@lverkuijlАй бұрын
The motor is brushless, runs in the dry (o-ring seal on the impeller shaft) 4200kv on single cel lipo. Make I don't know , it's a 1106 outrunner.

Where is the intake for the jet pump? I thought it would be the same scoop as the jet engine, under the cockpit, but your servios mechanism looks like it would be in the way.
@lverkuijlАй бұрын
It is the same scoop, there is room for water to flow to the rear in de thicker parts of the wings, or actualy in the fuselage. It flows left an right of the original jet engine so to speak.

@lverkuijlАй бұрын
Yes I can, the rudders are made out off aftermarket universal RC boat rudders in aprox. the same saze as the Deans Marine set. They have been cut to make the flap. Hinges and controll pin are made with brass rod and tubing. You can't buy them as these are in this size as far as I know.

@@lverkuijl thank you very much. My next question is this. I have had a look at the motors you used however they are now discontinued as your build is now 7 years ago. Could you recommend motors for me that spin up like the ones you have in the video. Also the shrouds for the props would you mind letting me know what they are aswell. Thanks
@lverkuijlАй бұрын
@@Poonslaya Any motor 500 to 700 KV will do. The smooth running is not in the motor but in the ESC. Use car ESC's with forward-reverse, with no break function, of where you can switch to direct forward-reverse. XC-10A ESC's have proven to be good in conjuction with the programmer card. Set to direct forward-reverse, and low start power. Search AliExpress on "XC-10a".

Thank you for your input. I am only concerned about the motors not being powerful enough they need to be able to go in the sea and seal with some surf I have seen 1900kv out runners I may go for them and then do as you say regarding the esc

Interesting concept. Never thought I’d see a fighter jet as a submarine. Just a quick thought through. Wouldn’t the horizontal stabilators (elevators) be good to have as they could act as the “dive planes” that most (if not all) modern military submarines have? You could control the dive and ascent angle easier with the “dive planes/stabilators”.
@lverkuijlАй бұрын
This was only a test for the self designed and resin printed jet drive, to see if it has enough thrust and will work propperly. That it already went down was just a bonus ;-) Offcourse the horizontal stabilizers will be added to act as diving- and roll planes later on.
