Someone needs to fix this so we can link directly to "What a World". It is the better of the two songs. (Thank you Daman!)

Lansing's finest. Even though I'm only as old as the 'Jan's Room' EP, I'm a proud and def NOT RICH FUCK owner of both actual EP's, prior to that T&G reissue double pack from a few years back. I don't brag about much, but those are things that'll cherish til my stupid ass stops breathing.

It took me a long time to find any trace of this band, saw them in Houston at a punk club called The Island in the early 80's, left a lasting impression.

WTF??? What about 'Stand or Fall' and 'Red Skies Tonight'? ...I'm just provoking you. 'Cos the Elite' on the Jan's Rooms EP has a moment I'll never forget. It's in a pretty brisk hXc tempo, and the song goes verse, chorus, verse, etc. And then there's a fadeout. And they come back literally at double speed. It was like, "Holy shit." And I realized why most kids were just stunned like they were hit with a bat when they first heard hardcore, back whenever that was. The speed didn't compute.

I got the compilation of their recordings, At the Speed of Twisted Thought, and I can't listen to the rest of the album beyond these two songs. Not that the rest of it isn't badass, I just have to replay these two over and over and fucking over.
