My aim is to share the love I have for wild camping, bushcrafting, cycling and hiking with you all. I’m newish to this journey starting up in September 2019 and having done this sort of stuff when I was a kid, (but back then it was just called camping 😜), I've rekindled my love for the outdoors.

    Hi, enjoyed the video. Relaxed and chilled wild camp. I like the no talking style so you can experience the scenery and the camp itself. One question, what's the tarp you are were using? I want a tarp that cover wild camping bit also can be put up if its raining when on a hike. Just subscribed.

    Awesome, thank you! This one is the DD superlight tarp small. It’s 2.8m x 1.5m. Yeah there’s a lot of people out there already that chat a lot on the vids. I like to just chill and let nature do the talking 😜. Thanks for watching and the sub. I’ll be sure to check your channel out.

    Hi and a great set up and pitch, got to love a bivy !!! 26 years since I did Snowdonia peaks inc Crib Goch Just wish Taros were a bit more wind stable if you have them higher Cheers

    Yes I did have to get up and pop some more pegs in the back 🙈 but really enjoyed the camp. And the Sierra design bivy is amazing, zero condensation defo a great addition to the camping gear. Thanks for watching 😊

    Im thinking that a tarp would make a better poncho than the other way round.

    Haha you’re probably right. I tend to use the poncho as an emergency shelter and want to get out the rain to do some cooking etc.

    theres something comforting about the rustling sound of a tarp as its being moved into place, almost like the tarp is singing a song of " camps almost up! "

    For info you can have it together with the gelburner in the canvas bag and still be able to roll it down to glose it.

    @@MSIOutdoors First time I watched the video I went straight to Trangia shop in Sweden an ordered the exact same kitt with similar setup inside. But I have both the spirit burner and the gel burner and it's my favourite set-up when I'm out hiking. So thanks for sharing it.

    I like the way you walk it's just one foot at a time, not complicated or anything it's how walking should be, have you ever considered snow chains for your feet? They help with mountain penitration

    Just a tip buddy when using sticks as walking poles for the tarp stick something over the top of the stick just to minimise making a hole in the tarp😊 .i use duct tape then when i no longer need it ill put the tape back in my pack for emergency fire starter...awesome video buddy

    PS I have tge same Tomshoo stove there brilliant when used correctly and you have an endless supply of free fuel all around you lol maybe you should soak cotton wool swabs or balls in petroleum jelly great firestarter and to avoid a mess just wrap them in gorilla tape or stuff into a drinking straws

    Good vid only problem i can't believe still so many get these wood gasifier stoves wrong like yourself. They burn from the top down fill it up with sticks just below the vent holes and use your firestarter on top it will make it a lot easier on you and obviously if you can use hardwood for longer burntimes better still

    You're welcome my tomshoo has air holes on top and a gap to put in sticks without taking the top of why use the Kelly kettle top piece 🤔 it's only smothering the fire hence all the smoke you didn't even get the 2nd burn in the inside chamber I know you'll improve from mistakes we all make them lad ☘️👍

    the kk if used correctly is a stove for cooking with small pan and small frying pan, cup for hot or cold drinks kettle for boiling water, water carrier and fire to keep you warm all in one. how much room does a bottle of water pan set stove cup and fuel take up.

    Interesting, it pulls the flame from the spirit burner straight up the chimney, using it in the kk does it burn through the alcohol faster than if it was being used normally? Thanks for the video.

    Thanks for watching. It did use a bit more alcohol than usual, but not loads more. But the KK was full (600ml), so could be worth trying it out against the actual trangia kit with same amount of water.

    Can’t quite remember, but maybe one of the sections was set at 125, not sure how big that would make the pole in total. Maybe 80-90cm. Thanks for watching 😊.

    A very good & compact set up. I use hexamine solid fuel tablets in the Trangia gel burner but use a UST Pack It Stove. Thank you for sharing.👍

    Thanks for watching. I have been thinking about using the hexamine as the Fire dragon turns to a liquid, once it’s burned down it become a solid again, sometimes making it difficult to get out.

    Just bought this under quilt. How did you attach it? I know it has the shock cord and carabiner... but where di you lop it around? The tree strap carabiner?

    @@JeffSipper to be honest I’ve only used it once. I borrowed the setup to a mate and he’s still got it. Must be good though because he’s always in it 🙈. My next woodland camp will be hammock so think I will be getting it back 👍
