  The hilts un-installed are nice ,,, buy those and get installed elsewhere ,. Saberforge have a well earned reputation of poor installation methods and very poor QC. Go to Sabertrio or Vader Vault first . If your in the UK go to Padawen Outpost.

  This is the one in Oregon City, Oregon? yeah, if it is, I went there to buy 2 of them not knowing a single damn thing. I brought my helmet with me, bought one of the "blade" blanks to hit my helmet with. It shattered on my helmet (which is exactly what I was expecting because the helmet is for full speed, full contact live steel combat and I did a full power swing at it), throwing plastic shards all over the store floor, and the guy doesn't even blink and hands me another blank. I said, what? He said "we have a lifetime replacement for free for the "blade" blanks that go into the lightsaber hilts. I immediately bought 2 lightsaber hilts with that blade blank weight. So far they haven't broken. Are they as good as Shinai? It's hard to say, it would be easier to say they are different. But knowing that I can drive 15 minutes to the store and hand over a broken shattered blade and get a new one for free is more than I need to know to hand them my money and walk out happy. So I have now 2 hilts and 3 blades, one as a spare, The blades haven't broken, the only caveat I would say is they are made for full speed, full power combat against themselves, i/e lightsaber vs lightsaber. Lightsaber vs Shinai should be fine, but only 3 weapon masks and padded armor, maybe even chainmail. Against steel plate armor they will eventually crack and shatter for obvious reasons. It's a plastic blade.
