Christian Biographies is dedicated to bringing Informative and Accessible Introductions on Christians who have impacted the faith throughout the past 2000 years. Whether you're a student looking to start research or just someone into history; these videos help you start in the right place.
The time periods covered are split between 0-500; 500-1500; 1500-1900; and 1900-Present. Our goal is not to focus on one group or sect, but to create biographies for a wide range of beliefs within what is considered the Christian faith. Because of this, there are people we will cover that may be regarded as Heroes to one group but Heretics to another.

I was studying the Council of Nicea, and came across your video. I agree with the 315 rather than the 3 who opposed the final wording. There is an Athanasian creed written around 500 AD, which would be after Athanasius passed away. To believe Jesus was a created person would give much less meaning to the New Covenant, and would diminish or destroy Mary being Theotokos(mother of God). It would also diminish the importance of praying through Jesus to reach the Father in Heaven(God), and would also separate Jesus from the holy Spirit. In other words, it would invalidate at least half of our faith and half of the Bible. Therefore we must accept and believe Jesus is consubstantial with the Father and regard his decrees, instructions and commandments as sourced from God in Heaven.
The European west prospered because of following the examples of the Bible which they took with them when they migrated to Americas and applied the same principles because if which they prospered to the currrnt srage. But sadly the youngsters of today have so much FREE-DOM that they have FORGOTTEN how hard their ancestors worked to make the west to bring to the current state as uf all they have now has dropped down from the sky and thry are the conttollers of even the rights of the individual.

Thank you, the video itself was fine as a podcast it was informative. I can't say I have any respect for the subject. Being an Australian I can only say I wish she'd never set foot on this soil. And as for the SDA church, they're nothing but a money making greedy bunch of Bible bashing thieves like all so called Christians. They've made a fortune out of fake food and paid no tax for all these years. They've just helped make people fat and sick and then they've had to pay the SDA hospital and doctors to get well again. Very good video of an incredible saint but your music choice is distracting. Recommend using Gregorian chant when talking about Saint Benedict and other great saints.
Musical choice is difficult as Benedict predates even Pana Lingua Gloriosi which melody is of the 7th century.

More! More!! This was such wonderful information but, is there a long version of the life of Athanasius? He went through so many different things that it’s hard to grasp it all in a short version in 12 minutes. You do a wonderful job on these videos. I just finished Anthony of Egypt, which led me here. I also would like to have a list of others who were living a hermit type life BEFORE Anthony because it says he learned from others. 😊

From "we believe in the Holy spirit" ..... was unchanged from the apostle's creed after nicaea. That change came from the council of Constantinople in 381 and Toledo c447 ? ?

Neither do the modern day CoC's. So they through incredible levels of denial, dogma, and pretext they want to distance themselves from A.C and Mr Stone and cling to ANYTHING in the N.T. that says "Church of Christ" and "First day of the week".
