Man hitting that toe twice! Didn’t realize it was at the very beginning that you broke it! That must’ve made the evening a bit more interesting lol
Still pretty sore but will be out next week. See you out there.
Thanks again for the ride, also thank you for the shoutout and I hope your toe heals quickly.
I'll just rub some dirt on it, all good. Wiil be riding next week. See you out there.
Oh no did the up and over get you?? I hate that one haha
Going to slow. Bike survived but I fell in the ditch. Wasn't my best moment.
@@hillquestdualsport I fell off a bridge once, so every time I cross this abomination I think of that and it makes me super nervous lol, so I hear ya
Hi Tony, I like your 390 content. Hope to see you out there sometime soon. I have installed the Veridian Cruise control on my 390 today and it is fantastic. Anyway keep it up. I like to see what other 390 riders are doing.
Thanks again Kelvin. I am definitely going to look into a cruise control before my 10 day ride to Van Island in September and the Veridian seems to be the option I am considering.
@@hillquestdualsport Veridian is based in Calgary. I ordered it online and got a discount using the promo code VCFacebook. I then went over to his house and picked it up. Nice guy knows his stuff.
Great video and great ride. You got my crash. lol
Hah, I hope you don't mind:) See you next time.
@@hillquestdualsport not at all. We'll ride again.
That was a great wee spot you stopped for your food. Some superb scenery, I was surprised how much traffic there was.
Hey, it was pretty sweat except for the active horse highway. .... On the long weekend it always seems to be a lot busier than usual, that's why I generally prefer to head to the foothills mid week. Although I didn't video it, I did go about 20 kms to the end of the road west of the Lodge. I only saw one vehicle out there.
@@hillquestdualsport Aye, I often don't ride on holidays.
Oooooo new bucket! Nice!
It's been 5 years with the Scorpion and time to replace. I forgot how much good safe $$$$ helmets cost.
❤❤❤❤❤
Mannnn it always feels like you’re so much higher when trying to jump, then you look back at the video and your dreams are crushed 😂😂😂
No kidding. It always feels faster, higher and farther.
Amazing 😮 off road
Man that was slick out there. Porkies mud is something else for sure
👍👍
where did you get that bracket from? did it come with the lights?
The bracket was a scrap piece of metal I had in the garage. I shaped it to fit.
If you can believe it, some people tow a trailer up that narrow road from the north into the south staging area. The south entrance is much nicer especially for day trips or even to tow a trailer into!
Hi Tony, I like your content both on the 390 adventure and that you’re based in Calgary. I also have the 2023 390 adventure. Have been in Florida for the better part of the year and have just returned to Calgary. I have plans this summer to explore around Southern Alberta. I have been to a lot of the places that you have put on KZread, but there are some that I’m seeing for the first time. Keep up the good work thank you very much.
Thanks for watching Kelvin. I am always on the look out for other 390 riders so I may just bump into you on the trails.
lol I saw the turn where I went straight up the hill 😂😂😂 how the heck did I miss that 😅
You followed the pro route. Good riding.
what's the name of the last trail with the bridge? thanks!
That one is named Pecker Poles and starts at marker 610 through to marker 588.
Looks good. Where are these trails? I don't recognize the area
Hey Daniel, this is at McLean Creek. Marker 512 to 570 and then 610 to 588. I hope you are able to get out a ride.
@@hillquestdualsport I might be available for a ride in the Nordegg area next weekend if you’re interested. Could do either dual sport or enduro.
@@danielleppington Unfortunately, that is the only weekend I am already booked for a 4 day group ride through BC. Please let me know the next time you go and I will try to make it.
omg❤
A very different landscape from what you are used to riding. Thanks for checking it out.
We just did that loop last night! Looks like you’re riding pretty damn good! Mix of the gloves and the new 3-hundo !!!
Definitely the gloves 🧤
I just ordered a low seat for my KTM 790 ADV 2020. But I am really worried about the comfort of the low seat. Is it as good as the XL tall one or the original tall one compared to the low one?
I wondered the same thing and as it was explained to me, the foam padding is the same what is different is the mold of the seat so you should be okay
@hillquestdualsport Many thanks, man!
It was a good ride!
wow amazing brother ❤❤❤
Polisport sell a heat guard for the silencer that will take care of any burning if the bag rubs the silencer. You can get it from Slavens Racing (I got 1 from them)
Do the new guards clear the front fender?
I don't have the bike anymore although to answer your question - by trimming off that small area of the guard, it was able to freely move without touching the fork clamp. There was about 1/2 inch clearance between the guard and the fender so no issue there.
Its speedo error aroun 3-5kph thats added to all vehicles so the speedometer never overstates the speed its required by law in some countries. I have noticed the same error in all the cars and bikes ive driven.
Interesting and great to know. I would never had thought it would be a global standard. Thanks for the info and the reply.
o my god off-road 😊
Awesome ❤❤❤
I understand that in the 2023 there is a delay after shutting down before the TC automatically resumes, so that if you can get going quickly enough, no problem. Check the manual.
I did read the manual although I didn't see that. Very good to know. Thanks, I will have to test that out.
Two recommendations: Get a software update, bend your knees when standing and you will find the shape perfect (and you will miss stock pegs).
Thanks for those. I do plan to get the software update with my next service.
If you set MTC off while the bike is not on, as soon as your turn the bike on, MTC automatically turns on. This is the only thing I hate about my 390, I hate this sooo much, that the only solution was adding a middle switch between the abs rear sensor cable to the handlebars, so now if I want to shut all off, I just flick a switch and done, and it will not reset until you flick the switch back on. This is probably the best mod to do for everyone doing heavy offroading like I do
Too bad about the video being in hyper speed, but glad you still posted it. Conditions definitely weren’t ideal eh?
glad you were able to save the video. looks like it was a fun ride. thanks for posting
We got some Motoz tires coming that are about 70 dirt, 30 street for the 390, that's an Aussie company that mainly makes desert tires, and a Molecule Motorsports skid plate made out of that super hard composite rubber, and also replaced the bark busters with ones made out of metal instead of the stock ones. I love the KTM 390 so far, and your foot peg suggestion is also a good idea, as my brother and I were commenting on how the stock ones are more forward leaning. The KTM dealer here in the grand valley of Colorado was having good deals on all the 2023s, so out the door tax and everything it was 7500.00 total, my brother has the 690 dual sport. Happy riding my friend, and naturally a huge like and a sub as well, greetings from Fruita Colorado!🙂
Thanks for the comment. Yes, my tire of choice is going to be the Motoz Tractionator GPS on the rear with the Motoz Tractionator Adventure on the front. I did put Molecule MS on my 2 stroke and will definitely add a set to the 390. Safe riding.
Looks a little greasy out there still!
It's the ice under the water that is the worst. A couple more weeks and all should be good.
Welcome to the season. I was wondering how the mountain snow situation was and now i know. :) Few more weeks and i'll head in there
It was nice to get out again. The broken arm felt good and the bike worked as expected. For sure, a few more weeks for the ice to melt away and it should be better.
WELCOME BACK.!
It is nice to be riding again.
Is it NICE to be Posting again, or is that too much work and not much Reward.?
@@AngelFaceMotoRider Actually, I really missed video editing and will try to get one a week until the snow flies.
You do not have to do that to impress me, just post if & when you want too. I noticed you took about 3-months off from posting.
Do you have the quick shift option?
I did consider paying $200 for that option but of the reviews I have read, they are split so I will pass for now.
I knew you were Canadian as soon as I heard your accent. 😎
Hah. it's funny how Canadian accents differ between regions. I am hoping to get out mountain riding here as soon as our snow melts although my Victory needs some kms too. Have a great riding season.
@hillquestdualsport You too. Have a great riding season! 👍
Thanks for the short but sweet review.....Just what i needed to pull the trigger on my 2005 KTM 525 Exc.....Thanks for the information, i appreciate it. P.s. You have another new subscriber.👍👍
Your butt will appreciate the comfort of a seat concepts seat. Thanks for watching and subscribing.
I have one, me likey……….
And the more I ride it, the more I appreciate how light it is and can go more places than a big bike can go. Thanks for watching,
Its a turn knob
I know that, and its pulls out for cold starts but it hard to reach having short fingers. I figured out a way. Thanks for the comment.
I received my new seat from Seat Concepts, today! I kept the same measurements as the OEM seat. I put the seat on my 2024 KTM 500 EXC-F Six Days. The seat is by far, the best seat I’ve ever purchased for any dual sport bike. The comfort is a day & night difference. I’m really loving the comfort!
They are so comfortable. Expensive but worth it if you put in a lot of seat time in a day. that is a great bike you have, enjoy it.
I don't like the color. The only thing that should be orange is an orange. In fact, the hinderance of getting one is based on the color being orange. They really should have keep the white with blue accents.
Either people love it or hate it. Orange is KTM so I guess it is part of the brand. I never liked the orange but it grew on me.
Ok Karen. 😂
@@sled9263 It's a joke. Then again it's plagued with issues. So orange might in fact be it's best attribute.
Awesome. Do you have a link to the parts you used? I also live in Canada. Also was a inline fuse not required? If so how come? Thanks

Good question and I forgot to share that when I installed it on the bike I did add a fuse.
Looks awesome! Would love to join you on my DR650 this year
Sure thing. shoot me an email when riding season starts and we can make a plan.
I like your tail I find out where you got it who makes it thank you?
The name on the bag is Genesis. It was marketed as a tail bag for a sport bike. In general, I like the bag although the zippers could be a little more rugged. Thanks for checking out my video.
I do not have my phone today, but I wanted to tell you that Elle West & "Jeremy Kroeker", "I Think we Missed A Turn" , "owen_lush" & "RIDE NORTH MOTO" were ALL at the MotoShow on Saturday according to Rick & my Friends. I heard you met "Daniel Leppington" did you get to meet any other MotoVloggers.? 😀
I did meet Daniel and saw Rick for a bit. I had to leave for a family emergency and did not have time to see Jeremy.
Save yourself and your viewers rhe headache and get the Motion Pro 02-0426 - took all of 15 minutes to remove the factory cable and install this one. No messing around with the high rubber jacket or loosening any screws - direct replacement. Just remember to oil the cable before installation. Himalayans are garbage parts...
Good to know and thanks for the tip. cheers.
Tyres are tube or tubeless ones?
The tire do have tubes and I am OK with that. It makes it easier to lower the tire pressure for riding trails or off road. For Highway riding the pressure is 29lbs. For off road I will drop it down to around 15lbs.
@@hillquestdualsport exactly! I too own the same bike but was curious to know if foreign models got the TUBE SPOKE WHEELS or the TUBELESS one’s.
