@firepenguin1030 Agree, Forge is a tool to make developers' and designers' lives easier. I doubt that AI can replace them because they are the only ones who understand the output of AI and are able to finalize it in the production phase.

Design Tokens manage quality over time. Most non-Fortune 500 companies are not focused on quality, which delivers stability over time. They are focused on velocity and sales at any cost, even if that cost is human capital. Quick wins usually outweigh intelligent investments, and it's this value system that forces teams to silo themselves within organizations to compete with their own OKRs. Google does not worry about keeping the lights on, but small businesses and startups do. SaaS apps don't run on Figma files; they run on front-end & back-end code. Figma files are guidelines or explorations, not "truth." Design Tokens are the agreements between software development's UI and business logic phases. People break agreements all the time! Example: We can't even get 55% of Americans to stop having extramarital affairs. How do you expect us to get 55% of developers using tokens and Design Systems?! That said, if you have a good team with high performers, they'll bake in scalable habits. They'll set up their design-to-code pipeline with whatever Desgn Token solution works for them because they have learned that cutting corners eventually explodes in their faces. They'll manage design and code repo to automate quality control. Hire a handful of seniors (real seniors with 20+ years of experience building things for large and small houses), make it easy for them to implement Design Tokens, and you'll create a healthy culture. Hire the cheapest "full stack developers" willing to join, and you'll get siloed teams struggling to stay above water. …but what do I know? I'm just a bot on the internet.

Is there an exporter built yet that takes the token format and creates it as a Json or amazon style dictionary update too?
How are you be able to export semantic tokens directly from Figma? How you can separate those from the core styles of your library? Looking forward to explaining how to create and scale alias tokens inside Supernova.
