    It look like rice but does it taste like rice 😮 can someone tell me

  • @RuledMe
    @RuledMe2 күн бұрын

    It's not going to have the same texture/taste as rice, but it can make a good replacement. Make sure you have high heat and you cook most of the moisture out of the cauliflower when making cauliflower rice. Making soggy cauliflower rice is one of the biggest mistakes I see new people making and they end up not liking it (and not trying it again) for that reason.

    Hmm no need to salt the zucchini to get rid of any excess moisture?

  • @RuledMe
    @RuledMeКүн бұрын

    You can if you want to. I typically lay the zucchini slices on a kitchen towel or paper towels for a few minutes to let some the moisture get soaked up.

    Looks yum but a doctor told me eating unsoaked chia seeds is dangerous as they will swell inside you. So hard to know what to believe.

  • @RuledMe
    @RuledMe4 күн бұрын

    These are soaked, you blend them and then they soak the liquid. That said, eating unsoaked chia seeds aren't really a health concern either (unless you're eating a crazy amount I guess). They just don't have the same bio-availability for nutrient absorption when unsoaked.

    How do i make this dairy and egg free? My daughter has allergies😢 so hard to find good recipes to make her. 😭

  • @RuledMe
    @RuledMe5 күн бұрын

    You'd need to find something that acts as a binder. Considering both dairy and eggs are used in the crust, it's difficult to sub both out. Flax eggs can work in place of the egg, but the cheese acts as a binder so I'm not sure how to easily replace that.

    What about powder sucralose like Splenda/sprigs off brand Splenda?

  • @RuledMe
    @RuledMe10 күн бұрын

    Powdered sucralose is usually not much sucralose. For example Splenda is 98% maltodextrin (which will spike blood sugar) and 1-2% sucralose. You can see more here: www.ruled.me/keto-diet-plan-best-and-worst-sweeteners/#sucralose

    nevermind. it does

  • @RuledMe
    @RuledMe10 күн бұрын

    @@bwy553 On Splenda it does. If you are using an off-brand, they could use a different powdering agent, but typically you see powdered sucralose mixed with maltodextrin. There are some brands that are true powdered sucralose (almost 100% pure sucralose), which are generally fine as well, since they will have a very minimal amount of powdering agent used (and also makes the sweetener extremely concentrated so you only need to use a small amount). I just don't see those as often so I assumed you were using a Splenda-adjacent type of powdered sucralose.

  • @bwy553
    @bwy55310 күн бұрын

    @@RuledMe I am and an Apriva brand that seems to be the same. I found some liquid splenda on amazon that does not list maltodextrin in the ingredients and a liquid off brand. Thank you for answering! I really needed the help. I hope I can use the liquid sucralose because I HATE stevia, Xylitol, monk fruite, and Erythritol have carbs (4-8 a TSP which is kind of alot unless you only use one tsp even though monk fruit is really good, I haven't tried the others) and sucralose just tastes good. Thank you, you are awesome!

    What size of pan do you use here? Thanks!

  • @RuledMe
    @RuledMe11 күн бұрын

    I believe we used an 11-inch pan for this, but the pan size shouldn't matter too much. If it's a bigger pan, the frittata will be thinner vs a smaller pan being thicker. Cook time may change slightly based on that, but it should be pretty easy to tell when it's not cooked through.

  • @RuledMe
    @RuledMe11 күн бұрын

    You can usually find it on sites like iHerb if you want to try it (though right now in the UK they are out of stock until July 14th). You should be able to see tagged products by hovering over the video and clicking 'Products'. That is a commission-based link, so my channel does earn a small % of sales that are purchased through there. Otherwise, it is supposed to be going through the approval for EU sales in 2025. Not sure if it will be delayed again, but currently it looks like it should be approved then.

    @RuledMe Keto seems to use aspects of what fighters do to cut weight fast for a weighin. This is not a long term healthy solution.

  • @RuledMe
    @RuledMe10 күн бұрын

    @@dvgadd Yes, fighters eat low-carb to deplete glycogen and drop water weight quickly for a lower weight before the fights they have. They also dehydrate themselves severely to get as low weight as possible. It's pretty disingenuous to contrast an extreme example of how the diet is used to decades of scientific research on the topic. But again, if it's not for you that's totally fine. Best of luck!

    Thank you so much for the change in format! I love your recipes but had to watched them 2 or 3 times to get all the information. The ingredients have always been on the top and the directions on the bottom but, with them both on the same screen, I didn't know whether to look at the top, the bottom, or just watch the live video. Having screens with the ingredients and no directions then more of the same screens with the directions and no ingredients is an absolute game changer for me. I can concentrate on what's happening in the video rather than worrying about what I missed. EDIT: Ok, so further in, there wasn't the seperation and I had to watch the top and bottom of the screen plus the video itself but maybe you could use the first part of my comment to possibly tweak future videos? For the first few recipes, it was totally amazing.

  • @RuledMe
    @RuledMe15 күн бұрын

    I think it just depends on the video - if the instructions are relatively simple and not too many ingredients, we can do that. But with a lot of these videos, it's trying to convey a lot of information in a short amount of time. That said, I'd really just focus on the ingredients at the top. You can usually surmise the instructions from just watching the video alone. And if it looks doable for you, we always have the written versions linked in the description so you can save it and go back to it/print it for later.
