  @@MOGODDTHEFIXER I’ll take a closer look today , the rear looks lower too . Seems to be about 2 inches or so lower than my other bay . I got the pair for well under £9k so not too worried as they both run and drive ok and are solid underneath etc .

  Hi, I have a question and was wondering if you could help. I'm trying to restore a 1972 Super Beetle. I just put in a new pedal assembly and connected the clutch cable. (The engine and clutch are not installed yet). I THINK I did it right, I tightened the cable and the lever on the transmission moves when the pedal is pressed. But I'm wondering, how much does the throw out bearing have to travel for the clutch to work? I'm totally new to this and I hope I did it right!

  Hi, take your time bit bit and enjoy it, I see you say you did not install the clutch kit, meaning that even if you press the clutch pedal it will just move cause there is nothing to disengage the transition of power from the engine to the gearbox.

  Got a tip from a clutch specialist.... If the clearance between the pressure forks and the release bearing is too big you must add shims or a washer on each bolt between pressure plate and flywheel, otherwise you will find hard to get gears.... This especially happen when you resurfaced (skimmed) the pressure plate
