Bruce Gore

Bruce Gore

Bruce W. Gore, M.A., J.D., has offered educational materials for those interested in the Christian faith for about 50 years. He served on the adjunct faculty of Whitworth University in Spokane, Washington for over 30 years, while maintaining a private practice in trial law. His informal and relaxed style, combined with rich content, have made Bruce a popular lecturer, teacher, and preacher, for many years. Bruce offers educational materials in Bible, history, and theology from the perspective of the Reformed Tradition, but his even-handed approach to his topics have made him popular with many from a variety of other traditions as well. Bruce is now retired, but continues to develop and upload material of help to many, and it is his firm hope that you will find these presentations a blessing and encouragement! Bruce is very proud of his daughter Noelle, whose blog has been an encouragement to many. boxhilltalks.substack.com

Brother Gore, you have quickly become my favorite modern teacher. You read a chapter a day from the Institutes. Many of us watch a lecture a day from Professor Gore. Thank you for your faithfulness.

The 'protestant' reformation is a Hegelian dialect. They brought in Calvinism as their false gospel ... repeat this prayer for Once Saved Always Saved. Its full of fake reformers ... the real body of Christ has always been underground not part of Mystery Babylon, mother of harlots and abominations. 'Reformed' Christian is Vatican 2.0 ... the 'reformers' were Catholic scholars, Vatican order of the Black Robe, infiltrators (Similar to the Jesuits but of a higher 'intellectual' order). We have all been duped, including myself! We must persevere in the faith for salvation LEST WE PERISH! DON'T BELIEVE SATAN'S OSAS/CALVINIST GOSPEL! We must be Born again and remain STEDFAST to the Lord to ultimately inherit salvation! IF is mentioned 24X in the NT, IF YOU REMAIN STEDFAST TO THE END HEBREWS 3:15

Theres a parallel in there too. Balam ,like his donkey, was going where he ought not. For the third time as well . Having just realized he pronounced judgment on himself. He probably bowed very quickly. Just a thought.

I’ve got a hypothesis .moses got to the top of the Red Sea and there was no water there .he thought he was in the wrong spot .so he went south till he can see water .the Egyptians were on there heels .the Hebrews crossed the sea of reeds by the time they crossed and were on the other side the water started to come back in like a tide and the Egyptians chariots got caught in the water .it didn’t drown them on the chariots it drown some of them because the were trying get there bogged horses and chariots out of the mud .

This is a great exposition. Very interesting. It's reasonably heretical for a staunch calvinist, however. I mean, mercy, spare us from the staunch calvinists, but even so, if the lord choose Balaam's donkey because it was the donkey that was there, at the time, which seems to me the only reasonable view of the thing, then that undermines a deterministic view of theology. It suggests that god can act on impulse, and even perhaps change his mind. A calvinist might be cast out of grace, for example. A banker might not be secure in his glorious tenure. A high priest might be found wanting. Anything is possible, once the lord has agency beyond the calvinist's keen interpretation.

This is interesting. But in Number 25 it were Midianites who enticed Israëlites to sin and not Moabites and Balaam was fount by the Israëlites in the camp of Midianites in their retaliation expedition in Numbers 31.

Logos comes from Lugh, the Irish god of the sun and light. It's the root for words like luz, Spanish for light, Latin lux, and also likely the root for Latin lex and English law and lore. The word, the law, the light.

28:50 You want someone who follows the natural law to date your daughter? Anita Hill was definitely subjected to people who follow “natural law”. This fallen natural world is definitely an excuse for both political parties to claim some sort of moral high ground. Shame neither follow the Bible. More of a shame I got to listen to political BS here.

Great lecture. High-information, lucidly presented. One criticism: Gore uses the term "monk" to identify Catholic clergy of any variety. E.g., he says that Savonarola was a "Dominican monk." There is no such animal. Dominicans are canons regular, a technical term that could confuse listeners. It would be enough to identify Savonarola as a priest who belonged to the religious order that is the Dominicans, the informal name of the Order of Preachers (Ordo Praedicatorum). That flyspeck aside, though, this lecture is excellent. Thank you.

The church at any time in history is messy business! Ours is no exception. Never doubt that God is doing many amazing things in the world right now, most of which we never hear of. He works effectively in spite of us, more than because of us.

Thanks for another wonderful lecture. Whenever I feel struggles in my life I am reminded of what they did to Him nearly 2000 years ago. They beat him to within inches of his life, then hung him on a cross to die. He accepted this so that I might have peace. It’s truly humbling that he did this for me. I’m not worthy.

The Exodus story is indeed an inversion on reality. The Hyksos who became Israel abused their power & treated Egyptians as inferior & fleeced them which is why the Egyptians with a Queen from the south defeated the Hyksos & forced them out. The Bible is full of lies, myths, inversions, supremacy supposedly justified by a creator of the universe that they made up all of which has been used to control people for over 2000 years now. They get believers in the three religions to fulfill prophecies by working towards the goals.

What I take away from this is that John Westly facilitated common grace , not a saving grace. He had to use semi- pelagianism to bring in the large numbers needed. The narrow way gospel was not going to do it. The gospel is mostly a hardening ministry , and instead of being like Isaiah or Ezekiel ; Westly had to bring in the reprobate via another gospel. It worked , but eventually, it led to Finnyism , Asuza street, crackpottery of all kinds . Even Billy Grahm's crusades with Catholics and Mormons - and Billy Grahm becoming apostate

Bruce Gore is post millennial and full preterist (which probably makes this lawyer a pope kisser). I went through about 200 of his lectures years ago, everything on revelation and revelation in time. It all started in the council of Trent in the 1540s with Futurism by Jesuits Francisco Rivera and LaCunza, when they split the second half of the 70th week of Daniel into a future timeline. That lay the groundwork for all who followed to fill in the Jesuit doctrines: Darby, Larkin, Scofield, Ruckman, Hagee, D Jeremiah, Dallas Theological Seminary, Moody bible institute, etc. ... to say dispensationalism is less than 100 years old is LUDICROUS! Maybe if you say when it was popularized by the Scofield bible -which by the way the Rothschilds financed- to be given to all seminaries and church laity for free.
