    Hey there greetings from the Pacific Northwest in the USA - I sincerely appreciate your video for its HONESTY - it's refreshing, especially when considering how so many travel/culture videos of a similar focus tend to overly hype the place they are talking about. Thanks!

    I spent a lot of time in Jakarta area which i like. Way too many Influencers in Bali lately so i haven't been in 20 years. It just seems way more expensive now for all the touristy stuff. Sad about all the trash. =( Yes always deals if you stay off the trendy spots. =)

    Thank you so much for your video. :) Do you think I can do this itinerary in a day or two? I will probably have a day and a half in the city. I was planning to take a metro to the rådhuspladsen and walk up. Do you think I can see most of this places in a day?

  • @thenordicadam
    @thenordicadamКүн бұрын

    Hi Fabio, yes, it is possible to do in a day. However, that will be quite rushed and you won't have a lot of time to enjoy each place, and you'll probably need some breaks, food etc. The Inner City part is a great and you can do a lot of that in a day for sure, depending on your preferences. Starting at Rådhuspladsen is perfect and then walking around to all the cool places you like. If you want to enjoy museums and places like Tivoli where you'd spend several hours, it will of course take some time away from other things. Enjoy your trip!

    Bali is indeed overyhyped and overrated. Dirty alot of thrashed, traffic jammed, and the beach are not even that great. Garbage everywhere. Maybe the goodthing of Bali is you have to experience some other culture and some greenery on the nature but overall it's a bit overhype. It's just a normal destination nothing surprising in your eyes.

  • @thenordicadam
    @thenordicadam3 күн бұрын

    Yes, we do. If you own property there's a tax. If you then sell the property - and you have lived there - you don't have to pay taxes on the profit though (if you have any). I don't think the tax goes towards anything in particular, just in the big pile of government money :) Thanks for watching!

    this video is just making everything slightly more negative than it really is. i live in a completely renovated apartment in city center at half the price of what he said. Those prices are what you pay when you got ripped off. And the nature is nice

  • @thenordicadam
    @thenordicadam8 күн бұрын

    If you got an apartment like that for $1000, you are indeed one of the lucky ones. There are apartments like that for sure - but if you haven't been on a list for years or don't know anybody that can get you a foot in the door, it's very hard to get them (in particular for foreigners). I'm not a big fan of the nature, as you could probably hear from the video, but if you like it, that's awesome. Thanks for watching! :)

    I visited Kobenhavn in 2018, in February sadly, but I still loved it. I had long johns under my jeans, double socks, gloves and pretty warm jacket. But I was freezing still, extremely cold wind didn't help either. That, and having spent whole day out, we walked like 20km that day, to see as much as possible. It is properly cold, I'll give you that. Was still enjoying the beautiful architecture of old buildings with clipped roofs and bricks. You were lucky to be excluded from major battles in recent history. Unlike Serbia here, which was practically leveled in WW1 and WW2, then came the communists which destroyed the rest of buildings from the old kingdom. It is expensive and I was expecting that, some things are just over your head, like having a pint of beer or any food except the hot dogs which are pretty good and somewhat cheap. We did find some locally brewed lager in Christianshavn for around 2,5 euros if I remember correctly. :) Gonna have to visit Denmark next summer to properly enjoy it during warm, long days.

  • @thenordicadam
    @thenordicadam8 күн бұрын

    Yeah, that wind is the real culprit! Going in Summer definitely sounds right for you :) - Many places are really expensive, but there are still some great deals out there; sounds like you found one! I hope to cover more of places like that in the future. Thanks a lot for watching and sharing your thoughts.

    I'm in Toronto and Copenhagen looks cheaper. Rent for a two bed is $3000+ per month. Eating out typically is $30 - $50. Also, there isn't much nature and what nature there is left is boring for the most part. Winters can be evil with temperatures dropping as low as -40(rare but does happen). Even the typical -20 it far too cold for me. Great video!

    Honestly, don't travel to places you can't afford. Living in crummy hostels and not eating proper restaurant meals just ruins the experience in my opinion. I suppose it's different if you are backpacking and THAT is the goal of your trip but I'd never travel just for the sake of travel without the proper budget.

    This is wild, watching from Southern California (South of LA) this almost looks economical. average 2 bed apartment to rent here is much closer to $3000 USD or above.
