I agree so much
looking forward to the heartless release. i love it even more in the light purple!!
The only reason to block a sock is to show it off! Your foot blocks it just fine if you're just wearing it!
I'm also planning on finally hopping on the mousselburgh train. We'll see how it goes!
yay, let me know!! it’s been a really fun & chill knit so far for me!
@@midsummerknits your video made me print the pattern so yeah, one mousselburgh coming up! 🤩

Where can I find the pattern? Have you finished it? 💜
it's in testing now and i'm planning to publish it by may 1st at the latest!!
i love this! as a fellow knitter i always enjoy seeing people constantly finding every moment to knit🧡
What wool did you use for the purple cicely top
it's listed on my ravelry!! www.ravelry.com/projects/midsummerknits/cicely-blouse but the yarn i used for the body is sweet georgia superwash worsted in wisteria :)
It's about quality not quantity.
My 'hot take' is that we need to seperate the slow fashion/sustainability debate from fiber arts as a hobby. Sure, it is good to try to be sustainable, but it feels so ingrained into the hobby that it adds a lot of stress and expectations on people who are just trying to have fun and create cool things. Being mad at people for making lots of sweaters or using acrylic yarn is so unproductive and toxic in my opinion. Making 10 sweaters by hand is already a lot better than buying 10 bad quality sweaters that were made in sweatshops anyway. I think people tend to forget that the hobby is fairly sustainable anyway (compared to many others) and that forcing your own expectations on the entire fiber arts community is not helping anyone
😲 You're so talented!! ✨ Wow. For sure I will buy a pattern of yours and I'm usually not excited about buying patterns 😅 The heart top and the leafy top 🍃 are just purely artistic ✨😍
it’s probably easier for you to get a dev job at KZread than making living wage from being a content creator lol
very sick!! more content pls
Loved this, thanks for sharing! This was super interesting for me as someone starting out on my own content creation journey 😊
thank you for being so transparent in this video it was very interesting! i would love to one day make a little bit of extra pocket money off my channel, but for now i am happy doing it for fun and just to share what i've been knitting and crocheting with the internet.
Have heartbreaker testers been selected yet 👀
new emma midsummer knits video we are SO back!!! hyped for this one and appreciate your openness with us :)
I thought you would make more! But honestly I would have thought you had more followers, in a you deserve more way! 2024 will be the year you take off! Also youtube should take a smaller cut from the ads and youtubers should make more. Also I feel like Tik Tok should be paying out before 10k followers, since I feel like people can be following you on tik tok without actually following you--like the comment for the algorithm to bring them back.
I love it how transparent you are, that's awesome and so interesting to see! 😍 I don't mind seeing brand partnerships with yarn companies every now and then, as long as it's not dominating your content and I can trust that you are honest in your reviews and would only recommend a yarn if you actually liked it. 😊
The knitting queen is back!!
Just in time for tax season!!!
Your little hair braid 🥹
Do you have any tutorials or basic guidelines for the base tank top?
Free patterns are important. A big thing for the fiber arts community is that it’s accessible. Free patterns are part of what makes fiber arts accessible because a lot of people cannot pay for patterns. Plus it’s the artist’s choice if they want to make people pay for it or not regardless of how complex it is. Also some people need to see a pattern before deciding if they will do it or not so buying patterns online isn’t really an option for them. I personally cannot buy a pattern I cannot read first. Either I only make free patterns I find online or I buy an inexpensive book (I barely have the money to buy any yarn)
What I think is cool about it is that the pieces store well, so even if you abandon it you can pick it back up when the bee’s back in your bonnet. :-)
I think it's really refreshing and cozy to watch a knits of the year video from a fellow slower knitter! Yours is actually the only one I've watched for 2023 so far, because I always end up feeling a little bummed out with myself when I see just how much more other people manage to knit, because I also have soo many things I would love to knit but I don't always have time or energy, and I also knit fairly slow, so thanks for your cool video! :) Also, I think I would love to knit a lilac/purple heartless top for going to see Olivia on the GUTS tour at the end of May this year!! <3
I like Emma @madeinthemoment so much and being so open and transparent makes me like them even more! Thanks to you for the video!
Hey Emma! thank you so much for the shoutout <3
