Danfoss OSPC orbitrol main relief valve setting 190 bar and shock valves setting 240 bar so if you test with pressure more than 190 bar then it's normal to become reaction orbitrol if you not then there's a wear in main relief between valve poppet and its seat "make it act like an orifice!!".on other hand in real application there's always pressure supply from steering pump so even if there's a wear Volume flow rate of oil will make delta P across that orifice"failed relief"! that will not allow steering wheel to rotate back like that.

with the Hydraulic flow completely off, My new Holland tractor steering box makes a clicking noise while turning the steering wheel left or right. At the moment the steering is NOT working on my tractor. Just trying to troubleshoot my problem. I had a low level of hydraulic fluid and was working the tractor on a steep grade. could the low fluid level or hard jarring of hitting large rocks with the tires broke something inside the steering box? won't even turn the wheels with the wheels off of the ground.

Nice, now we need something to measure how much the hose shortens as pressure rizes

Maybe anti-cavitation check valve not working properly because you put orbitrol in horizontal position

When you say one port is connected to tank and the other is pressurized, do you mean the hose connected to tank is filled with oil or there is still air filling the hose

I'm not an expert in hydraulics by any means, I will go out on a limb there and say massive internal leakage of the pump. Love your channel, love your blog. Thanks for what you do, greetings from Italy.

Nice work, did you build it for testing pressure switches or digital indicators?
@InsaneHydraulics2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I use it to test pressure switches, pressure sensors, cells and transducers, pressure gauges as well ( I like building my own...). Whenever I need a static pressure source and a component is zero leakage.

Hi, Daniel, this was a hobby project of mine that helped a lot with my work, but there just wasn't enough interest to justify the development of a sellable product. I built the app as well. You can catch the details and news (if there's any) here - www.insanehydraulics.com/wireless.html. I use it with 400 and 600 bar Gems pressure transmitters and Parker analog flow rate sensors.

Thanks that was really helpful and interesting. Regarding the instability what would you do to try and resolve that? An accumulator in the LS line? or a reducing orifice in the LS line?
