Arthur Migliazza

Arthur Migliazza

I have been playing boogie woogie and blues piano since I was 10 years old. I was fortunate to learn from some of the greatest contemporary masters of these styles, who were always incredibly generous with their knowledge. On this channel I do my best to pass on what I learned (from my teachers and from other personal experience) so that this music will never die.

    I had a recording of a demo song from Yamaha keyboard in my OneDrive. Somehow KZread recommended this video to me. How? Because Microsoft is selling my data to Google. Or KZread heard it using my phone's mic even though I listened to the recording on my PC. Any other way is impossible.

    How do you do a tremolo with e and g without hurting your wrist? I’ve been trying to do this for years and haven’t had much luck finding help on this. When I try doing this it’s very slow and if I try to speed it up it sounds uneven.

  • @thearthurmigliazza
    @thearthurmigliazza8 күн бұрын

    experiment with wrist position. I hold mine slightly to the outside. Chances are you have too much hand tension when you do it, but I don't know without seeing a video of you playing. For even control of the rhythm, take your time speeding it up. Find a tempo you can play 6-tuplets evenly then speed it up by 5 bpm every week (if you are practicing it at least a total of 10 min per day). But again, hard to diagnose without seeing a video. If you want to upload a video and post to the forum at Schoolofboogie.com I will take a look and respond there.

Wherever we sent the $5- (I don’t remember) it’s never been automatically deducted as it should have been. I wrote you about that long ago and you said you didn’t control that and oh well.
