Hello Everyone!
My name is Joe and welcome to the 6ixth Gear channel!
This channel was created to give people as much content regarding cars that you may be interested in purchasing or well maybe are just interested in.
Here's a little information about me and my intro to the automotive industry.
I started working at a carwash in 2015 and absolutely loved it since we had the odd sports car come in sometime to get cleaned. But it was pretty cool turning a dirty car into show room condition after.
After my carwash job, I attended the Automotive Business School of Canada which is Georgian College in Barrie Ontario. My degree was an Honours Bachelor of Business Automotive Management.
During my time at school and after, I had plenty of awesome co-ops and jobs with GM, Ram, Ford and Mercedes. I was a service advisor, sales assistant/delivery specialist, sales coordinator and a sales consultant.

I'm a HVAC mechanic for decades and last truck I bought was 2003 f150 for $18,500 and I still driving it cause no way I can afford near a new truck only making $35,000 year . Hardest workers get screwed and only those who somehow cheat system make big bucks . $30,000 is my cap so guess I'm driving this old rust bucket till it blows then start walking everywhere?
Air dam and tow hooks, that about it for the front. The entire front was refreshed, you missed everything.
Damn dude, my first house cost the same as that Denali, and it was new in 2012.
Just looked for fun at a 2021 Sierra 1500 SLT with 70k miles going for 40k and it rated it as a great deal
I bout a 2013 GMC Sierra 1500 SLT in 2016 for 27k with less than 50k miles go look at a 3 year old truck now
I'll take a hybrid over a stupid ev. I live in saskatxhewan and the thought of trying to drive an EV in the winter here seems like something that would drive me into never driving again. Pushing EVs by 2030 into parts of Canada that will most likely never be ready for it seems like insanity. If I lived in a major city it might be ok but in Saskatchewan and I gotta drive 200+km one way (almost no super chargers and I live in a condo so home charging is out) to do allot of things and I don't need that kind of aniety in my life.
yeah I bought my 2014 crew cab 1500 Sierra for $54,000 in 2014. I want a new one but to pay almost double to get what I have now. No way. I'm going to baby my 2014 until the engine blows up.
oh its an offroad LTZ with the 6 speed and 5.3?L. I love it and use a obd2 pod to turn off the stupid cylinder deactivation. Its never saved my mileage and I'm not going keep that on to let the sluge build up in her...i hope. Dealers where offering my like over 40k during the pandemic for her but what am I going to replace it with? Something that costs way more with even more crap to go wrong? No thankyou. The only thing I would improve in my truck if I could would be better fuel milage without reliability suffering and It would be nice to have a better infotainment but I mostly listen to local FM and audio books off my phone while driving anyways.
Looking to buy one had a 96 back in the day very good truck ❤
120 plug my ass.. That’s 400 watt plug.. Meaning it identifies as a plug but it has almost no power.
I wish you could order the smoked truffle interior with the exterior black appearance package.
looks like extended version
Looks like something filmed in blender😂 Why do evs need to look so futuristic.
this is exactly what id get, add spray in bed liner, FX4 offroad, and the 5.0 V8 instead of the 2.7L lol
2.7 has no power
Great video! I disagree with your closing statement- trucks are sitting because of the monthly payments associated with high interest rates are crazy. The average debt slave only thinks in terms of monthly payments. When interest rates come down, people will start buying again, so the prices will never come down. This is the time for people like me who only care about out the door price to buy. I just got a new 2023 for <$9 MSRP😎
I have the 24, so far I really like it. Smooth, quite and surprisingly quick. I'm averaging 23mpg.
Back in the early '70s, when I bought my first truck, a truck was a WORK vehicle! If one wanted a car, they bought a car. SUVs were just a glimmer on the horizon at that time (early Broncos or Blazers), so maybe a El Camino or a Ranchero. Nowadays, a used Tacoma is going to set you back $25 to 35K, for two wheel drive with a four foot bed. Part of what needs to change is the attitude by the buyers regarding a truck's purpose in life.
Still available?
Those dimensions are WRONG!!!
For the same set up, it’s cheaper in Canada than to buy it in the US. In Canada it’s USD $72,600 & building it from Fords website in the US the same setup on the King Ranch is $78,100. About $5500 cheaper.
Dump the Fx4 & Sunroof , full seat recline & save 4 k.
you did a wonder job !! its a super precise explanation about the vehicle, I'm wondering why they didnt add the towing pack to the truck !! Overall its great !!
I have the 2020 xlt sport and I realy like it but the 2024 looks realy nice
The 2.7 will be quick! Too bad the rear seat room is lacking imo.
Naaaaa ford didn’t get it done with this one!
Powerful
Enough with the blacked out look. It just looks dull and dirty.
Played out it makes chrome look nice again on some areas. Not a fan of the chrome pack but it is a more durable material these tend to get a lot of front end road chips.
Just $99,475 MSRP $25,000 dealer markup $7,000 paint protection (wax 😂) $8,000 fee for not financing with dealer $2,100 dealer fee $3,000 window etching $1,600 very small pinstripe $900 air for tires $1,400 nitrogen added to tires $600 dealer parking fee $700 dealer storage fee $1,250 test drive fee $150 dealer free coffee fee $99 dealer bathroom use fee Total $ ARM + LEG and a lifetime of endless monthly payments 😂 Let me know if I missed anything…..
My dad leased his 2024 King Ranch Powerboost at $78,170 and his payment is $450 a month for two years, I'd say it's perfectly doable 💁♂️ (To be fair he had the A-plan discount and his down payment was $5k)
It costs more than a raptor 😮
What a sweet exhaust note.
I have a 2021 F150 Lariat, with power boards, and moon roof with flip work station. I AGREE, the 21-23 BEST HEADLIGHTS and Taillights, with rear step with handle. 2.7L Still my favorite truck. Has much more led/ chip features. Temperature controls that have Temperature readout. New ones, do not have this feature. ❤
I drive a 2007 focus with a duretec engine these new ecoboom engines are junk.
Na, if I’m spending that kind of cash I’m going with a lariat. Ford has them priced too close together not to just get the higher up trim.
I just ordered all black, in Burlington Ontario. I never found the option for the Dual Exhaust?
Nice you’ll love it! Yes you can get the dual exhaust option, I believe it’s part of the black appearance package!
I would love to own a Transit Connect. I am a delivery driver on a fixed income, so it’s hard for me to save up and I can’t afford payments. Owning one would allow me to obtain contracts with different delivery companies. Maybe one day!!
Never understand why anyone does a video/review of a vehicle that is filthy. Should be washed at the very least if not detailed.
No rear wheel liners on a Lariat wow
Learn how to spell English lol
I was thinking about taking the 2023 F150 KR tailgate (the full tailgate not just the plaque) and replacing it in the 2024, the controls are the same and design are almost the same very similar controls, i don't know why they discontinued the tailgate plaque that was fords premium feature, without it on the higher trims it makes it look like a base trim like an XL, STX, XLT
The tailgate appliqué may still be available on the KR if you order the chrome package. Which this one did not have

R35 in the background ☠️👀
I would never buy anything with Turbos... I had a 2016 EcoBoost 60k miles and 2 engines... Engineering or general Public don't know how Hot Turbos get. They get to1,875 degrees Fahrenheit. They're mounted 1/8 of an inch and no Heat Sheild between them, or Turbo Blancket.. In California Minimum Wage went from $8.50 10 years ago, 5 years Ago it was $15 per hour, and April 1, 2024 Minimum Wage in all of California Food Workers $20 per hour... I have footage of Bronco Raptor at $130,000 F150 Raptor R are from $209,000 to $130,000. Last year there was 1c and it was $260,000. Truck here Start at $90,000 and go to $130,000 and up.. I have footage on all of this. 👨🏻👍🏻🏎️🏁🚩🌲⛰️🧗🏻 The Markup still exist.
The ceo of ford is killing the company
I can afford just about any vehicle. I just can't justify the cost. I'm out
I am looking for a truck at the moment. I went to a Ford dealer to try out their selection and dude...let me be honest. Ford, as it currently runs, produces nothing but plastic garbage. I drove a F150 XLT with the 2.7L Ecoboost. I already hated driving it, but after seeing the sticker at $69,700? I had to laugh. Wanting $70k for a truck that feels like it was made by Fisher-Price is a joke.
Wow I paid 50k$ vor a 2020 Lariat
I bought a real ST Explorer in 21 for 59k. Ridiculous.
Domestic mfg'rs are placing all there over head, recall costs, loss's ect in there trucks and SUV's . The domestics need to re evaluate CEO salaries and costs and start building quality not low grade way over priced junk
They come with complimentary recalls.
OMG! So Right. I’m stealing that one. 😂
90K for a Bronco if you ll pay that you need your head read.
