  The Port Authority is pure CRINGE, hence why I preferred their now defunct sidewalk BOLT BUS operation. And of course MEGABUS is my go to for DC trips. Peter Pan also, of on sale.

  Don't remember. But I believe that it's like most coaches within Europe where two bags and one soft carry-on bag is allowed.

  Yes, there are bag racks at both entrances of every cabin section. There are also overhead spaces above seats for bags.

  @SS-bi4ps the National Express coach allows only 2 bag pieces (1 small + 1 big), trains have no written restrictions on baggage pieces.

  Out of Washington DC? I'm not sure. We only used the bus into the city, and we were able to see the Capitol.

  @not_rubi, for this particular bus we took on this trip, it was just at the passenger side. However, some Blablacar buses have other charging points close to the second door stairs with bigger sockets.

  Hey I’m taking the train in 4 hours and really need to know if they require scanning your luggage before entering the train as I am carrying a big bike with me. As I recall all you had to do was get your ticket scanned first (explaining the long queue) and then you’re good to go and find the wagon.
