This guy gets it, I'm no martial arts expert, but you can just tell when someone actually understands the real physics behind something and then explains it in such a way. It actually makes a lot of demos I've seen make more sense now, and proves a lot of others I've seen as being complete bullshit.

This man does know what he is talking about. I see a lot of similarities between what he teaches and what I learned in kajukenbo and arnis de mano. A lot of similarities to silat as well.

All of these moves look great! However, I wish that some of them can be demonstrated against a resisting opponent. Street dudes and trained fighters tend to throw punches in bunches, grapple etc. Of course, you cant poke an eye out for demonstration purposes. Put on some gloves and show us against someone who is fighting back.

Excellent vid. All the comments re 'this looks like WC, JKD, Krav Maga' etc - what they all have in common is a preference for combining a strike and a parry in a single technique then flowing into further strikes without retracting the arms. Where many of these discussions go south is when someone points out that a really good boxer wouldn't move like that - great, but the instructor is *demonstrating a principle* not trying to cover the worst case scenario. I might live a sheltered life, but I've never been attacked or threatened by a serious martial artist despite growing up on the streets of Sydney and retiring to the birthplace of Muay Thai. Not once in 55 years- YMMV. Drunk footballers are a completely different animal but that's far more likely to be your opposition on the street than anyone who is seriously pursuing a boxing career of any description, at least IME. Situational awareness and the willingness to walk away when you hear voices being raised are every bit as important as any technique you'll see on YT - avoid bars full of young guys getting hammered or be prepared to go wherever that path takes you. Peace out.
