I found with mine, on my 1st tail lift. The air line to the air bag was above the frame. So when I lifted it snagged. So be careful have a bright light check that and wiring. The 1st time because when you fix these. Easy next time. Tail Lift is the best thing I have done on my GL1500 (1988). Thanks.

Amazing! This is a great product. I just recently found out that it is possible to pull a trailer on a motorcycle. Do I need a special license for this trailer? Where can I install the bike hitch? I'm Japanese, but when I was young I bought a motorcycle in Australia and traveled for two months. At that time, I was a student, so I couldn't spend a lot of money and it wasn't a rich trip. I started from Brisbane, ran along the coast, passed through major cities such as Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne and Adelaide, headed north to Ayers Rock and Alice Springs, then down to Port Augusta and then to Perth. Finally, I went to see the Pinnacles in Nambung National Park. Such motorcycle trailers are rarely used in Japan. This may be a must-have item as I want to continue the journey someday.

Hi Jurasic. I am just about to embark on my project which will basically be identical to yours. Like others here I want the versatility of being able to remove the RTT from the trailer to fit back to my 4WD. I was thinking of mounting the RTT on a flat marine ply and hinging it like you have. I was fascinated to hear you used gate hinges for the hinged side. Can you advise what size you used? Also with the ladder did you cut down the supplied ladder with the RTT or get another somewhere? If so can you advise where? In my case because I may want to fit the RTT back to my Landrover I need a long ladder for that purpose. Look forward to hearing from you and sure mine will look just as good behind my Royal Star as yours does behind the Goldie. Arthur-Canberra
@GHOSTWHOWALKERS5 жыл бұрын
My ladder came apart at the right height and if you need to lengthen it just slide it back together. The hinges were from Bunnings and were very large and beefy..around 4mm in thickness.
@arthurmitchell33725 жыл бұрын
Thanks for that. With the hinges did you use a specific type of gate hinge? I see T shape, Triangle and smaller yet beefy rectangle ones. Thought I might go to school on yours if you can recall.
@GHOSTWHOWALKERS5 жыл бұрын
@@arthurmitchell3372 I used really big T type hinges. Approx 200 x 100. The wider the better as it shares the weight on the hinge. Hope this helps
