Interesting video, only major disagreement is the GP38 getting an Honorable Mention. IMHO that is the most ridiculously priced engine in the catalog. I have already preordered the Lionel Lines Lionmaster J3A steam engine. I will wait until the engines arrive before making a decision on purchasing the Pacemaker version. I wonder if there will be any custom runs of the J3A engine.

Both of those track systems are 100% pure garbage quality. I remember when I used to use fast track. It was a pain in the circuit to work with because the track always got dirty Plus, it was so noisy. I couldn’t stand the noise of the track and it also had the worst electricity flow sometimes never used MTH real track. I was going to use it one time it’s more difficult to work with MTH real track. So basically the only better track would be Lionel tubular track, atlas and Gar Graves. They have a way better, electricity flow and they’re not more annoying compared to fast track and it’s not as difficult to work with like MTH real track.

The 773 is my favorite Lionel Hudson! The original is worth anywhere between 1,500 and 3,000 dollars I think. Every one of these models from 1950 to 2005 are spectacular but the new Lionchief one is a big insult to not only the 773 itself, but also the entire company’s history.
@railchief7419 күн бұрын

Very nice. There is nothing like watching post-war Lionel steam engines running on a layout. As far as the proper tender for the 773 goes, a 2426w is hard to find. It originally came with the 726 and was added to the Hudson in 1950, the last year for any nicely detailed tenders. You can use a 2466wx or 6466wx, which are the best of the post-war tenders, just after the 2426w and the 2671w from the Turbine and look great behind the 773. You could always find one of the LionChief 773 six wheel tenders. I really don't like running Pennsy style tenders behind the Hudsons and other locomotives that aren't Pennsy. An excellent video, as always.

Nice! I got home last night a bit too late to catch the stream live, but I watched some before I turned in and then the rest this morning. I like the continuous running. It is good for everybody, so they can watch what's happening, no matter when they tune in. I like the extension of the trolley line. Have you thought about adding to the other end? It would be really cool, if you extended it all the way around the town. I'm never home on the Fourth, but I'll catch up later, if you do one. Maybe, you can do an all passenger train video next. Very nice. MTH has always produced quality stuff, although I only own one of their engines. The SW1500's were cool locomotives. Fifteen hundred hp was a fair chunk of power in those little units. They were pretty common, back in the day. I've only ever operated one SW in my career. The W stands for 'welded frame and C stood for 'cast frame'. Originally, the SW stood for six-hundred hp, welded frame, whereas NW stood for nine-hundred hp, welded frame. Eventually, they dropped the hp designation and SW just became their line of switch engines, regardless of HP. A fine review and video, as always.
