    The fact that changes were made and Masi removed proves that it was wrong what they did. Hamilton was robbed yet Verstappen allowed to keep the championship. That is why I no longer follow or watch F1.

    TL;DR. Context is everything. The “slipstream” behind a car, as a result of the leading car punching a hole in the air, takes the air off of your splitter/front wing and off of your spoiler/rear wing. This allows you to go like hell down the straights… because it _mutilates_ your downforce. Thus, when it comes time to make a corner, it’s best to pull out of the leader’s wake or you’re just not going to have enough aero grip to make it through in one piece. The slipstream and dirty air are the same. It’s _where_ it happens when you use one or the other.

    Why it is called pitstop?

    The clutch doesn't engage during anti-stall, it disengages. You meant the right thing just the wording was reversed. Confusion might arise due to the clutch pedal being "engaged" to disengage the clutch.

    Why can’t the driver in front turn on his drs?

  • @henryt9254
    @henryt925418 күн бұрын

    The key word in using DRS is that the chasing car has to be within 1 second of the car in front. The scenario is that if you are within 1 sec of the car in front, then you are already faster than the leading car. However, the physics of racing is that you have to be a lot faster to be able to overtake, so the argument is that since the chasing car is already faster then the leading car to be able to get within 1 sec, then the advantage goes to the chasing car being able to use DRS to overtake. That is the only reason DRS is imposed to give a boost to the chasing car that in theory is faster, but just cannot overtake..

    Another lame function that requires absolutely no skill on the driver to execute it. The defending driver is sitting duck with the competition engaging in DRS. You see now 90% of passing in F1 is done by DRS. Some fans find this exciting, but I found it lame and boring to watch.

    Without DRS, every race would be as pointless as Monaco is. It would be completely done after qualifying

    This is highly unfair. Those who start behind face traffic ahead and thus are less likely to register good lap times and get a pole position. what they should do is standardize the car and only allow 1 or 2 drivers at a time. This will ensure good drivers dont suffer from crappy cars and the starting position

    I wish some points for drivers that finish 10+ ... one point also for all those finishing within the same lap as the winner. This will motivate the weaker teams. 🙂
