL and locked front overall?

  • @cruiserpatch
    @cruiserpatchАй бұрын

    I was actually triple locked for this event/excursion. At the end of the trip I had some issues with my front locker not engaging (eaton e-locker- the supplied connectors are not waterproof FYI) I wheeled front locked for two years and after adding a rear locker I can say without a doubt that a rear locker is more advantageous than front however if I had to do it again, I would still do front first to prevent blowing it up Wheeling front and center locked vs rear and center locked is wildly different. Then triple locked (or twin locked) is a whole different ball game

  • @mcknz75
    @mcknz75Ай бұрын

    @@cruiserpatch For sure. I've had two triple-locked 80's and they were amazing. Moved onto a Hundo for the drivability/power factor when not on the trails so the mountains were easier to navigate on I-70!

  • @HAHAHAradio
    @HAHAHAradio2 ай бұрын

    Theres a 2000 Landcruiser with 250k going for $6500 here in KC in fantastic condition all things considered. I think that LX is slightly overpriced. Landcruisers are fantastic cars but they still have wear and parts that need maintained after 20+ years. The one your looking at I wouldn't pay over 5½ grand for it unless its in absolutely flawless condition.
