The classic Mini, was like a Nissan Pao if it had double the horsepower. It was a racing go-kart for the masses. One of the cars I’d love to own one day.

I read his book and it was pretty good. I have no reason to believe that he fabricated one shred of the story. He did state several times that Hitler could be very charming (especially with women) when he wanted to be and I can see that being the truth as well (based on what Ian Kershaw wrote in his excellent biography of Hitler). I do believe that Hitler had not only one but two doubles and there is at least one photograph of a double lying dead in the streets of Berlin with Soviet soldiers examining the body.

Best car ever made, for all intents and purposes, all things combined was Mercedes W123. Not a rush of adrenaline, but not boring to drive. Practical 5 seater with big trunk, but still good looking. Timeless classic that can keep up with modern roads and traffic. Endlessly reliable. Comfortable to the Nth degree with armchair like seats. Looks of a Greek temple on wheels. Like a little black dress in motorised form. Mechanical symphony of pleasure in the form of engine sound. It can cruise in comfort on Autobahn, but can withstand rugged roads of Balkans. "Driving a Mercedes is like being transgender, it never leaves you unless you chop the whole thing"...
