For water, get a portawell.
Definitely looking into this. What do they charge for a crown?
This is the first RV that really looked homie, the white really works. Great job. I love your fur babies. Dogs make a house a home.
I mean this in the nicest way possible. The title of the video isn't worded the best. RV roof maintenance is not eliminated, you still have to get up on the roof and check things out, and make sure everything is in tip top shape. Yes eternabond tape will eliminate the need for a caulking gun and the self leveling sealant for sealing around all your RV roof fixtures. You still need to maintain your RV roof, clean it, and check up on it. Don't forget that you need to maintain the seals around your windows, storage compartment doors, corners of RV, etc.
What's the name of the casino on the border I can stay at
Quechan Casino Resort
Solar panels in the shade!😅
Great job, I'm gonna subscribe 😊
I spotted so many of the things in IKEA yesterday when I was there that everyone keeps showing in their videos. They are so fun!! I love your decor!!
I did the same in 2017! Then added a second coat the following Spring. It is still in great shape, but will probably add another coat this summer.
What a pretty RV! A little dated but looks like it was in excellent condition! 😃
We completely remodeled it so it doesn’t look dated anymore. The tour video is on our channel 😃
this guys good, I know that because Im good!
Looks amazing. I will definitely be doing this to my RV. Thank you for the follow up video for the product. ❤
We loved your video showcasing our beautiful town, Los Algodones, also known as Molar City! It's wonderful to see the charm and vibrant atmosphere of our community captured so well. Los Algodones is truly a unique place, not just for its picturesque streets and friendly locals, but also for its reputation as the dental care capital! 🦷✨ Thank you for highlighting what makes our town so special. We hope your experience here was as enjoyable as your video. ✨ #LosAlgodones #MolarCity #ThankYou #DentalCare #CommunityLove
Very nice job. I could live in it. I love how clean and uncluttered it is inside.❤
Cool
Thank you great to see your ideas.
You're welcome!
@CalledToWander we go tomorrow to look at a slide in camper (used) to put on our 2001 Dodge 3500 flatbed truck. I really appreciate that you talked about center of gravity.
@@terrybowling5973 I wouldn't do this setup again this way because of that and the total weight. Every time I look back on this rig (sold it over 3 years ago) the pictures make me cringe! Should have had a bigger truck. We were right on the center of gravity, by like 2 inches. But the weight is a huge consideration too. Enjoy the shopping!
Where did you buy the Henrys Tropi Cool sealant and what did you pay
Home depot. Prices vary. Don't remember what we paid 3 years ago but its $350 now for 5 gal.
Dude! Just get too the repair, You talk a bit too much.
You don't have to watch. This was a literal step-by-step DIY repair done by a professional for people to know how to do it. Thanks for watching!
Can it be put all around the exterior or on the pull outs ?
Anywhere you have a roof and don't want water to go. It may not stay well on the slideout depending on how much scraping may take place on the roof as it slides out. That varies and may be minimal.
dont do Mexico anymore been there twice but with all the unrest I would never go again
You don’t have to go back. But we love Mexico and its people so we’ll go every year
@@CalledToWander How about starting at "We love Mexico".The" you dont have to go back ".sounds aggressive and you keep saying you are Christians. It doesnt mesh it was a snide remark. I was just strolling along looking at a new channel. Was what I said not true? You cant even drink a drink at a hotel pool. ( I think you meant Greenberg Dental)
You talk way too much that's so annoying go into another video you lost me
You don't use periods in your sentences. Thanks for watching. Thousands of other people find it helpful.
Is the ford v10 actually that reliable? Never dealt with one.
We've put 40,000 miles on the motor doing only routine maintenance.
Is it better than FlexSeal ?
100 times better

Henry's tropical? Is the name.
Henry’s Tropicool
Very helpful video. I’m in the process of looking for an RV as a first timer buyer and will be using tips from this for inspecting. Looking for something roughly 2-3 years old due to depreciation. You’re RV looks like it’s in great shape.
Glad it was helpful! Ours is in great shape for being 25 years old!
How is this affordable?!? For a 1 gal, Henry's is 90 bucks!! A five gallon is almost 500 bucks!!! Affordable on the long run maybe but not for upfront costs..
$500 and some sweat equity compared to putting a new roof on? Go find a new roof for under $500 and make a video on it.
Great advice, thanks 🙏🏻
You’re welcome!
What are your thoughts on putting the eternabond OVER the tropicool? I have my tropicool arriving this week and was thinking about doing the whole roof and then covering the edges of my roof with eternabond over the tropicool.
The eternabond won’t stick to the tropicool.
@CalledToWander thank you. Looking last night I found other responses saying the same. Got coat #1 on today and I love the tropicool. Plan on doing 1-2 more coats.
I have the 10g Atwood in a 2002 Fleetwood Bounder. From your understanding what challenges can I expect?
If you haven’t owned it since 2002 then likely previous owners didn’t change the anode rod. Check that immediately and replace it if it’s corroded. If the anode rod has been bad for a long period of time there’s a chance the water tank itself is corroding from the inside out. Worst case is you’re going to turn it in one day and hear it start to heat up and then the terrible sound of water spraying and leaking out of the rusted tank. You can also look beneath the tank exterior and look for signs of rust. We had a rust pile under ours, probably 6 months or so from catastrophe
Thanks! I was meaning challenges with changing from the tank to the tankless. I just recently ordered the tankless
The challenges we faced were figuring out which wires to connect from the new unit to your existing wiring from the old water heater, which will vary. Also, we had issues with the lining up of the propane copper pipe which is why we used an adapter and flexible propane hose we got from Hime Depot. Otherwise the hole should fit almost exactly. We had to notch our hole out a bit as Shasta actually did a great job and had an aluminum frame around the hole to prevent water damage. We had to notch that… so, could be more than just an hour job lol
Thats fair. Yes wiring will be interesting. I know that the 120 can be put into an outlet or capped. As far as twelve volt I need a power and a ground? I assume I don’t the the switch wire anyone since there is no electric element .
@@jamestrippca We capped the wire to the switch since it is no longer needed. The wiring diagram should show the grounds, etc. It's relatively straightforward and the remote wires in separately in the front (outside access) of the unit so it's not like you have to figure out 15 different wires. Hopefully it goes smoothly for you!
How do I know if replacing the coming unit is what I need to do?
Typically you will see a yellow crystallization forming on the pipes or underneath the baffle if you take a few screws off. Thats the ammonia leaking out.
I removed the panel and there's nothing yellow and no smell. It has power for the electric but does not cool. I turn propane on and it starts cooling. Will not cool on electric
@@Glich_plays_games the heating element is most likely bad. Search your fridge model number and “heating element” and you should be able to buy one. Amazon sells them too
@@CalledToWander thank you so much
@@Glich_plays_games Not sure what this could mean aside from perhaps the motherboard is bad. You could try and replace that (send it back if not). We replaced our motherboard at one point for another issue and it was literally plug and play. Number the fuses as you take them off and it's usually just 2 or 3 screws. Another option if it works on propane is just to run it on propane. If you stay anywhere for a longer period of time, install an Extend A Stay propane adapter like this and use an external tank you can take and refill/swap out. My money is on the motherboard for the electric, but that's only because it seems evident it is not the propane system. amzn.to/4dS2cnv
Looks good thus far. It might be a hook shot if you stand to go, or I guess you could put one knee on, or a han held urinal extender. Ahh, nice storage area!
This is a squatty potty. We’ve yet to find an RV where you can stand and pee without making a mess. The convenience of the composting toilet and diverting the urine to store for weeks if needed outweighs anything else
@@CalledToWander Squatty😄,🙂👍
PLEASE TELL US HOW MUCH 💰YOU PAID FOR THIS RV, SO We Can Have an idea of price ranges for this Class of RV and Make and Model Year. Thank youuu!
We bought this RV almost 4 years ago during Covid when RV prices were at the highest… So knowing what we paid doesn’t matter at all. The RV market has come down significantly since
What would be a good way to check if you winterized properly and no water lines are cracked without filling the FW tank with water and running the pump? Can you use an air compressor and listen for noises once the system pressurizes at 40 PSI?
We did not worry about that as we bought the Rv in a region that does not experience hard freezes and we also planned to gut and remodel everything. The best thing to do is to fill the tank and run every faucet and shower so you know they work and, of course check for leaks during that process. Pull out all the cupboards and drawers for access to the pipes if you do this. We planned to replace all plumbing appliances so we weren’t terribly concerned about it
How well did it hold up going over the tape… heard some people had it peel up.
3 years and going strong, same as it was the day we applied it.
Do you have links to the parts you used for the propane line extension? I have that same issue. I already decided to get some additional water lines due to the different placement on the Fogatti than on the Atwood, but I don't know the correct parts to extend the propane line. Everything I'm finding seems to be for your grill and not the 5/8" UNF size specified by Fogatti. I had that same issue with the screw heads for getting the Fogatti into the opening. I had metal pieces there and a couple of bangs with a hammer where the screws scored the metal and it slid right in. Thanks for the informative video.
I do not. I just know it was readily available at Home Depot and a much more sensible solution than trying to pull and bend the existing copper pipe. Sorry!
I was getting ready to do this and new sealant on my RV roof. Notice that there is not lap sealant around the air conditioner cover it looks like on this video you don't even remove it you just paint up to the edge with the Henry's? Is that right?
So you actually want to paint over it as much as you can, covering the part of it that screws to the roof because it’s a waterproofing paint so it’s basically extra reassurance that you’ve waterproofed every little nook and cranny.
Yes, cover as much as you can. I did go back on a later coat and covered the overlapping seams and screws for the ac unit.
Thanks! I went up as far as I could My air conditioner after it takes a cover off has a sheet of metal screwed down to the roof I just like wedged my paintbrush under there as far as it could. hopefully it's good enough
@@SassyShelly That's what we did and so far so good!
Great job god bless
Thank you! You too!
I just got a SpotOn, and I think it is better for camping. It has an off-grid mode where you can set up your fence without internet. Often we camp in national forests, and we do not know precisely where our camping spot will be ahead of time (favorite spot might be taken). With the Halo you would need to make the fence ahead of time , where SpotOn allows you to make it on the fly without internet. This is a HUGE plus.
That’s definitely a bonus! We do have Starlink so are able to set up a fence anywhere using that
450. Is better than 350 . I wish our RV had 450. But some tritan engines blow spark.plugs ( the 350 blew 3 at once)
Every engine has its flaws. We just had to replace the spark plugs as we threw one. But all is good now.
Thank you for coming out as disabled/ Crohn Disease. Doesn't matter what you have or disabled, you can go RV ( van life etc). Thank you
For the most part. We consider ourselves blessed for suee
Yeah paper plates are life saver and marriage saver! Thank u for caption
Yes they are!
I want so desperately to get started living the Van life. All of the youtube videos that I've watched have been extremely inspiring and motivating. I hope to see some of you good people on the road ahead. ❤ Peace be with you.
Keep planning and working toward the goal. It has not been easy for us in our personal financial situation but we live the road and have managed to make it work for 6 years, traveling where we want and stopping to work when we need to. You’ve got this!
Thank You young man😊
No problem 😊
How big is your RV and how far did that 4.75 gallons go?
2.5 coats and still some left. 30’ class C. 8 feet wide, maybe 25 feet of roof. Minus appliances
I wantvto do this to my Lazy Daze rv
Good remodling job.
Thanks 👍

It didnt blow up! And hearing the chuckling.. im a new fan lol
Thanks! Gotta have some humor in life!
I bought mine from a bus company they said they sealed everything I’ve never owned one didn’t know what to look for nothing was sealed I had to rubberize and seal the entire roof. There’s water damage that I have found on the walls. Then one of the owners of the company passed away, so getting it titled into my name was a bitch because they didn’t sign off. Now I’m having to restore it before we can even use it
Buying used is scary. But new is crazy expensive and no guarantees they’re going to be any better.
