I suppose the headcannon about James using his vainness as a cover up, but I don’t think so. He’s shown to be caring to the other engines, and is significantly less pompous than Gordon in my opinion. He isn’t afraid to show that he cares when need be either. I like to think that he just generally thinks he’s above pulling trucks, in a similar but not as excessive fashion as Gordon.

In my opinion, if I was to rewrite any Thomas character, here are 6 examples of those characters and how I’d rewrite them; 1. Billy: Instead of a bratty hillbilly who wants to get his own way, he is a silly and clumsy but well-meaning idiot who only wants to do his best. 2. Charlie: I would base his personality and comedy on Eric Idle. 3. Bash and Dash: They are polar opposites of each other. Bash is more responsible and reasonable than Dash while rather quiet and timid, but he still has bounds of excitement. Dash, on the other hand, is hyper and outgoing while rather reckless and daring. 4. Ferdinand: He is the silent member of the Logging Locos, serving as the strongest but slowest of the trio. He is rather wise despite his quiet nature, and likes watching Bash and Dash argue over their shenanigans. 5. Connor and Caitlin (I don’t hate them, I just wanna portray them differently): Connor has the same personality, but he’s also quite smooth, smug, cocky, flashy and competitive and enjoys a challenge. Caitlin, on the other hand, is almost the same, but acts like a sister figure to Connor. 6. Ryan (again, I don’t hate him): He has the same personality, though there are times when he can be a bit stuck-up. What are your thoughts? I will add more characters when I think about how to rewrite them.

Hey there! Glad to see you’re doing well! Chances are you won’t see this, but I wanted to ask what happened to your Railway Series audiobooks playlist? It’s not included in the scrapyard, unfortunately! I would be sad to hear that you hated those readings enough to delist them- I’ve been using them to fall asleep to now for several months straight, and I find them incredibly comforting. I was rather particular to your pacing and vocal quality over other iterations of the stories, and they always tend to lead me into cozier sleep than I’ve had for years. Obviously, I understand if you don’t love them and want to leave them in the past, but they’ve become very dear and charming to me, as well as a huge part of my sleep routine 😅 I know they may be gone forever now, but I do hope you know your older work is still appreciated! Either way, I’ll be glad to see whatever new topics you branch out on :) Editing to add: I’ve spent the last several minutes trying to find an adequate replacement narrator, and I’m not finding anyone else I enjoy listening to. All other readings are either broken up into tiny story segments (which means loud ad breaks every few minutes) or have loud, obnoxious intros or sound effects that throw off my sleep and make my ears want to bleed. Yours were the only ones without unnecessary background noises or engine whistles that kept waking me back up 😅 they’re also the only ones posted cleanly in the full book format rather than by chapter, which meant I didn’t get clattered awake with advertisements. 😅

Hi there Thomas Cynic. I remember commenting on this video exactly two years ago when it came out. Watching it again, I'd say that the Great Discovery is a great send off to the model series. And yes, Thomas was a bit unlikeable in the middle of the film, but that's one of the many strengths of this film (By the way, I still chuckle at the North Korean flag you put at the beginning lol).
