Great video. While it breaks my heart it´s nice to see the insides of my Parker 5o5. I´ve got hull number 7929 and want to restore it to it´s former glory. Even now it´s the fastest boat on the lake.

so how did it sink? through the pilot house window? Steel boats do not sink without holes in them if they have water tight bulkheads and hatches..so that leaves the pilot house i saw a lot of the glass was broken...??

the Hulls in the 60,s were made by Faireys Marine on the Hamble and were HOT moulded. We bought them at Davis's 4 or 6 at a time It was only the last and possibly the first few that were made outside Fairey marine . There was a fleet of these at Thorpe Bay yacht club in Southend .We also would send to Canada to order Unfortunately for this boat It needed a decent crafts man to restore it . Looking at the vid it was a doable job but a lot of hours When i was on my 5 year apprenticeship in the 60's I worked with some clever craftsmen and am eternally grateful to them for imparting their skill to me I remember making centre boards and rudders out of Agba timber for these boats . These boards were all one piece and all hand made with planes ,spokeshaves and scrapers. This boat rings a bell as it had little shelves between the deck knees for some place to put your your fags and lighter This was a bit of a joke in the yard at that time . I have a feeling these were put in as there was a slight damage repair on the hull on one side

This boat was built in the 60.s by JW Davis of Westcliffe on sea Essex the give away is the deck king plank with the sycamore fillets also the trim of the sisde tanks .The gunwhales with the sycamore is also a Davis givaway The Hull laminate direction is also a giveaway as a 60,s boat I worked on several of these boats i I was an apprentice working on these and also enterprises and Gp,s and also the swordfish which was,an albacore shell with the shearline cut down . Sorry to see it go I could have well worked on this one
