Thanks so much. The bezel punch set is s life saver. It makes everything easy
This is 🔥
I must agree
When I tried add my handle it kept getting deleted
Glad it was sorted
Done ❤ goodluck to me :)#TRJ1000SUBS

Good luck to you
Hi! Can I ask if the channel coming from 90° angle to the skull face is better than one coming from the side? Does it give better results?
Great question. The answer is no, it doesn't give a better result. If you have sand casting rings that have channels from the side, then you can use it
Second time I can’t participate since I only have KZread :( But it’s all good. Good luck to all the participants! :)
I'm sorry about that. Don't you want to open an IG account?
Awesome wow.
Thanks so much
Your videos are great @tlhalefosopos.36 #TRJ1000SUBS
Loved the snippets near the end. What a great opportunity
It's a fantastic opportunity for the students. I hope they make use of it well
Thanks!
Thank you for the coins 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Really nice. I'm dipping my toe in the water of sand casting and want to make a chunky, men's skill ring. Why did you choose to cast the skull and shank separately? Was it make sure you gor a good pour? Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the comment. I'd like to see how your casting goes. I cast the skull and shank separately because it would have been impossible to pull out the wax ring from the sand without destroying the sand. To avoid destroying the sand, it was easier to separate them
Wow, what an amazing opportunity for the students! Great work showcasing UJ students working at De Beers Thato. It's inspiring to see them gaining hands-on experience in such a prestigious environment.
Thanks so much, Nikiwe. I appreciate the comment. I hope the students also found as much value in the programme as we did
Very difficult with smaller stones 😕
It is. You have to be very patient with it
I'll take one in 10.5 with an 11mm comfort band
Thanks for the request. Is 10.5 the diameter of your finger?
@@thatoradebe_trj it's my US ring size, i'm not sure how that relates
@inerlogic got you. Please drop me an email on [email protected] and we can take it from there
Cool! I’ve always wanted to try.
Thanks so much. Give it a try and let me know how it goes
Thank you for your time an effort and tutorial.... ❤🔥💪🏾
Thank you for watching. I'm glad you got some value
Excellent, you took your time to share your knowledge...thank you and keep the great work. Nice ring👍, I think I want to give it a try😃.
Thank you so much for the comment. I'm happy it has encouraged you to want to try it for yourself. Let me know how it goes
@@thatoradebe_trj Sure, I will, thank you😀.
Thank you Thato for the video. It was amazing👌👌I love it when you construct the thread. I did not know that tools existed in jewellery. I love the out come.
Thank you David. It's called a tap and die set. It is very useful
Congrats on hitting 1,000 subscribers! Your dedication and the amazing content you create are truly inspiring! Keep up the great work!
Thank you Nikiwe. The comment is much appreciated. The content is only going up from here
Such an informative video Thato, thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. This will definitely come in handy for me in the near future🙌❤️
Thanks so much, cuz. I'm glad it was useful
Love this bro. It’s still wild to me how our content creation stories are so aligned! This > stop the excuses just start! 🔥🔥🔥 I love what you said - each video that you put out there is just you continuing to perfect the content creation craft. That is so true. 1% improvement each upload is better than none at all. Road to 1K let’s GO 🙌🏾‼️
It's very wild that our stories are as similar as they are. We gotta keep pushing as much as we can because that's the only way we will reach the promised land. Keep up the grind, bro, you're doing amazing things
Darth Vader + Punisher = I love it!
I appreciate the love
I was exactly looking for this! Thankyouu for the time creating! Very nice to see 😊
I'm glad you found valur in the video. Much appreciated
Keep up the good job 💯💯
Thanks man
Wow, I’m impressed.
Thanks so much @alejandrogracia4448 much appreciated
Love this idea,=. Wearing our jewels in a creative way!
True. Jewellery can be whatever you want it to be
Nice work brother. The polish job really makes the skull pop. I'm just starting, but have printed some models I'd like to cast. This video helped me make a decision to try sand casting first before buying a vacuum casting machine and kiln.
Thanks so much. I appreciate the kind words. I would like to see how your 1st sand casting experience is. Please let me know. I have another video where I made a batman ring using sand casting as well, if you want to check it out. It is one of my previous video
increible. graciaaas. saludos desde argentina
Muchas gracias. Me alegra ver gente mirando en Argentina. 😊
Great.
Double Danko
Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge on editing videos. When the day comes where I might want to make a video, I'll watch your video again and again till it comes out as good as your videos. :)
Thats very kind of you to say. I am glad you have found some value in the work I do. I appreciate it very much. I'd like to see some videos you make, when the day comes
Very elegant ring.
Thanks so much. I appreciate it
Disain cincin yang cakep
@@SVDIVYA Terima kasih banyak
Excellent job! I've been polishing pieces with a Dremel and it takes forever and it's difficult. What type of polishing machine did you use? Also, is there a certain "spec" as to the polishing wheel you used? Thanks.
Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. The polishing machine is a standard polishing machine which I got at a place called goldsmith and jewellery supplies in Johannesburg, South Africa. I don't know what the brand is. I use a "hard" and a "soft" polishing mop. And I use a compound called "unipol" I hope that helps
@@thatoradebe_trj Thank you!
clever! alwys wondered how to make non-symmetrical design rings with delft clay, now i know :) thx!
Happy to help!
So lovely to see👍
Thanks so much. There is more to come
Hi can someone tell me why my sand flows out when i make the air vents? How can i stick the sand in?
Does it flow out when you are pouring the metal?
@@thatoradebe_trj no, at the start just when i pressed that in. I lift the all part and the sand slips out
@@alessandro12171 I think maybe you didn't hammer the sand in enough. You must really give it a good hit all around and then it'll stick to the rings
@@thatoradebe_trj alright thanks. I hope the ring will join the sand even if that is really pressed
nice job sir pls can you tell how you do the tamplate
The template can be found on www.ganoksin.com. Search for "hollow ring project". Otherwise you can draw the template yourself to make it your own design
Nice to watch this process. Next time you should cast your logo and inset it. That would be sweet.
That's a great idea, I think I might just do that for a future video

What are you trying to promote?
Really well thought-out, breaking it down into easy to follow steps - going to try this technique this week. Thanks for the video!
Glad it was helpful! Please let me know how the project comes out when you are done
Had to check out the beginning! You were solid on camera from the start.
Thanks so much. I'm sure you can tell that I was nervous
Some very good points here!
Hopefully it can be of use to a lot of people
Delft clay or petrobond?
Delft clay. I've never used petrobond. Would you recommend it over delft clay?
@thatoradebe_trj I've never used delft clay. I have heard that it captures the detail better on small jewelry pieces though. I was just curious what you were using. Now that we're getting back into the warmer weather, I plan on getting back to casting. I do need to learn to solder with .999 as some pieces are near impossible to cast.
@@teamSHTF delft clay really does capture the detail well. I'd love to see how petrobond works.
#teamSHTF
Really? In what way?
@thatoradebe_trj just found your channel. I use my hash tag as a way to comment and find relocate good videos. But since you asked, you would be on the team cause you're 1) a maker and 2) you know the value of precious metals. In a true SHTF scenario, you always need resourceful people. I'll watch more!
@@teamSHTF thanks so much for that. I appreciate it and I'm happy to hear you enjoy my channel
Very cool! I have an idea, that would make it pop. If you etched it, so that it was all covered in black, then polished it again, wow, it would look very cool too, because the lines would be very visible!
Thank you so much for the comment. It's interesting you say that because I recently made another video where I covered a ring black. It is a very similar ring to this. You can check it out on this link kzread.info/dash/bejne/e3uoxrGymdSzg8Y.htmlsi=I_Fi2DFwzGJLfDBM
@@thatoradebe_trj Yes, very good, but I meant the other way around, so after you etch it, then you run it on the polisher, and the lines and groves are left, leaving very pronounced marks. But that one looks good too!
@@jjhh8425 I should give it a shot. Thank you
