    May I suggest using carbon paper if available, it will transfer the holes brighter unto the fabric. This method is easier than sewing. I have always use the sewing method, until now. 😂, I love it, thank you for sharing it.

    So, I DO sew, but I really don’t want to switch to sewing when I’m crocheting, so I avoid these type of projects. I never thought of doing this! Not to mention that the finishing is gorgeous. So thankful for this video. 🙏🏻

    What graph mat do you use? Does it have holes in it too use the skip blade?

    Love this technique. Unfortunately, the repeated sighing (nerves? But sounds like boredom) is distracting and enervating.

    Awl rhymes with Haul. Saying words “wrong” means you learned them from reading (or have a different dialect). thanks for demonstrating a non-sew option.

    Take a screenshot of the glowforge svg’s using print screen button on your keyboard and open in paint and crop out what you don’t want, or using the windows snip tool take a picture of it. Open the saved file in lightburn and use the trace function.

    That is a rotary cutter! It’s a round RAZOR BLADE! Do not ever push it towards your other hand. Do not wave it around open. CLOSE IT before putting it down. It can slice your finger or hand open, requiring serious stitches or surgical repair! This is basic safety. Would you wave around a knife like that? It’s DANGEROUS!

    My Bolt sat in the garage for a month before I was able to find help to get it inside. It arrived a month earlier than it was supposed to, which was great! Their customer service is awesome! I had an issue, which was my fault. I emailed support and within an hour, I got an answer and my issue was resolved. That was on a Sunday. I get my acrylic and mdf from Houston Acrylic. The shipping is fast. I just got some two tone acrylic from Trotech to make some signs. Lightburn is easy to use and I love it. The camera is spot on. I’m able to use every little scrap of material because of it. I don’t know if you’re familiar with Laser Nug on KZread. He make’s awesome videos using different materials and he shares the settings. I have an Xtool F1 also. It’s lightning fast but the customer service is awful. I would definitely purchase another Bolt.

    Good video except during a lot of your crocheting of the liner, you were off camera. Be more aware in your videos going forward.

    I really love this! I just started crocheting in March of this year and made my mom a bag as my first “big project”. I’ve wanted to re-make one for her because I’m so much better now, but struggled with how to line it. This is the PERFECT solution for me, I love that my bags will now be completely put together with crochet. Thank you for sharing!

    I also did not know about a Skip blade, but I could see the use of it if you wanted to add lace to the bottom of your T-shirts and other already made objects. Great video I wonder if I’m the only one who close my eyes as you took the Skip blade right along the pins. Lol.

    It's a rotary cutter not a pizza slicer. Imagine the embarrassment when a person asks for a pizza slicer in a fabric store. Great way to line a bag.

    That's an amazing idea ! I had no idea this kind to tool existed but that's a game changer for me ! I can sew and use a sewing machine but I don't really like using it with thick fabric or on crochet because I'm always afraid my needle gets stuck, breaks or something (because I already had this bad experience several times 😅), so I know what to do now, thanks for this video !

    Thanks for showing us a different way to attach the lining. Beautiful!

  • @raphaelsylla876
    @raphaelsylla876Ай бұрын

    I actually do this. Not just for the lining of the bags/pouches, but also I "crochet" the zipper. The edges of the zipper are crocheted in a smaller weight yarn around, just single crochet. Then I crochet the zipper to the bag/pouch itself. It is more durable and it adda all those small fancy details of crochet stitches.
